Chapter 832 A Chance Meeting of Three Women
Chapter 832 A Chance Meeting of Three Women
"She would think I was giving her hope if I wasn't direct. She was sad because of her poor control of
her emotions. Since she was to confess her love, she should be ready to be rejected. She’s not like the
sun that every boy runs around her."
Luke was convincible in his words. NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.
Winnie listened attentively to the conversation between the two children, while Brian kept the corners of
his mouth faintly upturned.
He wasn't involved in the education of his children, but scenes like this made him feel happy.
"You just don't like girls with her personality, you'd like her if she was like Finella."
Megan defiantly debated with Luke, out of the blue she mentioned Finella.
However, Brian did not know Finella.
"Who's Finella, your classmate or senior?"
Brian asked curiously.
"Finella is the daughter of mom's friend, Uncle Poole, who sent us back to the suburbs."
Megan spoke out in a rush, but the words caused Brian's smile to freeze.
It turned out that Finella was Finn’s daughter.
"Do you guys like Finella?"
Winnie asked deliberately.
"Yes, I like Finella a lot. Can we ask her out some other day?"
When it came to Finella, Megan forgot about the topic of arguing with her brother. She was so excited
that she didn't notice the shift in her dad's face.
"Sure, I will talk to Finn about it when I am available. Finella told me that she likes you guys too. She
even asked me to take you guys to her house to play."
Winnie's meaning was obvious that she wanted Brian to know Finn.
She had to find a man, so that Brian would give up on her and Finn was undoubtedly the most suitable
one. He didn't have a career to be taken over by Brian and his position wasn't something that anyone
could easily shake, and he couldn't find a single flaw in his job.
So Brian could do nothing to Finn.
"There is no time for the kids to go out for they have various extracurricular classes and school
assignments. Besides, the kids' safety is most important, you can't go out."
Without waiting for Megan and Luke to answer, Brian refused.
He couldn't give another opportunity for Finn and Winnie. If the kids could live together peacefully,
wouldn't that promote the relationship between Winnie and Finn?
"Finn is the director of the Public Security Bureau, he can guarantee the safety of the kids."
Although Winnie was also worried about the kids' safety, she wanted to infinitely expand the influence
of Finn.
"He can keep one person safe, but he can't keep everyone safe. It's better not to go out."
Brian's excuse was the safety of the kids. No matter what Winnie said, Brian did not agree.
"Dad, Uncle Poole is very nice, or shall we go play at Uncle Poole's house together?"
Megan wanted to play with Finella, but her father did not approve. If she brought him with her, he might
not object.
"Megan, that's not a good advice. Uncle Poole ......"
"That's not a good advice, Dad and Uncle Poole might not get along well."
Winnie objected, and Brian disapproved.
If he was to see Finn and Winnie having a good time, he would not be able to control himself.
He refused to see Finn, and of course, he would do everything he could to stop Winnie to be with Finn.
Therefore, the topic ended fruitlessly.
The next day was Saturday, but Gloria was not in the mood to spend this holiday.
She was at him, but her mind was wandering.
She was like she had been abandoned and felt it was Winnie’s fault, if Winnie did not get involved, she
would not be avoided by Brian.
But now she couldn't take her anger out on Winnie, if Brian knew about it, she would have no chance at
all.
So where was she going to take out her anger? It couldn't be held in her mind.
Penny popped into her mind, if not for Penny, Winnie would not be provocative, so Penny should be
blamed.
Well, then she would take her anger out on Penny.
When she arrived at Penny's house in a rage, she unexpectedly met Wendy in the courtyard of the
villa, which made Gloria hold back her anger.
"Why are you here?"
Gloria asked suspiciously, wondering if Penny and Wendy had some conspiracy.
"I stopped by to see my friend."
Wendy made light of the situation. She wasn't sure why Gloria was here, but she should act more
calmly than Gloria.
"Friend? You're saying Penny is your friend?"
Gloria asked mockingly, she didn't think these two were in a position to be friends. Each must have had
their own agenda or teamed up to try to against someone.
So was their target Gloria or Winnie? She wondered if she should join forces to deal with it.
"Yeah, what is wrong?"
Wendy stuck to her story and her attitude was rather indifferent.
"You are kidding. She's Brian's ex-wife and you're Brian's ex-girlfriend, how can you be friends?"
Gloria snorted disdainfully, she didn't believe what Wendy said.
She must try to hide something.
"Don't you like Brian too? Why came to his ex-wife's?"
Penny opened his mouth either to mock or to be shady.
She knew that Gloria must have come here for a reason, but she did not expect to meet Gloria there.
"There's nothing wrong with liking anyone. There are so many people who like Brian, if they all came,
this villa can’t accommodate them all. You're the smartest to quit early for you know it is impossible for
you to work out."
"Correctly, you were out because of Winnie."
Since she heard Penny's sneer, Gloria naturally would not flinch. The purpose of her coming here was
to vent her anger on Penny.
If it wasn't for Wendy being there, Penny would have been scolded badly.
"I wasn't the only one who got kicked out, you can do nothing about it too."
Penny had been enraged by Gloria's words, but she held back.
"I was kicked out, but I am still alive. You, on the other hand, you have no chance at all. Look at you
now, bony and skinny like a ghost. You can’t even seize the chance if Brian gives it to you."
Penny's words were vicious, but Gloria’s was more vicious. She couldn't believe that Penny was more
sinister than her.
"Gloria, watch your mouth."
The word ‘death’ irritated Penny, and what she feared most now was death.
"I am telling the truth, I don't feel anything wrong. Penny, if it were not you, Brian and I would have
been together. So do you think you'd have a good life if you separated us?"
"You've done so many things that God can't forgive, even if I forgive you, God will punish you."
"Drop death, and there will be one less scourge on earth when you die."
Gloria was vicious, trying to irritate Penny, so that Penny could die earlier. If Penny died, there would
be one less obstacle for her.
"How dare you ......"
Penny was furious and immediately got up. She went up and was to slap in the face of Gloria.
But Penny was in a poor physical condition. As Gloria dodged, she nearly fell to the ground. Luckily,
Wendy caught Penny in time.
"Are you okay? Shall I take you to the hospital?"
Wendy was scared. When she was close to Penny, she could feel Penny was trembling and pCarog for
she was angry.
"I'm fine."
It took a long time before Penny opened her mouth.
Wendy assisted Penny to sit back in the chair.
"Don't be angry, take care of yourself."
Wendy could see that Gloria's hatred for Penny was all rooted in Brian. That meant that if Penny died,
Gloria would be her enemy.
Wendy said nothing, but just kept comforting Penny. Afraid that if she had said something wrong, Gloria
would cause trouble to her.
"Gloria, get out of here, if you provoke me again, I'll tell Brian about your ugly deeds. Even if I die, Brian
won't want a slut like you."
Penny was still threatening Gloria with the same thing, but Gloria didn't even care.
"Whatever, you can tell Brian. I'm separated from Brian now, and I'm afraid of that."
Gloria's disinterest was feigned, or she couldn't have finished venting her anger.
"Penny, I am a slut, but I didn't break the law and I didn't go to jail. I am a slut, but I didn't backstab my
friends or rob their boyfriends."
"But you, what have you done to Winnie? According to my research, you were best friends when you
were in school and your family was poor, if it wasn't for Winnie helped you out at every turn, do you
think you would have finished college?"
Gloria glared at Penny, asking aggressively.
She had learned this after inquiring. It just so happened that Wendy was there, and she wanted Wendy
to know whether her so-called friend was a good man.
"Well, defend yourself, did Winnie help you or not?"
Gloria was still provoking, she really wanted to piss off Penny today.
"Winnie isn't a good person, she didn't have good intentions in helping me."
Penny could not even convince herself in her retort.
"Well, we will see. But what was her intention? Your family was poor and you had a terminally ill
mother, tell me what her intention was? Was your family worthy of her intention?"
Gloria wouldn't believe Penny's words.
