I Am Unstoppable

Chapter 473 The Fury Of Theos

Chapter 473 The Fury Of Theos

The snowman spoke in a cold manner. “You should have known that while Norwal City has a strong reputation, it's just a speck of light compared to Supreme Sect. Not to mention Heavenly Questions Pavilion, which is absolutely insignificant in comparison to us. Heavenly Questions Pavilion must know the basics of avoiding misfortunes to survive up until now.”

Jayron said, “You speak the truth, Your Holiness. I am deeply enlightened!”

“Let's head back for now.” After the snowman finished speaking, her figure began to dissipate. Shortly after, only a pile of snow was left.

Jayron was further amazed by the formidability of Theos upon witnessing that.

He exited the black market and walked toward the carriage, joining the group.

“Your Holiness,” he respectfully greeted.

Inside the carriage, Theos instructed coldly, “Let's leave Norwal City.”

“Yes, Your Holiness!” Jayron responded with utmost respect.

The group of people then departed.

From a hidden spot in Norwal City, Norwal was watching them.

A follower complained, “Lord Norwal, these people killed someone in Norwal City. Are we just going to let them go? They have violated the rules of Norwal City!”

Norwal sighed. “Theos visited personally. What rules in the world can possibly stop her? Let her be.”

Soon, Theos and her group left Norwal City.

Jayron came to the front of the carriage and sought guidance from Theos on the next course of action.

All of a sudden, Theos let out a cold snort and said, “Heavenly Questions Pavilion is too insolent! They left such faint elements on the disguising gadget. Even I can only sense its direction vaguely. Furthermore, the element is dissipating and will soon vanish.”

“How audacious of them to behave this way! Your Holiness, please allow me to go and eliminate them,” Jayron responded indignantly.

“Forget it,” Theos said icily. “We have something more important at hand. Heavenly Questions Pavilion and Norwal City have a complicated relationship. If we get involved in a full-blown conflict, it will be a waste of time!”

All Jayron wanted was to show his loyalty. Therefore, he quickly complied. “Yes, Your Holiness.”

“Spread my words! Everyone head southeast. Leave no stone unturned!”

“Yes, Your Holiness!” Jayron replied.

Meanwhile, Jonathan and his group found a place for the night. As usual, they pitched their own tents to rest.

Torrence felt uneasy as he could sense the imminent crisis. “Jonathan, I think Theos and her troops have already arrived. Maybe we should travel through the night?” This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Jonathan replied in a low voice, “If my speculation is correct, they must have captured those few orcs by now. Theos should now realize that she has been tricked. That is to say... She will be furious at this point. Then, she will be so desperate that she'll lead a portion of her troops toward the entrance of Pollerton to set up a magic formation. She will be waiting there in ambush. So, no matter how fast we travel, we would never outpace Theos. The more hurriedly we go, the more likely we will be exposed.”

“What if Heavenly Questions Pavilion didn't actually betray us?” Torrence asked.

Jonathan said, “It doesn't matter if we went to the black market and set up the decoys or not. Theos will eventually find out when we will arrive at Pollerton. If she could not find us in ten days, she will use her last resort—that is to block us at the entrances and exits of Pollerton. However, that is her last resort, which will be extremely time-consuming. She won't do it unless she has no other choice. For now, I'm sure she will speed up and wait for us in Pollerton.” He paused, then continued, “As for her early arrival in Pollerton, it helps us to avoid being caught by The Void Manifestation she has. However, we will eventually come face to face with her.”

Torrence and Yeverie were confused.

The former asked, “It seems to me that the groundwork you laid in Heavenly Questions Pavilion only delayed them for a day. And even without Heavenly Questions Pavilion, it would be difficult for them to find us within just one day. So, what was the purpose of the groundwork in Heavenly Questions Pavilion?”

Jonathan chuckled when he heard that. “Since you asked... Firstly, Theos arriving earlier at Pollerton means our journey to Pollerton will be much safer. I fear Theos the most! Her power, The Void Manifestation, terrifies me.”

Torrence argued, “But we still have to go to Pollerton eventually. In that case, she is still in our way. What should we do then?”

“My second intention is to infuriate Theos completely. She is very intelligent, so she is capable of finding Heavenly Questions Pavilion and extracting our secrets from them. At that moment, she must have felt confident of her victory. Meanwhile, she won't come alone because she would want to maintain a sense of superiority among her lackeys. When she finds out she was deceived by us in front of her lackeys, I bet she would be enraged,” Jonathan explained.

“You're right. Theos has always been a deity-like presence in front of her lackeys. If she's humiliated by you in front of them, given her personality, she will be so mad that she loses rationality,” Torrence agreed. “But I don't see how making Theos angry would help us to enter Pollerton.”

“You've missed one point. That is, Theos will surely go to Pollerton to block us there. This time, she came personally with her troops. It shows she has no intention of giving us a chance to escape. However, we must enter Pollerton. If we don't, with her abilities and her involvement this time, she will eventually get us.”

Torrence paid full attention to Jonathan's words. He knew that Jonathan had his reasons behind his actions.

“So, you have other plans?” Torrence queried.

Jonathan answered, “My plan may not be foolproof, but it stands a chance.” After a short pause, he went on, “Once she becomes livid, she will have deep hatred toward the three of us, and we will leave a lasting image on her mind. At that point, her hatred will be overwhelming. If we kill a few of her lackeys and disguise ourselves as them during her rage, she may not recognize us.”

Torrence's eyes lit up. “That is absolutely brilliant!”

Jonathan said, “However, it's very challenging too. Even though Theos is furious, there's no guarantee that she won't have some clear-minded lackeys to notify her.”

Torrence speculated, “The possibility is quite low. Theos is a supreme presence to all of her lackeys. During her rage, it is unlikely that they would dare to act presumptuously. You see, Theos is leading the hunt this time, and she has failed several times. Now, if one of her lackeys were to offer advice... It doesn't matter if they still fail to catch us, but if they do, won't that imply the lackey is smarter than Theos? Not many would dare to take such a risk.”

“It is still possible, though. Not everyone in this world thinks twice before acting. There are always some smugs who engage in self-destructive behavior,” Jonathan commented.

“But we still have to give it a try,” said Torrence.

With a nod, Jonathan affirmed, “That's right. Whether we live or die, it's all up to fate. I've tried my best. As for the rest, we'll leave it to luck.”

In the darkness of the night, Theos and her troops finally caught up with the group of orcs, who were resting inside their tent.

“Your Holiness, there is a tent over there with lights inside!” Jayron reported joyfully to Theos.

Theos pointed out, “The source is inside those tents. Jonathan thought he could trust Heavenly Questions Pavilion, huh? I will let that cunning little thief know that he is still too naive compared to me.”

Jayron immediately took the chance to suck up to Theos. “Your Holiness, your wisdom is admirable!”

“Do not startle them,” reminded Theos. “That little thief is very crafty. I'll send a primordial spirit with you to catch them.”

“Yes, Your Holiness!”

With that, Theos formed a snowman.

While the snowman led the way, Jayron trailed behind.

Theos was confident of her victory. She never considered the possibility of failing to capture Jonathan and his friends. Therefore, she did not even use The Void Manifestation to inspect prior.

The snowman brought Jayron to the front of the tent.

With a wave, she caused a strong, sudden gust of wind that lifted the tent in a blink of an eye.

The next moment, the scene inside the tent unfolded in full view before the snowman and Jayron.

The orcs were sleeping half-naked. It was a terribly indecent scene that was offensive to the great and holy Theos.

But the orcs were innocent, too.

Furious, Kazon jumped up and roared, “F*ck! Who are you? How dare you lift our tent!”

Having been awakened from the middle of their sweet dreams, the rest of the orcs growled in anger, too.

That was the point when Jayron felt as if the air had frozen.

He could sense a wave of rage he rarely experienced.

On the other hand, the snowman seemed calm.

She merely pointed at the orcs, summoning a blizzard that turned them into ice sculptures instantly.

Then, she clenched her fist and shattered the ice sculptures.

All the orcs perished on the spot.

The snowman then vanished into thin air, leaving Jayron there in shock.

He knew Theos was genuinely provoked; she had never resorted to senseless killing. The fact that she killed the five orcs showed the extent of her anger.

Indeed, Theos was losing her mind from fury. She was the supreme and unrivaled deity, and it was a tremendous humiliation for her to be tricked by a mortal. There was no way any deity had ever faced such profound embarrassment.

“Your Holiness, I beg for forgiveness for my grave sins!” Jayron scrambled to the carriage and dropped to his knees.

All the other lackeys immediately understood what had happened. Clearly, they had been after the wrong group.

Theos remained silent.

After a while, she stated, “Jayron, I order all of you to take your own lives.”

Jayron was stunned, and his face turned ashen. He repeatedly bowed his head and pleaded, “Your Holiness, we will never dare to speak of today's events to anyone! Please, Your Holiness. Spare our lives!”
