Chapter 699: Turns out I’m going to meet him
Once Allyce put his number in and dialled it, she pulled out her own phone and saved Severo’s number in it.
However, she looked intently at Severo as she typed the note and shrugged the phone towards herself, as if afraid of being seen by Severo.
Severo narrowed his eyes and gave him a sidelong glance.
Allyce quickly typed “cheeky” before putting the phone away and saying in a loud voice, “I’m done, you can have your phone back”.
Severo picked up the phone and did not ask what note he had just got for himself.
He reflected for a moment before asking her with a serious face: “Who came to see you this morning?
“Izar, haven’t you seen the news about her?”
The news of Izar made the midday headlines and Severo should know.
Severo frowned slightly and did not speak.
Allyce immediately realised that Severo had indeed not seen the news about Izar.
Come to think of it, how could I be reading that kind of boring entertainment news.
“True, I haven’t seen the news, but I know he’s back in the country.” Severo finished and turned to face a floor-to-ceiling window, not knowing what he was looking at, and was silent for a long moment before turning his head to Allyce, “What did he say?”
“What can you tell me, you still don’t want me to go to J”. At this, she felt helpless, did she look so stupid? If she was sent to any random person to tell her she would feel threatened and agree to go to J.
Not to mention the fact that the man who came was also Izar, and again, it might have been more convincing to have Adam.
“Didn’t you say yes?” Severo raised his eyes to her, his face a little stony.
Allyce bristled, with a hint of discontent in her tone, “Of course not.”
However, he remembered something else.
Whether it is Grizzi or Tajo, Izar gets to hitchhike, and was it Grizzi who ordered him to come to Allyce? Or was it Tajo.
In fact, deep down I was more partial to Tajo.
If he returned to J, Grizzi would only benefit indirectly, while the direct beneficiary would be Tagus.
“What?” Severo asked as he saw that Allyce was still staring at him and not making a sound. “Just say whatever comes to mind.”
“I think …,” she hesitated a little to be honest.
Amidst Severo’s encouraging eyes, she chose to tell the truth.
“I think it’s possible that Grandfather has sent Izar after me, they don’t know you’re alive now, let alone back in Cloud Cit, they must think I’m already in sixes and sevens, and if Xabat falls into their hands again, Xabat is your man, I’ll do everything I can to save him.”
The more I analysed it, the more it seemed to be the case.
She was so absorbed in her own thoughts that she didn’t notice Severo’s face, which had sunk at the mention of Tajo.
Only, he quickly picked up his face again and said: “It doesn’t matter what they say”.
“Hmm.”
…
Severo exits through the back door of the LK Group building.
He got into his car alertly and drove off not far before his phone rang.
It has this new number and there are only a few people who know about it.
Taking the time to look, I discovered that it was Betsalem who had called.
“Anything?”
A cold voice, without a trace of additional emotion.
Betsalem thought no more of him, but as a woman who had always been liked by men, it was hard to resent being treated so badly in front of Severo.
“Can’t resist going to Allyce again? Keep it up and don’t try to cure yourself.” There was a hint of sarcasm in Betsalem’s tone, but what he said was also true.
He survived the plane crash, but injured his leg, which did not affect his body much, but the symptoms of hereditary psychosis have been manifesting themselves.
At times, he was so unaware of what he had done that he did not dare go to Allyce even though he had only injured his leg, and during that time he healed his leg while undergoing psychotherapy with Betsalem.
Although the effect was minimal, he had to try again.

“I am your doctor now”. It took Betsalem’s contact with Severo to realise what a grumpy and unbelievable man he was.
“So what, I didn’t ask you to heal me.” Severo acted as if he didn’t care.
Betsalem was too angry to speak and, after taking several deep breaths, she calmed down a little before explaining the purpose of her call: “I heard that Count Castaneda is ill and recuperating at home.
“And then what?”
“The fact that he’s at home recuperating at this time of year is clearly a cover, he must have reached Z by now.” Betsalem couldn’t help but shout at him.
It was a pity that she insisted on telling him, but he reacted as if it didn’t bother him at all.
Severo said with a calm face, “You’ve arrived just in time for me to meet him”.
“Aren’t you afraid he’ll make a move on Allyce?” Betsalem had saved Severo, so he knew a bit about this accident with him, and he had seen before that Tajo didn’t like Allyce.
Besides, with a fortune as large as the LK Group’s, there was no way Tajo would let it fall into Allyce’s hands; he would fight for it, she knew that much.
What he could not understand was Severo.
I had never imagined that Severo, who had such a bad temper, could love a woman so much.
He simply foresaw the danger that was about to occur and prepared everything in advance, giving Allyce all the wealth and power he had spent a small part of his life accumulating.
She is surprised by the depth of Severo’s love and it becomes clear to her that there is no way Severo can love her.
It is not about status or appearance.
Just because it is Betsalem, it will never be Allyce.
She is an incredibly lucky woman.
This is one of the reasons why she has been willing to put up with Severo for so long.
“Don’t worry about any of that, I thank you for all this time, and in the future, you don’t need to contact me again”. After saying this, Severo hung up the phone.
He still had gratitude in his heart for Betsalem, only, after that, he didn’t need to let her interfere any more, he feared she might mess things up.
Betsalem looked at the disconnected phone and, undeterred, called back, only to find that he could no longer be reached.
Severo is really desperate.
No matter how you think about it, you feel a bit uncomfortable.
She grabbed her phone, slightly lost in thought, and then, with a quick thought, curved her lips into a smile and headed downstairs towards the garage.
Although she had given up on Severo and was moved by her love for Allyce, the way he treated her was reason enough for her to give Severo a hard time.
