As she walked, the people still gossiped about her. Arriving at her house, the old woman was waiting
for her outside.
"Aunt Pei, what are you doing here?" Sheri asked in confusion.
"I've been waiting for you. I heard that you are leaving the sect. Is it because of Xi Feng or Master sect
that you are leaving?" The old woman probed.
Sheri just smiled and led her first inside her house.
"Aunt Pei, I am sincerely indebted for all the things you've done." Sheri sincerely said and got up. She Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
was about to kowtow, but the old woman stopped her.
"Aunt Pei, please accept my way of gratitude. You have been like a mother to me therefore I am
grateful and blessed to have you. But, it's time for me now to look for my own path. To be able to
experience the world outside, I have to leave the sect. This is what I desired to do." Sheri sincerely
explained.
The old woman started tearing up. She fondly remembered the time she found her in the flowering
bush. She took pity on her and made the decision to take her under her wings. She was delighted to
have someone she can call daughter despite being embarrassed and humiliated by the people around
her. The innocent child whom she lovingly and carefully nurtured, had already grown up. It was painful
for her knowing about her decision to leave, but she completely understood her situation, inside the
sect. Every time Ah Mi was being humiliated, she also felt the pain. Maybe leaving the sect was the
best for her, and she will give her full support.
"Aunt Pei understands." She naturally gave a reassuring smile and gave Sheri a tight embrace. Sheri
and the old woman talked sensibly for a long period of time until they unanimously decided to go on
their separate ways.
Sheri woke up early in the breezy morning and packed a few clothes and things she needed on her
travel. She prepared a bag and put everything in it. Being a second female lead, she was no better
than an ordinary character in the story. The female lead had a special ring where she can put whatever
she needed while she, as a second female lead has nothing. Most of the time, they were even
considered as cannon fodders or a stepping stone to lift up or glorify the progress of the female lead.
"Sheri, fighting!", Sheri sighed at the thought.
She made the last round of all the things she needed to bring making sure that nothing is missing. She
looked around the house one last time then resolutely stepped outside, locking the door and walked
towards the house of the old woman. She kowtowed in front of the old woman's house three times in
silence and walked away. The old woman was awake at that time. She sensed Sheri's presence and
knew her actions, but she didn't appear in front of her.
"Be well my child and may your journey be fruitful." The old woman softly said as tears flowed from her
sad eyes.
According to the rumors, there were many fierce animals lurking outside the sect. Not just these
dangerous animals but even people who were scattered around with evil intentions robbing other
people of their properties and if it comes to worst, their lives. Knowing these instances, Sheri prepared
herself.
She walked through the thick fog leaving their sect. Once she was out of their sect's territory, she saw
the place was very different from where she lived. The place still has lush forests, but the trees were
not so lively compared to her sect. She continued on her way but after a while, she heard a noise.
She looked at a corner and saw an emerging wild boar. The same size as her. It gave her a start. At
first, making her unable to react fast as the fierce wild boar suddenly went forward to attack her. She
gripped on her sword as the wild boar was just seconds away from her when out of nowhere, a figure
flashed and attacked the wild boar. It was injured and scrambled to run away.
The man turned around and walked towards Sheri.
"What are you doing here? Go home." The man ordered.
Sheri looked at the man. He's wearing a bamboo hut on his head and a cloth covering his face. When
he spoke, Sheri recalled a familiar voice from the owner's memory.
"So this is the Master sect huh," Sheri thought to herself.
Sheri looked back at him.
"Yes, Master." She responded and walked but when she knew that she's a bit far from his location, she
walked to the direction opposite of their sect.
For the past two months, Sheri received a lot of criticisms towards her, and it made her sick to the
bones. She already had no strength to fight back or even defend herself. Right now, she didn't want to
deal with the Master sect since it surely was an additional pain in her head. She just lied and walked
on. Sheri also knew that it was what the owner of the body wanted. To be far from him.
It is just that Ah Mi is used in obeying unconditionally to her Master. She never questioned even if the
Master sect asks her to jump a thousand feet deep water, she would still obey.
She found the owner of the body muddle-headed. Pure stupid. She remembered the time she was in
love with Eric. It was exactly the same as the owner of the body. She is somewhat irritated because
she can relate to Ah Mi's stupidity.
Sheri grasped her bag tightly as she thought about it. She would never again become a fool because of
love. She had done her part of giving her heart to someone but in return, it resulted in pain and
suffering.
Sheri was determined that this time, no more.
She makes sure that the master sect doesn't follow her and when she is absolutely sure that she was
not followed she runs fast and moves in the opposite direction. Away from the path of their sect.
As she kept on walking and running, the surrounding gradually started to darken. She opted to climb a
tree and rest on it. Luckily, the trees around were huge and tall. She brought out a swing she made the
time she was still in the sect.
As she got herself comfortable with her resting position, she remembered that this was the time the
female lead would meet the Master sect while battling a level 10 beast. She just shrugged her shoulder
not minding about it anymore. She had a slice of dried meat and some baked bread. She eats them
and went to sleep afterward.
In the middle of the night, she was suddenly woken up by a loud boom sound and followed by an
animal shriek.
Sheri sat on a branch and looked over at the place where the battle was happening. She could see the
female lead targeting the neck of the animal while the Master sect was on standby. She folded her
hands on her chest and watched. The female lead was fast and her ways of manipulating her sword
are one of a kind. She wields her sword while the level 10 animal approached her. She never budged
nor closed her eyes. She was fierce and was able to injure the animal in one swing of her sword.
The animal was more furious and led a deafening cry. He once again positioned himself to attack. The
animal keeps on attacking and trying to injure the female lead but the female lead seems it was a piece
of cake to defend her self against the attacked from the animal.
Sheri who is watching at the side. Wanted to cheer the female lead. She's really good.
The fierce animal keeps on attacking the female lead and when the female lead saw the play has to
stop. She gave a signal to her beast. When the beast appears. Both the female lead and her beast
simultaneously move and strike the fierce animal.
After a minute, the female lead ultimately killed the beast. With the help of her immortal beast, both of
them managed to defeat a level 10 beast.
Sheri found the battle impressive and wanted to clap her hands but she stopped herself. The female
lead was indeed deserved to be called the female lead. Even she herself praises her. When the female
lead got what she wanted from the beast, they walked together going to the opposite side. The
surrounding then became silent. Since there were no more fascinating things to watch, she went back
to sleep satisfied with a good show.
The morning came, the surrounding starts to brighten. Sheri felt something itchy on her nose. She kept
on slapping but didn't go away. With irritation shown on her face, she opened her eyes.
