Chapter 37 Proposal of marriage
Chapter 37 Proposal of marriage
Rachel Stuart is confused by Mrs. Stuart's question, "Huh?"
Mrs. Stuart looks behind Rachel Stuart, “Where is Thomas Grey? The butler told me he has come.”
However, there is no Thomas Grey behind Rachel.
Rachel Stuart is dumb, then says, “Oh...He's still in my room. He says he wants to look at my childhood RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
pictures.”
“So, you...Just looking at pictures in your room all the time?” Mrs. Stuart asks.
Rachel Stuart coughs, “pretty much.”
Mrs. Stuart heaves a sigh of relief, “Rachel, you know you're not married. If anything happened...”
“Mom...as a matter of fact, he and I have already got our marriage certificate.” Then, Rachel Stuart sits
down opposite Mr. Stuart. She looks down and sits quietly.
Mr. Stuart's hand is shivering, “What did you say?”
“Thomas Grey and I have already got the marriage certificate, but I didn't dare to tell you.”
“The day before you brought him back?” Mr. Stuart's voice is cold.
Rachel Stuart nods, “yes.”
“You, how can you be so silly?” Mrs. Stuart is a little anxious, “What if, what if, you come back with him,
your father and I don't agree, you...”
“I don't think so.” Rachel Stuart smiles at Mrs. Stuart. “I don't know him that well, but I know he loves
me and he is a good man.”
“A good man?” Mr. Stuart snorts, “I guess only you would comment Thomas Grey like this.”
Rachel Stuart doesn’t argue. She knows Thomas Grey's reputation, certainly he is no way a good man.
“All right, go up and call him down. It's time for dinner.”
Rachel Stuart goes upstairs immediately to call Thomas Grey down.
Mr. And Mrs. Stuart both sigh when they see Rachel Stuart walking upstairs.
How could they not be worried?
Although the Grey family doesn’t have much disputes, but, it’s still a big family, how could they be
reassured to let their baby girl marry him?
“Well, we're here now, and it will change no matter how much we worry or think.” Mrs. Stuart steps
forward and takes Mr. Stuart's hand, “The only thing we can do now is to make ourselves stronger and
give that girl more backing.”
Otherwise, if her daughter was bullied, all she can do was submit to humiliation. That would be so
suffering.
“I know.”
When Thomas Grey comes down from the upstairs, he says hello to Mr. And Mrs. Stuart respectfully
and politely, without being overweening as the rumor said.
At the dinner table, Thomas Grey briefly talks with Mr. And Mrs. Stuart about the wedding next month,
who he would invite from his family, and he hopes that Mr. And Mrs. Stuart could meet the people of
the Grey family three days later.
Mr. and Mrs. Stuart are stunned, “then…”
“What my family means is that they come here to visit you. They are just afraid that you won't have
time, so they hope I can discuss with you in advance.” Thomas Grey's smile is gentle and polite.
There it is. Even if they are not spare then, they have to make the time available.
“It doesn't matter. We've got plenty of time. We can go there.”
“No, it should be us coming to visit you.” Thomas Grey holds Rachel Stuart's hand. "I can't make her
feel wronged.”
