Chapter 135
Chapter 135
And the HR manager stood there, looking at Abigail's back as if he had secretly made a decision...
Abigail was relieved when she came out of the personnel department.
For some reason, she felt as if the man meant something else.
She hoped it was just her overthinking. She took her resume and walked away.
At noon, Abigail had just made an appointment to eat with her colleague when the personnel manager
came over.
"Hi, Miss Swift!"
Hearing the voice, Abigail looked up. When she saw him, she was a little stunned, but she smiled
politely.
"Manager Lee, what's the matter?" Abigail looked at him and asked.
He actually looked about thirty years old. He was tall, thin, and very ordinary. Abigail didn't have much
of an impression of him, except today when she got her resume from the personnel department.
"I have something to tell you. Can I treat you to lunch?" The HR manager said. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
Abigail was stunned, not expecting him to say that bluntly.
Jane stood aside and looked at them, unable to help but laugh.
Abigail didn't know, but they all knew that the manager had been caring about Abigail for a long time.
It seemed that he really mustered up the courage to invite Abigail out for lunch today.
Abigail paused for a moment and then said, "I'm sorry, Manager Lee, I've made an appointment with
Jane. We have something to talk about. We can talk about it at the company." Abigail said with a smile,
which meant that she declined him.
Manager Lee stood there and thought, "Forget it. I'll tell you when you're available another day!"
"Okay." Abigail nodded.
"See you." Manager Lee smiled, then turned and walked away.
As soon as he left, Abigail couldn't wait to pull Jane away.
After arriving at the restaurant, Jane couldn't help but laugh. "Abigail, is Manager Lee chasing you?"
Hearing Jane's words, Abigail frowned. "No, you're thinking too much."
"I'm not. It's just that you don't know. He's been paying attention to you since you entered the
company."
"Really?" Abigail asked and pretended to be composed.
Jane nodded and said, "But there are a lot of people in the company who care about you."
Hearing this, Abigail smiled. "You're exaggerating."
"I'm serious. You're so capable and beautiful. A lot of people want to chase you, but I didn't expect that
Manager Lee would say he wanted to talk to you today. Everyone knows his intention." Jane laughed.
Hearing Jane's words, Abigail smiled. "How come I don't know?"
"You're so concentrated on your work that you don't have time to think about it," Jane said.
After Abigail entered the company, all the big cases fell on her shoulders. She could tell that Abigail
was really busy.
Hearing this, Abigail raised her eyebrows.
That was true.
Fortunately, the Ratio Group's contract was finally handed over to Jane.
"But Manager Lee has been married and divorced. I don't know how brave he is to chase you." Jane
suddenly said.
