Chapter 127 Based on What?
Yanis went to open the door.
Ivan was carrying a lot of things. Seeing Yanis, he smiled, "I thought you were not here..."
Before finishing speaking, Ivan paused. He noticed Yanis's hand and frowned. "What's happened to
your hand?"
Yanis calmly glanced at her bandaged hand, and said with a smile, "I was trying to cook with Bonnie,
but I accidentally cut my hand. It is fine."
"Bonnie dressed your wound? Can she? Is it serious? This doesn't look right. Shall I do it for you
again?"
Yanis shook her head, "It's okay. She did it in a little exaggerated way."
Ivan put the things on the table, and turned to Yanis, "Are you sure you are all right?"
Yanis said, "Yes."
Saying that Yanis changed the subject, "What did you bring? We didn't have dinner. We are getting This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
hungry. "
Ivan opened the food box, "I asked them to make it fresh, and I'll come over right away. Have a try."
Yanis was hungry, so she took the fork and started eating.
After answering the phone, Bonnie came over. Seeing the delicious food on the table, she was excited.
She immediately took the fork.
"If I had known, I wouldn't have gone to the Lawrence's Mansion and come back with an empty
stomach."
Bonnie confided before Yanis could stop her.
"The Lawrence's Mansion?"
"Yea. The scumbag's sister is back tonight. The little girl is pretty nice. We went over for dinner. Who
knows that Neve was there, I..."
"Bonnie, isn't this your favorite food? Try it."
Yanis stuffed the food into Bonnie's mouth.
Ivan's eyes moved from Bonnie's face to Yanis'.
Yanis met Ivan's gaze and smiled, "It's nothing."
After Bonnie swallowed the food, she continued, "You almost lost your hand. And you said it's
nothing?"
Yanis was speechless.
Ivan stared at Yanis for a few seconds, and said in a low voice, "Eat, it will get cold later."
Yanis pursed her lower lip and hummed softly.
Yanis was hungry, but because of the topic just now, she didn't eat much.
Her mood was easily affected.
Bonnie had a lot of phone calls tonight. Travis called when she was eating.
Bonnie knew why Travis was calling. So, she went inside to answer the call.
Ivan and Yanis were left outside.
"Why do you eat so little?" Ivan moved the food closer to Yanis, "Eat more?"
Seeing what Ivan moved in front of her, Yanis hesitated for a while and then tried some more.
"Did you go to the Lawrence's Mansion?"
Yanis said, "His sister came back, so we went there for dinner."
"Phoebe?"
Yanis shook her head, "His younger sister."
Ivan raised his eyebrows in confusion, "Sister? His father's illegitimate child?"
Yanis laughed lowly when she heard Ivan's words, "No, his biological sister. She had been living with
someone else due to her physical condition. They brought her home today."
"I never heard that he had a younger sister."
"I didn't know either."
Ivan's gaze fell on Yanis' hand again, "How did you get this?"
Yanis calmly explained what happened. "Maybe she was just worried about Miss Bennett and she
didn't do it on purpose. I am to be blamed too. I didn't stand still. I accidentally hurt my hand."
Ivan sneered, "You know how to make excuses for others."
Yanis smiled, "Okay, it's nothing serious. It's my left hand, so it doesn't affect anything."
Ivan wanted to say something, but seeing the smile on Yanis' face, he decided not to say it. "Okay,
aren't you hungry? Eat more."
Yanis chatted with Ivan a little bit about design while eating.
"Mr. Walsh gave me the theme of the second round. The deadline is in one week. I don't have any
ideas these two days."
"I don't have anything to do these two days. Maybe I can help?" Ivan looked at Yanis.
Yanis put down her fork and looked at Ivan, "Is everything in the company settled?"
"I've thought about it before I came back. So, it was easy. Things are basically done now."
Yanis nodded, "If you have nothing to do, let's go to the University of Armstrong tomorrow. After all, the
university is the best place for things like first love."
Ivan responded, "No problem, I will pick you up tomorrow morning."
They were so focused on chatting that they didn't notice the people standing at the door at all.
Anika looked at the person sitting next to Yanis, then turned to look at Zane, "Zane, aren't you going
in?"
Zane's expression was not very good. After hearing Anika's words, he withdrew his gaze, "Anika, we'll
come another day. Let's go back now."
He racked his brains for a proper reason to come here.
Yet what he saw was beyond his anticipation.
He wanted to go in and question Yanis.
But he was in no position to do so.
Anika looked at Zane who had turned and left, and glanced at the two people talking and laughing
inside, then turned around and followed Zane. "Zane, are you okay?"
Zane said, "I am fine."
Anika followed Zane. "Do you trust Yanis?"
If it was before, Zane would have trusted her. But now he had no confidence.
He wanted to trust Yanis.
But Yanis was stepping away from him...
"Zane, if you think..."
"Anika, can you be quiet for a while?"
Anika looked at Zane's lonely expression and hummed softly.
Myles parked the car at the entrance of the studio, got out of the car, and walked inside. Because he
walked too fast, he passed Anika and Zane.
Entering the studio, he saw the two people sitting there and the things on the table. "Are you kidding
me?" Myles raised his eyebrows.
As he spoke, Myles shook the ingredients in his hand.
Yanis looked at the things in Myles' hands and chuckled, "Bonnie is inside, go talk to her."
"Okay, you guys have fun. Don't come in if you hear anything, I have to teach her a lesson!"
Yanis responded, "We promised we won't go in!"
"What's going on between them?" Ivan looked at Myles' back and asked Yanis in a low voice.
Yanis smiled, "They grow up together. They have been engaged since they were little. So, take a wild
guess."
Hearing what Yanis said, Ivan also smiled, "Bonnie said that she has nothing to do with Mr. Hughes."
"That's Bonnie. She never admits her feelings. Fortunately, Myles is patient and good-tempered.
Otherwise, Bonnie would have scared him away."
"Nice. Mr. Cooke can feel at ease now."
Yanis nodded, "Mr. Cooke worries about Bonnie very much. With Myles around, he must be at ease."
