Her Fae Lovers

Ten

Lola walked down the sidewalk, looking down as she touched her cheeks. Thinking about the kiss that almost happened with Merrow. She didn’t know if she had wanted him to kiss her or not when Lu had interrupted them. His bright eyes studying them intently before he raised a thick eyebrow at the merman.

“Cleaning, aye?” He asked as he stepped into the kitchen breaking up the moment, Lola looked back up at Merrow as he studied her lips before stepping back. His sea-green eyes moving to her eyes as she let out a breath she hadn’t realized she had been holding.

Lola couldn’t help but wonder what he would have done if they hadn’t been interrupted?

“Aye, we are.” Merrow frowned as he looked over at Lu with a scowl.

“I guess I’ll be heading out then,” Lola said stepping away from the handsome man, “If you get bored, you guys can watch some television. I’ve got Netflix.” She said missing their confused gazes as she headed into the living room.

“Are you ready?” Bodach asked as he moved to stand.Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

“Almost, I need to get changed and we can head out.” Lola said, pausing as she walked past Puca. She looked around the messy living room, debating on if she should ask her guests to pick it up when I hand snaked its way up her ankle. She shrieked as she jumped away, “What are you doing?”

“Waking up from a pleasant dream, into an even lovelier realm.” Puca said, his voice gravelly with sleep as he propped himself up onto his elbow, admiring the way the light filtered through the thin cotton of Lola’s sleep shirt. Lola stepped back, almost as if she could escape the heat of his gaze only to back up into Bodach. Her back hitting his chest as he wrapped his arms around her waist.

Lola let out a gasp as the arms around her tightened. She looked from Puca to Bodach, felt sparks dance across her skin as she felt him bury his face in her hair and breathe her in. Heat moved through her body at his soft groan as Puca moved to stand. His shirt was off and she marveled at the way his muscles moved and bunched under his skin as he got closer. Her gaze moved to the fine line of downy hairs below his belly button and she felt her blush spread further. She looked up quickly into Puca’s penetrating golden gaze.

She understood why it was called a happy trail as she bit her lower lip, her hands moving to the Bodach’s arms to try to give herself some distance. It was hard to think as Puca sauntered closer to her, his eyes hungrily devouring her in, like he was a starving man and she was a tasty treat.

“No having.” Lola squeaked out, “You said no laying with me.”

“Aye,” he said with a smirk as he stepped closer, “It’s been a long time and the mornings are always harder.”

Lola felt Bodach run his nose along her neck and she shivered, as his breath made goosebumps form on her skin and her nipples hardened. “It’s always a struggle, in the morning.” His voice tickled across the shell of her ear as his lips grazed her skin, making her jump away from the loose circle of his arms. Putting some distance between herself and the two men.

“Look, I’m not that type of girl.” Lola exclaimed, looking between the two men.

“What type is that?” Puca asked her as he dragged his hands through his hair, as his tongue darted out and he licked his lower lip.

“You know the type that all the guys want.” Lola said looking away, trying to ignore the way her face flushed with embarrassment. Boys hadn’t liked her growing up, yes she had dated. Nothing more serious than that and the attention from these four men had her feeling things she had never felt before. Sure, she had the lustful thoughts just like any normal woman did. Mostly about Erik, but they paled in comparison to how she was feeling right now.

“We are no mere men.” Puca said. His hand moved from his chest to his abdomen and Lola had a moment where she desperately wanted that hand to be hers. She longed to run her hand over the hard plans of his abs, feel his muscles contract under her touch as her fingers traveled lower.

“No,” Lola squeaked out, as she felt desire coil low in the pit of her stomach.

“No?” Puca asked as he bit his lower lip, his eyes promising pleasure that Lola couldn’t even imagine.

“No.” Lola said stepping towards the hallway, she knew if she stayed any longer her no would be changing to a yes.

Shaking her head, Lola tried not to think about what happened this morning. She glanced over at Bodach. His red eyes were covered with a pair of her dark sunglasses with big lenses that made him look almost comical. The sun glinted off of his black hair, catching the deep blues and greens of it. Making her think about a raven’s feathers and how pretty the birds could look. Bodach caught her stare and his lip twitched up into a grin as he tilted the dark glasses down to catch her eye.

Lola looked away, biting her lower lip. “We’re almost there.” She said looking down at the address on her phone. She looked around at the buildings that surrounded them. They were in a residential neighborhood, the homes looked older, Americana with their deep porches and wicker furniture. It was beautiful, Lola couldn’t help but think about all of the history these homes must have seen.

In one hundred feet your destination will be on the left. Lola’s phone rang out in the quiet afternoon and Bodach frowned.

“Tis strange for a map to talk.” Bodach said and Lola couldn’t help but smile.

“I told you already, it’s a cell phone. It’s not only a way to get in touch with people over substantial distances, but it has maps and directions which makes things so much easier.” Lola said smiling up at him.

“Still seems like a spell to me, the future is quiet strange.”

Lola couldn’t help but agree with him, she could only imagine how he and the others must feel. How much they had missed out during their confinement. Everything must seem so different for him.

You have arrived at your destination.

“Would you like to come in with me?” Lola asked as she tucked her cellphone into her bag.

“Nay,” he said, shaking his head as he looked at the chimes beside the door. The thick iron bells clanging in the slight breeze.

“I’ll be quick then.”

“Take your time, I’ll be waiting for you.” Bodach said as he leaned against the porch railing.
