Chapter 741: Spending the rest of our lives together
He glanced back at the bed to make sure Allyce was still sleeping soundly before turning and leaving.
He leafed through the newspaper article, whose report was clearly fabricated.
I had previously thought that someone had made it known that Allyce had been forced to inject drugs by Senona back in the day.
It turns out that, in the end, it is all nonsense, with no credibility whatsoever.
The good thing is that it came out first thing in the morning and very few people saw the news yet.
Severo made several phone calls, instructed his staff to take care of the matter and then, still feeling uneasy, went out himself.
By the time this matter was discussed, it was about four o’clock in the morning.
She returned home cautiously to find the bedroom light on and her heart fluttered – she hadn’t seen the news, had she?
He stood in the corridor for a while before going upstairs.
When he entered the bedroom, he arrived just in time to see Allyce flicking through something on her phone.
Hearing the door open, Allyce looked up at him.
“You went out? What were you doing out in the middle of the night if you weren’t sleeping? I was about to call you …,” he said with a sleepy, soft look in his voice, as if he hadn’t woken up.
When he finished, he hung up the phone.
Severo was relieved because it seemed she had just woken up and hadn’t heard the news.
Tomorrow was her wedding day and he didn’t want her to be bothered with such things even on such a happy day.
He crossed over, put his arms around her and kissed her.
He squeezed her in his arms and held her tightly as if he wanted to rub her against his body.
Allyce struggled twice and Severo released her.
“You haven’t said where you’ve been!” Allyce was now fully awake.
He noticed that Severo was not wearing his pyjamas, but the formal clothes he normally wore when he went out; he must have gone out.
Severo stared at Allyce for a moment and hesitated, thinking about what he had said earlier, that nothing should be hidden from Allyce.
He came over, sat on the edge of the bed, looked at her and said, “Do you believe me when I tell you that I couldn’t sleep and wanted to go for a walk?
Allyce blinked, “Why can’t you sleep?”
Without waiting for Severo to make any noise, he said, as if something was occurring to him: “You … aren’t nervous, are you?
Severo’s face was suspiciously flushed.
Allyce stared at him with a new look, as if she had seen something new: “You’re very nervous, aren’t you?
“Okay …” Severo opted to be honest amid Allyce’s obviously distrustful look, “A little.”
Allyce laughed out loud with great nonchalance.
Seeing Severo’s face stiffen a little, Allyce was quick to stop his smile and reached out to hug him, “Okay, okay, it’s okay, you won’t be nervous if you hug.
Severo growled coldly, but it didn’t take more than three seconds for the coldness to come and embrace his back.Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.
Neither of us has had much sleep.
Allyce had slept a lot, Severo had been awake all night and was even more refreshed.
The two lay together on the bed, chatting and squinting for a while longer, before getting up.
…
Getting married should be an important day in a woman’s life.
It was only when Allyce sat down in the dressing room to put on her make-up that she finally felt some of the excitement and apprehension of being a bride.
“Ms. Betances has such good skin that you can’t tell she’s a woman who has given birth. The make-up artist complimented her as she applied her make-up.
Even though she knows that on days like this, the make-up artist picks up on kind words, Allyce is happy to hear them.
Allyce smiled, “Thank you, you look beautiful too”.
The make-up artist smiled shyly and found the president’s wife to be quite approachable.
Previously, outsiders only knew that she and Severo had divorced and did not know that Severo had signed over all his assets to Allyce.
Interestingly, these two couples divorced for six months and then remarried in a wedding.
Lucila came in from outside humming, carrying a tray of food in her hands.
She put down the tray and picked up a piece of cake, eating it as she leaned against the dressing table watching Allyce apply her make-up.
He stared at Allyce for a moment, then suddenly let out a “tsk” and said, “Suddenly, I feel like a good cabbage”.
“You call Severo a pig?” Allyce raised her eyes to look at her.
Lucila immediately turned her head and looked around, noticing that Severo was not there, she patted herself on the back: “That’s not what I said”.
She felt suddenly excited. Although Allyce and Severo had been together before and had married on leave, now that they were getting married, she really had the feeling that Allyce was getting married.
Allyce lost her smile.
At that moment, Alonzo also came running in with a small suit.
“Mummy!”
He carried a flower cane in his hand, his suit was well-fitted and his hair neatly combed.
And Allyce’s make-up is done.
He lifted Alonzo up and placed him in a chair, taking a good look at him.
“Alonzo is very handsome today, he looks like a little prince”.
“Mummy looks very pretty today, she looks like a little princess”.
Allyce couldn’t help it, she didn’t know how Alonzo, who hadn’t been much of a talker before, had suddenly become a little ass-kisser.
Without waiting for Allyce to say anything, Alonzo added: “In fairy tales, the little prince and princess always have to live together.
As soon as the words were out of his mouth, a hand picked Alonzo up and placed him on the ground.
Allyce looked up and Severo’s handsome face appeared.
He looked sideways at Alonzo with a provocative tone: “Reading stories at your age, are you a child?
That big?
Alonzo tilted his head to one side, a look of disbelief on his face, but everyone said it was small …
Lucila, a little embarrassed by what she had just said about Severo, pointed to the tray of food and said to Allyce, “Allyce, eat something to fill your stomach first, it may be late before you have time to eat later”.
That said, he pulled Alonzo with her and slipped away.
Alonzo seemed to resist, but was pushed aside by Lucila anyway.
It was then that Severo took a long look at Allyce and, after a long moment, smiled and said: “He looks beautiful today.
“Is she only beautiful today?” Allyce was a little haughty.
Severo’s smile remained the same: “If you like it when I give you a compliment, I can give it to you every day”.
The make-up artist, like a single dog, only felt the cold dog food slapped haphazardly in his face and retreated silently.
Still, his mind was puzzled, the couple seemed to have a good relationship, so why had they divorced earlier?
Spectators always have many doubts, but those involved do not need to have them answered.
It was a day that belonged to both of them, without having to worry about anyone’s gaze.
As the wedding was about to begin, Allyce noticed Lucila looking around as if she was looking for someone.
I knew exactly who Lucila was looking for.
He asked Severo in a low voice: “Is Neto coming?
“We’ve been in contact before, on the way from the airfield. Severo finished and gave Lucila a thoughtful look.
Allyce said nothing about it.
It was at that moment that Xabat approached from behind and spoke quietly next to Severo.
With a slight pause, Severo ordered: “I don’t even want to see her in the future”.
After the events of the previous night, which happened so suddenly, he quickly shook it off and suppressed the news, returned to Bay on Cloud, without asking Xabat about the follow-up.
As for the mastermind behind it, I could guess who it was.
And the names of the people Xabat had just told him about were the same ones he assumed he wanted.
It was indeed Izar.
This woman, from the beginning, had never been on his mind.
At first, because he was kind to Tajo, he didn’t exactly turn his back on him.
The series of events that followed made him feel disgusted by this woman.
He could not bear that she made such an incident the night before their wedding.
Allyce noticed that Xabat was whispering something to Severo and was a little curious: “What did Xabat say to you?”
Severo’s eyes were deep as he looked at her: “Let me enjoy myself tonight and I’ll tell you about it.”
Allyce reacted semi-slowly and blushed.
…
Neto arrived late at the start of the wedding ceremony.
However, Allyce had no more heart to concentrate on Neto and Lucila, as the ceremony was about to begin.
Soon it was time for the bouquet toss.
Allyce looked back first and, noticing that Lucila was a little distracted, called out to her: “Lucila, Catch!
Then he looked at Lucila’s position, turned his back to her, and with great effort threw himself in her direction.
Dropping the bouquet, Allyce turned to see a group of women catching it.
It’s a bit clumsy …
Those who attended the wedding were either company executives or Cloud Cit personalities, and all of them hated the idea of getting married.
However, Lucila’s fighting prowess is no mean feat.
He also struggled to snatch the bouquet and then raised it in his hand towards Allyce.
Allyce took Severo’s arm, smiled at him and silently wished him through the crowd: may he be happy.
Lucila blinked to show that she had read what he had said.
With that, the two men looked at each other again and smiled.
Severo had arranged for the best man and bridesmaid teams to take care of the guests, so naturally they didn’t have to take care of them.
But since it was a happy day, whether for friendship or otherwise, Allyce was willing to believe that all these people had come to wish them well, and so she politely joined Severo in greeting them all.
Then, as she approached a table with only three people seated, Allyce saw Marco and exclaimed in surprise: “Marco is here too?
“We’re friends, after all, and since you’re getting married, of course we should come over for a wedding drink to soak up the joy.” In a rare moment, Marco’s cool, handsome face showed a hint of nonchalance.
Everyone who comes is invited, and Allyce, whose animosity towards Marco had long since subsided, nodded, “Thank you for coming”.
Severo gave Marco an indifferent look with downcast eyes: “It’s all right if you don’t come, you’re the one who’s busy with the big things.
The expression on his face was close to saying “You’d better not come”.
Marco didn’t mind either, knowing that Severo still held a grudge for liking Allyce.
The two men say nothing and, after a few unabashed words, Allyce and Severo move to the next table.
After walking around, Allyce realised that trying to wave at all the tables was simply impossible, there were too many people.
Severo then left all this in Xabat’s hands.
Alonzo was cajoled by Neto, and he and Allyce went to their rooms to rest until the evening, when a few close friends would gather for a private dinner.
Back in her room, Allyce kicked off her shoes and collapsed on the bed.
“Tired?” Severo reached over, grabbed his foot and rubbed it.
Since waking up, Allyce has been going out less and hardly wears heels anymore, and after wearing them most of the day today, she was inevitably a little tired.
She turned around and sat down with a look of excitement on her little face, “She’s not tired, one more time and I’m going to …”.
Severo leaned over and kissed her, biting her lightly on the lips, “What do you say, again?”.
“Nonsense …,” Allyce hastily changed her tone and kissed him roughly.
Severo didn’t eat it, however, and squeezed in and started kissing her.
Allyce nudged him, “Why … is it still daytime …”
“Neto and the others are sure to put on a little show tonight, first I’m going to get some welfare, it’s been months since you’ve been paid, I’m keeping count,” Severo blurted out as he kissed her gently.
Allyce played along with Severo, knowing he was being a scoundrel.
Severo’s benefits are taken very seriously.
He chewed Allyce from head to toe.
Allyce thought of something vaguely and asked: “Why did you take that drugged drink the first time you were in Kimdis?
“Nothing will happen to you if you drink it”.
Allyce sobered up a bit and said with a “grunt”, “So you’re still …”.
Severo justified himself: “It was you who pulled me and didn’t let me go.
“I won’t!” replied Allyce in exasperation, not believing that she would push him away.
Severo laughed softly and kissed her face, caressing it.
Allyce certainly wasn’t going to pull him and not let him go.
It was he who wanted to go, and his own feet did not listen to him.
She was nine years old when he met her, a pretty, well-behaved girl.
At fourteen, he knew nothing about love and affection, he just thought it was a nice feeling to be called brother in the future by this pretty, well-behaved girl.
For a while, I followed her and drove her to and from school.
Unconsciously, he had put himself in his brother’s place, and strangely he had a hidden desire to keep it . . a secret desire to keep it.
In those years after his mother’s death, he thought about finding Allyce again.
However, Allyce did not know him and did not know him at all as a person and, for a time, had misunderstood her father and thought he had killed her mother.
He did not know how he was going to deal with her.
More than ten years have passed since then.
He returned to Cloud Cit just as she was coming home.
Because he was so focused on his career, he had very little contact with women, and other women were just women to him, whereas Allyce was a bit more special.
She almost became his sister.
The beautiful girl who had a similar encounter and a strange connection with him, lay before him like that, raw and tender and seductive.
Then he was bewitched.
Then take a trip of a lifetime.
Those who are destined to spend their lives together, no matter how long they are separated, will eventually meet again to spend the rest of their lives together.
