Chapter 1015: Are You in a Hurry or Is Your Wife in a Hurry?
When Yanis heard Zane's words, she wasn't very surprised. Because at the hospital, after hearing what
Reed said, she had already guessed the situation.
But since Reed didn't speak about it, Yanis didn't want to bring it up either.
"What did he tell you?" Yanis looked at Zane and asked.
"Someone sabotaged one of Allan's projects, and he got injured. He didn't dare to come to see Reed,
fearing it might upset her," Zane explained while driving.
Yanis asked again, "So Allan knows about Reed's pregnancy?"
Zane nodded in response.
Yanis then told Zane about what she heard from Reed at the hospital.
After hearing her, Yanis thought for a moment and then asked, "Is Mitch working overtime at the
company today?"
Zane pondered for a moment, "I don't think so."
After Zane's reply, Yanis picked up her phone and sent a message to Mitch.
Shortly after she sent the message, Mitch called her.
"Yanis?" Mitch greeted her first and then asked, "Reed said you and Mr. Lawrence dropped her off.
Why didn't you come in?"
"It was too late, and I didn't want to disturb Mia and the others' rest, so I didn't come in," Yanis replied.
After a moment of hesitation, she added softly, "Reed might not be feeling well today. Just keep an eye
on her."
Yanis didn't intend to tell Mitch about Reed's pregnancy. She believed it would be better for Reed to
share the news herself.
After the call, Yanis felt exhausted and leaned back in her seat without saying a word.
The car soon arrived at D-king Castle. As the car stopped, Zane was about to talk to Yanis but found
that she had fallen asleep.
Looking at Yanis' sleeping face, Zane drifted off for a moment.
After hearing Allan say that Reed was pregnant, Zane couldn't help but feel a complicated mix of
emotions. His first thought was of Yanis.
In this short period, it was Sandy first, and now Reed. Yet, there were no signs from Yanis.
Though Yanis was not very talkative, every time they were intimate, her eyes were always filled with
anticipation.
Thinking of this, Zane's eyes were full of tenderness and heartache as he gazed at Yanis.
They sat in the car like that for a while until Zane finally got out of the car, carrying Yanis directly in his
arms.
When Yanis was lifted from the car by Zane, she opened her eyes slightly and looked at Zane, then
found a comfortable position in his arms and closed her eyes again.
Zane carried her to the bedroom, and as he was about to place her on the bed, Yanis opened her eyes
again and murmured, "Zane."
"Yeah?" Zane responded, gazing at her, waiting for her to speak.
But Yanis didn't say anything.
The two of them gazed at each other for a few seconds until Zane broke the silence, "Do you have
something to say?"
Yanis gently shook her head and said, "No, go wash up."
Zane looked at her, then leaned in and kissed her.
Yanis didn't avoid the kiss; she even responded to it.
Zane's kiss was gentle and passionate. They intertwined until Yanis was a little breathless, and he
finally let her go. His voice sounded low and husky, "I'm going to wash up."
Yanis nodded in agreement, "Okay."
Zane got up and went to the bathroom.
After the sound of water from the bathroom, Yanis' thoughts drifted away for a moment but returned
when she heard the water stop.
She got up from the bed and entered the bathroom.
That night, the stars shone brightly, and Yanis responded like never before. Afterward, she lay quietly in
Zane's arms, just like usual. Soon, she fell asleep.
When Zane heard her even breathing, he finally felt relieved. He knew why Yanis was acting this way
tonight.All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
The next morning, Zane inquired about specialists from various hospitals in Manches City for Reed's
condition.
Zane's college schoolmate, Stanford Silas, helped him find the information. They weren't exactly
classmates but attended the same university.
"Zane, my teacher says this condition is a bit complicated. She needs to start with some adjustments,
considering the impact of the two previous miscarriages on her body," Stanford said truthfully on the
phone.
Upon hearing Stanford's words, Zane furrowed his eyebrows. "Isn't there a more effective treatment?"
Stanford hesitated for a moment, then asked in a low voice, "Zane, are you in a hurry, or is your wife in
a hurry?"
Thinking about Yanis' reaction last night, Zane replied, "I'm in a hurry."
Stanford chuckled, "This is not something you should rush. It's all about fate. I've told my teacher about
your situation, and she suggests a slow and steady approach, considering the significant impact on her
body. It will take some time for her to recover."
"Alright, I understand," Zane replied in a low voice.
Stanford said, "If you have any questions, feel free to ask me."
"Yeah, I'll treat you to a meal sometime," Zane said.
Stanford agreed, and as he was about to hang up, he mentioned, "By the way, have you been in
contact with Robin recently?"
"We haven't been in contact recently," Zane replied.
"No worries, I was just checking. Someone asked me to get his contact information."
"I'll send you his updated contact information later," Zane said.
"Great, send it to me when you have time," Stanford said before ending the call.
After the call, Zane gave Stanford Robin's contact information.
When Zane returned to the bedroom after all these tasks, Yanis was still asleep.
Thinking that Yanis had a client to meet today, Zane approached her and softly called, "Yanis?"
Yanis wasn't sleeping deeply, and she woke up at Zane's second call. Still, she kept her eyes closed
and didn't want to get up.
Zane reached out and pulled her up from the quilt. "Didn't you say you have a client to meet today?"
Upon hearing Zane's words, Yanis finally opened her eyes and asked, "What time is it?"
"Seven o'clock."
As she heard the time, Yanis quickly sat up but almost stumbled when she put her feet on the ground.
Luckily, Zane acted fast and caught her, saying, "Take it easy."
