I Am Unstoppable

Chapter 477 Making Lord Fekro Submit

Chapter 477 Making Lord Fekro Submit

Growing anxious, Jonathan turned to Torrence. “Hurry up and get those communication spells off of them. Once their bodies turn cold, Theos will know that someone died.”

Torrence hurried over to the Red Cardinal who had died first.

Jonathan hastily tore down the spells attached to the bodies of the Black Cardinal and the other Red Cardinal. Then, in a wave of panic, he stuck the spells onto himself.

Torrence did the same.

Finally, the two breathed a sigh of relief. After that, Jonathan removed the cardinals' clothes and put on their storage rings. As for their dead bodies, he simply used an earth element technique to split the ground open before tossing all their corpses in there and sealing the ground back up.

When done, he met up with Yeverie, set up a tent, and put on the cardinals' clothes. Jonathan wore the Black Cardinal's attire and wielded Quinton's golden trefoil sword, whereas Yeverie and Torrence dressed themselves as the Red Cardinals.

Thankfully, all the cardinals wore robes and hats, so their faces were mostly covered, and the loose robes made it difficult to distinguish one's body size underneath it. No one would be able to tell who they were unless they inspected the group closely.

Inside the tent, Torrence pressed his sharp blade against the White Cardinal's neck.

With a motion of Jonathan's finger, a sphere of water appeared above Fekro's head. Suddenly, the orb burst, causing a pool of cold water to splash onto the latter's face.

Fekro woke up instantly, but a sharp pain came from his neck the moment he tried to move. Turning pale, he glanced around and saw Torrence. “Torrence? It's actually you?”

“Haven't you been looking for me all this while, Lord Fekro? Well, I'm right here in front of you,” Torrence replied with a smirk.

Fekro looked visibly troubled. “What are you planning to do?” he asked after a moment of silence.

At that moment, Jonathan stepped forward. “Lord Fekro, there's one thing you need to understand. No matter what happens from here on, your days of glory are long over. If Theos finds us, I can promise you that you'll be the first one to die. If we manage to escape to Pollerton without getting caught by her, then you'll have to come with us too, because she'd never let you off. That's why your best bet right now is to join us.” Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

Fekro clenched his teeth. “As if! I'll always be faithful to Theos, so just kill me instead.”

“I'm guessing you're afraid of betraying Theos because the other cardinals are dead, and the communication spell on their bodies would send her a message so she'd come over.” Jonathan paused. “Unfortunately for you, it just so happens that we've already stuck the spells on our own bodies.”

Fekro was stunned. “You know about the spells?”

“That's not the only thing I know. Your leader would be nothing compared to me as long as you give me a little more time. She's just a five-element magician, but I'm the entire package.” With that, Jonathan began showcasing his abilities.

He wasn't trying to show off; he just wanted to win Fekro over. It'd be dangerous if the latter were to plot against them secretly.

Jonathan wanted Fekro to see a glimmer of hope amid such a bleak outlook—that following him wasn't a bad decision.

Fekro was dumbfounded after witnessing Jonathan's six-element magic.

“Lord Fekro, I'll give you two choices. Your first option is to follow me. Look at how Torrence is now on my side. If I take over as ruler one day, both of you will be my founding ministers.”

Torrence rolled his eyes. Since when was I on your side? Still, he kept those thoughts to himself.

Jonathan continued, “Your second option is to remain faithful to Theos, but I'll kill you if you do that.”

Fekro wanted to respond.

“I hope you don't give me an answer so soon, Fekro. Instead, you should give it more thought,” Jonathan added. “Think about how many more years you could potentially live. I'm a man of my word; if you choose the second option, I won't hesitate to kill you.” His tone became insidious toward the end.

Fekro fell silent once again before finally answering, “I choose the second option.”

“Very well. I'll grant your wish.” Jonathan turned to Torrence. “Make a cut on Lord Fekro's wrist. Let him experience what it's like to die this way.”

“Understood,” Torrence replied before immediately slitting Fekro's wrist.

Blood trickled out of the wound right away.

“Tear down his communication spell and stick it to your own body,” Jonathan instructed.

Torrence nodded. He had to cooperate with Jonathan with all his might.

Then, Jonathan said to Fekro, “I've looked into this communication spell, and it sure is interesting. It takes only a drop of your blood for this spell to send Theos a signal. The other situation is if the spell no longer detects your body temperature. Well, these are the only two ways the spell works, so I'm not worried about you being able to send a signal using other methods.”

Fekro remained quiet as he watched his blood flow out of his wrist.

“Put your sword away, Torrence,” Jonathan ordered blandly.

“Understood.” Torrence kept his weapon.

Jonathan turned to Fekro with a faint smile. “I've only started training in magic for six days, but believe it or not, you'll still be no match for me. Torrence, Yeverie, and I won't resort to brute force. I'll take care of you using magic.”

A look of rage flashed in Fekro's eyes as he scoffed. “Six days? Who would ever believe that?”

“I can attest to that. It's only been six days since Jonathan began his training in magic,” Torrence chimed in.

Fekro stilled briefly before choosing not to dwell on this subject, for he knew that Torrence never lied.

Then, the former gazed at Jonathan. “I've been training in magic for thirty-six years ever since I was a child, but here you are, claiming that you can beat me after training for just six days. So be it! If you can defeat me, I'll be convinced and join you.”

“I'll let you go if I lose,” Jonathan responded.

“Very well.” Then, Fekro paused. “Can we wait until my bleeding has stopped?”

Jonathan nodded. “Of course.”

Fekro ripped off a part of his robe to wrap his wound. “Actually, let me help you,” Jonathan offered, waving a finger.

Following that, a tiny stream of water began to envelop Fekro's injury, effectively stopping the bleeding.

Fekro was taken aback by the sight. “You've only trained for six days, yet you can already utilize healing water magic to such an extent?”

“Can we begin now?” Jonathan asked calmly in return.

“Yes.”

“Let's head outside. We won't be able to go all out inside here.”

Fekro nodded.

Immediately, the group left the tent. Jonathan and Fekro stood ten meters apart, facing each other.

Fekro made the first move, swiftly unleashing three Divine Fiery Blades at Jonathan. The attack was only to buy him time; he had a more powerful trick up his sleeve.

However, Jonathan was quicker. With a wave of a hand, he encapsulated Fekro in Arctic Frost.

Then, using Furnace, he absorbed the Divine Fiery Blades into his own fire element.

Even though Fekro was a Rank Nine Magician, his fire magic didn't contain much power. Hence, Jonathan had no trouble neutralizing it.

The outcome of this battle was clear.

If Fekro were to truly exhibit his magical prowess, he would surely outmatch Jonathan.

Yet, when it came to martial arts, speed reigned supreme.

While Fekro needed to recite the incantations and create magic seals, Jonathan simply relied on his mind sphere to control his elemental energy, requiring little to no buffer time.

With that, Fekro was instantly trapped in ice.

Jonathan undid his Arctic Frost and gazed at his opponent.

Fekro couldn't help but be surprised. “How can you unleash your magic so quickly?” he asked, walking over.

“Relying on incantations and seals is inferior. I'm directly linked to my elemental energy, which means I can maneuver all the elements as though they were my own body parts. That's why I'm naturally faster than you,” Jonathan explained.

“But how?”

Jonathan merely smirked. “I can do that, but you can't. It's because I'm a genius.”

Those words sounded ridiculous coming out of his mouth, but they were the truth. The phrase “practice makes perfect” applied to the use of magic, and Jonathan could utilize his elemental energy directly and adeptly. He could also cast his magic with just a thought.

Meanwhile, Fekro and the others could only rely on chants to connect with their elements.

This was a matter of talent.

For example, Lynn didn't have to recite any spells either.

“I hope you keep your word, Fekro,” stated Torrence.

Fekro took a deep breath and nodded. “I'm loyal to only you from now on, Mr. Lawson.”

“Welcome aboard. I believe this present moment will be a significant event in Moranta's history books.” Jonathan smiled before pausing momentarily. “But before you join us, I must remind you that you'll have to start from the bottom. Radford wasn't built in a day, after all, and neither is trust.”

Torrence and Fekro were both puzzled. What the hell is Radford?

Despite that, they kept their confusion to themselves, for they still somewhat understood what Jonathan meant.

“I'm going to have to imprint some of my spiritual element inside your cerebral domain, Mr. Fekro,” Jonathan continued. “This special mark won't affect you in any way, but the moment you harbor a single thought about betraying me, the mark will blow your brain into bits.”
