Chapter 110
Chapter 110
"How are you? Are you all right?" Jacob looked at Abigail worriedly and said.
"I'm fine,"
"Really?"
Abigail pointed at the taxi. "I lost my handbag."
Jacob glanced at the taxi behind her, understood, and nodded. He walked over, took out the money
from his wallet, and gave it to the driver.
"No need for change." He said.
The driver nodded and drove away.
Jacob walked up to Abigail and asked, "Are you sure you're okay?"
"Yes." She nodded.
He looked at her clothes. "Do you want to go upstairs and have a talk?"
Abigail nodded, heading to her house.
As soon as they entered the room, she said, "Brother, take a seat."
"Okay."
Jacob came here for the first time. The layout was still neat, elegant, and comfortable.
He walked to the sofa and sat there.
Abigail went to her room, changed her clothes quickly, and came out.
"Jacob, what would you like to drink?" Abigail asked.
"I'm good."
She stopped asking and brought two cups of coffee.
"Jacob, Liam knows who I am." She looked at him and said.
He was not surprised to hear that. "I know. He pulled you away. Did he do anything to you?" He asked.
As she and Liam went away, he kept chasing after them, but there was no trace of Liam.
Liam had so many houses that he couldn't seek them one by one, so he went back to Abigail's and
waited.
Abigail shook her head. "I'm fine. He didn't do anything to me. But how did he know?"
Until now, she had no idea how Liam had found out.
Jacob thought for a moment. "I think it might be because Dad and Mom went over today to see you,
and Liam happened to overhear their conversation."
Abigail was stunned.
No wonder he was fine when he went out with Olive and came back like that.
"Dad and mom went there too?" Abigail asked.
Jacob nodded. "In the past two years, whenever the Jones Group and the Powerline Group hold
activities, they would invite the Swift Group. Usually, it's me on behalf of the Swifts. But I didn't expect
them to be present today." Jacob said.
Hearing this, Abigail was lost in thought.
Since things had already happened, there was no way to change and no use to blame anyone.
Besides, when she saw Liam, she knew that one day he would know. But she didn't expect it to come
so soon.
Abigail sighed. All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.
"It's my fault!" Jacob said in guilt.
Abigail looked at him. "Brother, it's not your fault. You don't have to blame yourself. Besides, since I've
come back, I have to face Liam sooner or later. Now that he knows, it saves me from worry."
"But..."
The only thing she worried about was the Swift Group.
She didn't want to implicate the Swift Group.
Looking at her worried face, Jacob asked, "Are you worried about the Swift Group?"
Looking up at him, she nodded. "I don't know if it will be implicated!"
