Chapter 391
Chapter 391
Kingsley looked at the metallic name tag pinned to her chest. It read, 'Julie Lyman, Third Sales Team Manager'. He pointed at the door. "Ms. Lyman, I'd like to take a look at the watch shown on the billboard."
Julie could gauge the price range Courtney could afford judging from the look on her face just now. I don't think he can afford that watch. She said, "It's the latest automatic watch we have, sir. Just released this season. It costs nearly five hundred grand."
Kingsley nodded. "I see. What kind of colors do you have for that watch?"
Julie froze. "Sir, I have some other rec—"
Zeke cut her off sarcastically before she could finish. "Whoa. What are you losers doing in a Patek Philippe shop?"
Catherine almost screeched. "Yeah! You can barely afford rent! This is no place for you, loser! What a joke!"
The customers in the shop turned around and gave Kingsley and Courtney looks of disdain.
Zeke looked at Courtney and gesticulated at Julie. He said imperiously, "I'm buying a watch for my girlfriend! Give me some recommendations!"
Julie noticed that Zeke was poshly dressed, and she went up to him politely. "What would you like, miss?" she asked Catherine. "I have some recommendations if you need it."
Catherine would love to buy all the shiny watches here, but she couldn't. She gulped and put on a haughty look. "I'll just take a look for now. Don't worry. I'll call you if I see anything I like."
Julie smiled. "There are a lot of models in the back, miss. And they're not on display. If—"
Catherine waved her off impatiently. "Alright, enough. Just let me have a look, okay?" Ugh. I really want her recommendations, but Zeke told me I can only get something that costs forty-five hundred or below. She feigned arrogance and refused Julie's offer just in case her recommendation was beyond her budget.
Julie was smart enough to see through Catherine, so she stopped talking and went away.
Catherine was delighted that Julie shut up like an obedient servant. She looked at Courtney smugly. "See, Courtney? Only people like us get to enter this place! Look at me, now look at you! Even the waitress doesn't want to serve you losers!"
I am not a waitress! Julie was annoyed, but she held it back and kept quiet.
Catherine failed to see that, of course. She was still living in her own world, thinking that she owned the place. She said arrogantly, "You'd better open your eyes wide when you look for a boyfriend next time. My boyfriend is rich, and he loves me. He'll buy me anything if I just tell him to." She looked up at Zeke and purred, "Isn't that right, darling?" She sounded disgustingly cute.
"Of course. I'll do anything for my girlfriend." He looked at Courtney and mocked, "Cathy's right. You should get a boyfriend like me, not losers who can't even protect their girlfriend." NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
"You're the best, darling! I love you!" she gushed in that disgustingly cute voice again while rubbing
herself all over Zeke.
Eww. Disgusting. The sight made Courtney scrunch her nose up. "I'm gonna hurl."
"Hmph!" Catherine rolled her eyes. "You're just jealous that my boyfriend is richer than your stupid 'brother'. You're jealous that I can find a good boyfriend, but you can't!"
