Chapter 953 Love Will Not Change (Part One)
Greg and Violet arrived at the Xiao family's house. When they entered the living room, they saw that
Fred had already gone to sleep. Greg held Violet's hand, and they too retired to their bedroom.
Pensively, Violet sat on the edge of the bed, her thoughts in a turmoil. She felt that something was
wrong but she couldn't tell what that could be.
Greg took a shower and got out of the bathroom. He dried his hair with a towel while looking towards
his wife. Taking notice that Violet was preoccupied, he sidled up to her and took a seat beside her.
"What's up, sweetheart?" he asked softly.
"I am thinking about something," Violet replied, still staring blankly ahead. She still seemed to be deep
in some thoughts.
"What is it?" Greg asked with concern.
Violet gained normalcy. Resting her eyes on her husband, she asked him seriously, "Is my brother in
love with someone?"
Greg's expression changed when he heard this. Apart from Violet, Alice, Tim, Mike and he himself all
knew that Aria was Lawrence's girlfriend. 'If I tell Violet that Lawrence has fallen in love with Aria, she
might tell her parents about it. That way, things may become more complicated, ' he contemplated.
Detecting the hesitant look on his face, Violet had a slight doubt that he was also hiding something
from her. She asked him sharply, "Is there something you are keeping to yourself?"
At the moment, Greg felt he had got himself into an awkward situation. He was at a loss of words and
didn't know what to do or say. 'We are a couple. We should share everything with each other. But this
concerns Lawrence's happiness. I can't tell her as of now, ' he hesitated. In his mind a conflict of
thoughts was happening, and he did not know who to support.
"Violet," Greg finally opened his mouth. Resting his hand on his wife's shoulder, he asked her earnestly,
"You want to see your brother happy, don't you?"
"I do. He is my brother," Violet replied without thinking even once. She could not believe that her
brother was in love and she did not know about it.
"Can you promise to keep the secret I will tell you from your parents? If they get to know about it,
Lawrence might land in great trouble, "Greg negotiated.
"Tell me first. If it is for Lawrence's good, I might not tell them," Violet replied.
"In fact, Lawrence is in a relationship with a girl named Aria Liu. She is an innocent and independent
girl but she is from a poor family. Therefore, she works hard to support herself. Even though she
doesn't live in luxury, she is optimistic and satisfied with her life," Greg narrated the impression that Aria
had left on him. He paused for a moment, and continued, "But you know Lawrence isn't any normal
guy. He is your parents' only son. As the CEO of the JC Group, he controls the economy of the whole
city. In the eyes of others, he is an unreachable person. They expect him to marry a well-bred, wealthy
lady with a powerful background instead of a common girl like Aria."
Violet understood Greg's concern. Frowning, she echoed, "It's true. My parents want a good match for
Lawrence. My mother loves him so much that she wouldn't allow him to marry just any girl who does
not match up to their status. I think she should at least be from the high profile families if nothing else."
"So I, Alice, Tim and Mike didn't dare to let you know about her because we don't know Lawrence's
plan. What if Dad and Mom force him to marry someone else once they learn about his affection for
Aria? Things will go out of control," Greg continued. Gazing into Violet's eyes, he asked, "You will not
tell Dad and Mom, will you?"
Nodding, she agreed, "I will keep it hidden from them for now. I am going to have a talk with Lawrence
first. If he really likes that girl, we can think of an idea to get Dad and Mom accept to that girl. I can only
hope that my brother could be happy. That's all I want. Now his happiness is what I crave for."
Violet met Greg's gaze as she continued, "My brother loves me very much, and so do I. So I wish to
see him happy. He seems to lead a life that everyone admires, but the truth is that he has to deal with
many issues that no one has any idea about."
"I know. We all hope that Lawrence could get his happiness," Greg returned.
"We should all live a full life. I hope that all of our friends too can lead happy lives," Violet blurted her
thoughts.
"Of course we will," Greg followed.

living room, she received a call from Mond.
"Hello, Mond," Cherry answered with a smile, as she quickly picked up the phone.
"When are you coming over, Cherry?" Mond asked eagerly, as he was impatient to meet both Jackson
and Cherry.
"Didn't we agree to have lunch in your house? We'll set off after 10:00. It's too early now," Cherry
replied. She initially planned to turn on the TV and watch the morning news.
"Come on, Cherry. You can come here now. Derek's and Wilson's families will also be here, "Mond
urged. 'Will she get mad at me for I invited them without informing her?' he wondered, feeling a little
tensed.
"You have invited them?" Cherry asked, looking a bit surprised.
"Yes, I did. The more, the merrier. I have already asked my maid to prepare for lunch accordingly. Hurry
up. We all will have a good time," Mond exclaimed gladly.
"Okay. See you later," Cherry agreed.
As she clicked the phone off, Jackson came from the balcony and walked over to her. "Who was on the
phone?" he asked.
"Your brother, Mond. He urged both of us to come to his house as soon as possible. Wilson and Derek
will be there," Cherry replied flatly.
"Why has he invited so many people? Is he going to throw a party?" Jackson asked in a surprised tone.
He intended to hold a party in the first place. But unexpectedly Mond had planned this ahead of him.
