Chapter 991: I'm Sorry, I Was Wrong, Please Forgive Me

Hearing Antonio's words, Yanis looked at him in shock. "Did you often come to our school gate to find

me?"

Antonio nodded.

"What... What did you come to find me for?" Yanis asked, but Antonio changed the subject. "Don't you

have anything you want to eat?"

Yanis glanced at the shops on both sides and replied, "Let's have what you usually eat." Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

Antonio agreed and led Yanis into a beef dumpling shop. "Antonio is here again, and it's the usual

order?" the shop owner asked.

Antonio nodded and said, "Two servings, but no cilantro in one of them."

Observing Antonio's actions, Yanis couldn't help but smile. He seemed different from the Antonio she

knew before.

But at the same time, he still carried the remnants of the Antonio who was pampered by Olivia and

Martin, not fully forming his own identity.

"Have a seat. The food in this shop is really good," Antonio said.

Yanis agreed and was about to sit down when Antonio stopped her. "Wait."

Yanis froze and looked at him. "What's wrong?"

Antonio walked over and wiped the chair with a tissue before gesturing for Yanis to sit. "There you go,

sit down."

Seeing Antonio's actions, Yanis chuckled. "I don't have OCD."

"It's good to be clean," Antonio said, taking a seat across from Yanis. He seemed to mutter to himself,

"It wouldn't be good if there were any stains."

"What?" Yanis asked.

Antonio glanced at her and shook his head. "Nothing."

Yanis stared at Antonio, who was sitting in front of her. After a while, she suddenly realized that the

current Antonio was indeed different from the past.

Not only had his behavior changed, but even his appearance was different. His dyed hair was gone,

and his hair was cut short. Even his clothes looked more proper.

Since Yanis saw Antonio briefly after he came out of rehab, almost a month had passed without seeing

him again.

The Antonio she had seen then looked tired, and he seemed to have lost weight. But the Antonio sitting

in front of her now had a youthful vibe. He no longer spoke to her rudely, nor did he come across as

arrogant.

Perhaps the recent events had influenced him significantly, leading to such a significant change.

While Yanis was lost in thought, Antonio's voice suddenly sounded again. "Actually, I always wanted to

take you to eat the food I like. But... you never noticed me before."

Antonio's voice was soft, almost to the point where Yanis might not have heard it if they weren't sitting

close to each other.

In Yanis's memory, she had wanted to get close to this younger brother of hers, even though Olivia and

Martin favored him.

She thought that, regardless of what the adults thought, her relationship with her younger brother had

nothing to do with them. However, Antonio's resistance and his spoiled behavior only made Yanis

unable to like him.

But she had never thought that Antonio had such thoughts.

After a brief moment of silence and shock, Yanis said softly, "I thought you didn't like me."

Antonio smiled lightly after hearing her words. "It's not that I didn't like you. I just... I felt that if I didn't

act like that, Mom and Dad wouldn't see me. So, I acted obedient and tried to please them in front of

them. I even deliberately made you angry in front of them, so they would think you were unreasonable

and pay all their attention to me."

Yanis didn't interrupt Antonio and quietly listened to him talking about the past.

In the end, Antonio just wanted Olivia and Martin to favor him over Yanis. And he had succeeded in

doing so.

Not to mention Olivia, even Martin used to treat Yanis quite well. However, at some point, his eyes only

saw Antonio, and he couldn't see Yanis anymore.

So much so that later on, it seemed like the Thompson family only had one child – Antonio.

And then, when she insisted on marrying Zane and cut off ties with them, their relationship had reached

a point of no return.

Olivia and Martin had become people she had never known.

Greedy, selfish, and obsessed with wealth.

Thinking about the events that had happened over the years and looking at the polite teenager sitting in

front of her now, Yanis felt that one's life might be complete after experiencing the dangers and

injustices of the world.

Initially, when Yanis started hearing Antonio talk about the past, she was a bit annoyed. However, as

she listened to the end, she felt like laughing.

Such childish behavior, such reckless scheming, and yet he ended up with nothing.

After Antonio finished saying what he wanted to say, he suddenly stood up and bowed respectfully to

Yanis. "I'm sorry, I was wrong, please forgive me."

Antonio's action startled Yanis, and she quickly stood up as well, reaching out to support him. "What

are you doing?"

Antonio bent his waist and repeated what he had just said. "I'm sorry, I was wrong, please forgive me."

Yanis looked around and noticed people staring at them. She hurriedly said, "Get up first, otherwise, I

won't forgive you, and I'll leave right now."

Upon hearing Yanis's words, Antonio quickly straightened up and grabbed her hand. "Don't leave. I'll

get up now."

Yanis looked at Antonio and said softly, "Sit down and let's talk properly. Don't do these unnecessary

things."

Antonio nodded and said, "Sis, you sit first."

Hearing Antonio call her "sis," Yanis was moved. He had never

addressed her like this before, not even once.

Now that she heard it, Yanis smiled. "Sit down and talk."

Antonio agreed and sat back down. During this time, the owner served the food. "Antonio, come on, eat

while it's hot."
