Chapter 532 The Difficulty Of Lynn
Chapter 532 The Difficulty Of Lynn
Stanley could not withstand Jonathan's Cosmic Convergence, even though he had all kinds of tactics. At this moment, under the illumination of the Goldencore, his body rapidly transformed into a pool of transparent liquid.
“Trying to escape?” Jonathan immediately saw through Stanley's tactics. He swiftly suppressed it with his Goldencore.
The transparent liquid seeped into the mountain wall behind in an instant.
His Goldencore flew straight ahead and blasted the cliff wall into dust. The cut was so clean that it seemed like a sharp blade was cutting through jelly. It was overwhelmingly powerful and not encountering the slightest resistance!
Mabel and the others felt fear creeping into their hearts at the sight of such power.
This is beyond terrifying! In terms of modern technology, it would take the power of a missile launch to bore through a mountain like this! But even that couldn't slice through the mountain with such precision! Even lasers would find it somewhat challenging when confronted with the rocky surfaces of mountains. Yet, these all amounted to meaningless resistance as the Goldencore cut through it.
However, at this moment, the mountain began to shake. Parts of the mountain wall started to collapse due to the explosive force of Jonathan's Goldencore.
Numerous shattered rocks came crashing down, and the people below immediately scattered.
“No!” A chill ran down Jonathan's spine. The golden light of the Goldencore is too intense. If it were to
destroy the entire mountain, it could cause a massive collapse or even trigger an earthquake! Forget it. Let's just run away. After all, I'm leaving Moranta anyway.
At that thought, he pulled his Goldencore back into his cerebral domain.
Immediately after, his feet landed on the ground.
“Beatrix, Mabel!” Jonathan was happy to see the two.
When Mabel and Beatrix saw him at that instant, a whirlwind of emotions surged within them.
“You...” Beatrix could not help but chastise, “What's going on with you? Stanley is tremendously powerful, yet you've beaten him to a pulp as soon as you arrived. So even the Divine Emperor is no match for you now?”
Jonathan was extremely humble in his response, saying, “I dare not compare myself to the Divine Emperor. This place has its own uniqueness. After leaving here, I am nothing!” After a pause, he added, “However, it won't be wise to stay here any longer, so let's leave this place first.”
With a wave of his hand, he summoned the void portal.
“Let's take these companions out as well,” Mabel said to Jonathan.
After all, we've been with these people for so long, so we might as well save them if we can.
At that thought, Jonathan nodded. And so, everyone entered the dimensional portal one after another.
By the time they came out, they were already atop that cliff.
The scenery on the cliff was breathtakingly beautiful. Looking ahead, there was a vast expanse of lush green forests and steep mountain peaks.
Meanwhile, Jonathan allowed Mabel, Beatrix, and Walrion to enter the storage ring.
Let them find out everything from Yeverie.
At this moment, he still needed to meet with Narma, having promised to go to see him one more time after saving the others.
The void portal opened once again!
Not long after, Jonathan appeared above Brightspring Island. After crossing the boundary, he headed straight to Progenitor Cave to meet Narma.
“I didn't kill Stanley, Master. I don't know what kind of magic he used, but he entered the cliff and escaped,” Jonathan said to the old mage frankly as soon as he got there.
The cavern was brightly lit, with Narma sitting cross-legged, still exuding a sense of tranquility. Soon after, he smiled and inquired, “I presume all your companions have been rescued?”
“That's right. It's all thanks to your guidance, Master Narma,” Jonathan replied.
“I simply acted according to the situation,” Narma said, still smiling. “Even if I hadn't told you, you could
have taken the Heavenly Compass from me and figured out where they were on your own.”
“But that's not the same. If I deciphered the Heavenly Compass myself, I might have missed the last chance to save them!” Jonathan argued.
Narma responded, “Having lived for so long, the clearest truth I've come to understand is these four words: 'Go with the flow.' Therefore, it's impossible for me not to lend you a hand.”
“Master Narma, since my wish has been fulfilled, and there's nothing here I regret leaving behind, I'm going to take my leave. Is there anything else you wish to tell me?” asked Jonathan.
Narma flashed him a faint smile. “I'm afraid you can't leave just yet.” Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.
Jonathan's expression shifted slightly. “Why do you say so, Master Narma?” he asked.
The old mage explained, “Don't get me wrong, young man. I have no intention of making things difficult for you, nor could I even if I wanted to. It's just that right now, Theos Lynn may be having some issues.”
“Could it be Roland?” Jonathan exclaimed in surprise.
“That's right. Lynn did not heed your advice to destroy the Netherworld Map. Moreover, the map isn't so easily destroyed. Now, Roland has devoured the Netherworld Map and turned into a cruel dark magician. He has officially succumbed to dark magic and seized Lynn's Holy Scripture, devouring it as well. His current cultivation has surpassed his cultivation during ancient times. Even if Stanley is in his best state and wielding the Astro Scepter, he will be no match for Roland!”
Jonathan's expression turned gloomy.
Then, he said, “These matters have nothing to do with me anymore. They are Moranta's own karma!”
“No, no, no!” Narma exclaimed, “You play a crucial role in it, young man, and you're also the cause. If you leave now, I'm afraid things won't end well for Moon Shadow Palace!”
“Umm...” Jonathan frowned. He knew that Roland was a petty and vindictive person, so since he had ruined his plans and the latter was now gaining power, he would surely take out his anger on Moon Shadow Palace if he could not find Jonathan.
So, I really can't just walk away!
Narma then asked, “Do you know why you came to Moranta, young man?”
“Why?” Jonathan asked. He knew Narma must have something to say, so he might as well ask directly.
“You are the Chosen One, and Moranta is facing its greatest crisis!” was Narma's response.
“I would appreciate it if you could elaborate, Master Narma,” Jonathan said.
Narma explained, “The existence of Moranta has its purpose. In the grand scheme of the world, it has its mission and is an indispensable part. If Moranta were to collapse, it would affect many other spaces, eventually impacting the main world, which is extremely terrifying.”
As Jonathan fell into deep thought, the old mage continued, “Wherever there are humans, it will always be full of variables, sometimes even beyond the control of the Heavens!”
After a pause, he explained, “The magic in Moranta was too powerful in the past, so under the influence of the Heavens, the Divine War ensued. After the war, the entire Moranta achieved a rare peace. However, during the Divine War, Stanley and Roland, these two super-fighters, survived through some exceptional means. They are the demonic tribulation of the entire Moranta. Originally, if you hadn't arrived, Roland wouldn't have revived so quickly. However, Stanley has been plotting. He will, at this moment today, officially condense his physical body. Then, he will go to Pollerton Tomb to obtain the Astro Scepter. Finally, he will revive Roland and make Roland his subordinate. Next, Stanley will disrupt the Spatial Law of Moranta. He will then acquire the Devouring Spell from Roland before devouring the elemental energy of the entire Moranta. When Moranta loses its elemental energy, that will also be the time of its collapse!”
Narma continued gravely, “Stanley has already understood the connection between the Lost Continent, the main world, and many small thousand worlds. He wants to transcend through this method and gain eternal power. He doesn't care about the fate of Moranta, nor does he care about the impact on the entire world system after the collapse of Moranta! It is under such a crisis, young man, that you, the Chosen One, have arrived here through some divine guidance! I'm sure even the person who guided you did not expect such a causal relationship. Young man, all you need to know is that the threads of destiny are intricately linked, and this is beyond our common comprehension.”
Jonathan could not help but smile wryly. “So, am I really about to save the world?”
“That's right!” Narma replied with a solemn expression that did not suggest he was joking.
Jonathan took a deep breath before replying, “In that case, I will go to Paradiso right now.” After a pause, he added, “Would you like to go with me, Master Narma?”
Narma shook his head, saying, “I won't go.”
Though slightly taken aback, Jonathan smiled soon after and said, “I understand. You prefer to go with the flow, Master Narma.”
Narma flashed him a faint smile. “Your destiny is in your hands, not mine. If you go, you may survive amidst danger, but if I go, I will die!”
Without delay, Jonathan announced, “I will take my leave now.”
“You must reach the Paradiso within two hours. Otherwise, Roland will disappear,” Narma said. “Once you've saved Lynn, you must return to Moon Shadow Palace because there's no way you can kill Roland in this battle, and you can't find him either. If you stay in Moon Shadow Palace, Roland will come to you on his own.”
After sending Narma a meaningful glance, Jonathan turned around and left.
The capital of Paradiso was the bustling economic hub of the entire nation.
Though it was late at night, a bright moon hung high in the sky, and the capital was brilliantly lit.
In the world of magic, the flames of the night were exceptionally brilliant.
The brightness of a city was a testament to its prosperity.
Jonathan easily found the Holy Church of the Supreme Sect. He employed The Void Manifestation with his spiritual sense from his position high in the sky.
The auras of the Holy Church and the royal palace in the capital city were the most intense.
At this very moment, within the Holy Church, the believers and elders had no idea what was happening inside.
All they knew was Lynn was cultivating in seclusion within the church, and no one was allowed to disturb her.
A serene darkness prevailed within the church.
At this moment, Lynn was in the most wretched state, no longer looking cold and noble. Blood was oozing from the corner of her mouth. Roland had secured her to a pillar with a Bone Dragon spike. Any slight movement would cause unbearable pain.
As for Roland, he currently looked absolutely hideous.
Having devoured the Netherworld Map, his face had turned into a black skull, and an indescribable stench emanated from his body.
He was dressed in a black robe...
