Chapter 11: How Could She Fall Down?
Chapter 11: How Could She Fall Down?
Spencer left Sharp’s mansion with her suitcase, walking without purpose.
She had no idea where to go.
Looking up to the sky, finding it was cloudy.
Dimmed was the sunshine. It seemed the sun shared the same mood with her.
A smirk curved her lips.
She planned to confront with Charlotte to find the truth, but she was kicked out of Sharp family.
Lowering her head, she kicked away the pebble off her way.
Gradually, she felt better.
“Bang!”
She suddenly ran into a woman and hastily looked up to apologize, “I’m so sorry.”
“Spencer? Why do you walk with your suitcase? Were you from home? What happened to your face?”
The woman exclaiming in astonishment was Charlotte, who pretended to care about her situation,
looking at the mansion afar.
Finding the red finger prints on Spencer’s face, Charlotte tried to cup Spencer’s face and check it over,
but spencer dodged quietly.
“I just want to check your face to see if it’s serious.” Charlotte tried to cup Spencer’s face again after
Spencer’s dodging, and Spencer had no choice but to pat away Charlotte’s hands.
It occurred to Spencer that the person she had always wanted to confront with was standing in front of
her.
But she had lost the desire to ask her about anything as she had figured out everything.
All Spencer wanted is to walk away, but the moment she stepped aside, Charlotte grabbed her arm.
Charlotte frowned gently and asked affectionately, “Who did this to you? Just give me the name, and I’ll
revenge for you.”
Spencer sneered as she found her sister a perfect actress.
Never would she believe that Charlotte didn’t have the answer in the back of her mind.
Spencer’s lips quirked upward. “Fine. Go to take revenge on your dad since he’s the bad guy who
slapped my face.”
Charlotte was dumbfounded as she couldn’t believe what she heard.
“Impossible! How could my dad slap your face? He had never beaten you before as you’ve always
been his favorite daughter.”
Spencer taunted, “Are you being a coward now?”
“Come on! I just can’t believe that my dad hit you.”
Charlotte was so innocent and wronged that it seemed that Spencer was lying.
Charlotte quietly glimpsed at Samuel beside her, finding he was gazing at Spencer.
It seemed that he didn’t take in what they had said.
Exasperated and jealousy, Charlotte quietly clenched her fists.
She knew it that Spencer was a vixen, born to tantalize men.
Samuel was flipped in amazement as the girl he saw was gorgeous.
Despite her mildly swollen right face, beauty in all she was.
Attractive and pretty, she was more gracious than sexy as Charlotte was.
She was like a goddess from heaven without any secular tarnish.
He had noticed her from afar, but he was too amazed to stop her running into Charlotte.
He didn’t realize his goddess was her ex-fiancée until he heard Charlotte call that girl “Spencer”, which
shocking him to death.
The ex-fiancée he just rejected this morning?
A goddess who was dazzlingly beautiful?
Finding Samuel was still staring at Spencer, Charlotte intertwined her arms with Samuel’s and smiled,
“Samuel, this is my sister I mentioned before, Spencer Sharp.”
She purposely emphasized “I mentioned before”.
Samuel instantly knew Spencer was a girl he should contempt for.
Spencer leveled Samuel, a handsome gentleman with a pair of glasses.
He was nothing compared to the hottie last night.
She didn’t care about them and walked past them to leave.
However, her arm was grabbed again, stopping her from moving on.
She looked back at Charlotte with a frown, wondering when would she be over it.
“Spencer, why do you leave with your luggage? Are you moving out of our mansion?” She asked
anxiously.
Before Spencer answered her, she asked again, “Spencer, are you mad at me because Samuel
canceled your wedding? Is that why you move out?”
Spencer couldn’t help but to roll her eyes as she saw what was going on.
No wonder she was fooled by her sister for so long since Charlotte was such a good actress.
Dissatisfaction flashed across Samuel’s face as he saw Spencer ignored Charlotte’s concern.
“Spencer, please don’t take it out on me. You know I didn’t mean it. Samuel and I are meant to be
together as we love each other.”
Charlotte guiltily lowered her head and said quietly.
Annoyance flashed in Spencer’s eyes. She really didn’t care if they were true love or not.
Spencer’s tone was aloof, “Let go of me.”
With gritted teeth, Charlotte shook her head. “No. Just come home with me, shall we?”

“Let go of me!”
“No!”
Charlotte franticly shook her head as if she was about to cry.
“Would you please treat your sister well?”
“We will always be together as family even if Samuel marry me. I will always be your sister.”
Spencer couldn’t stand the drama anymore. She pulled her hand out and left.
However, the moment she pulled put her hand, Charlotte fell to the ground.
Spencer was shocked to find what happened to Charlotte. How could it be possible that Charlotte fell to
the ground as no one pushed her.
“Gosh! It hurts!”
Charlotte cried on the ground.
She lifted her knee up and found the bruise with broken skin.
“Are you okay?”
Samuel’s heart stuttered as he found her scars on her feet, and he hastily crouched to check them.
“I’m fine. Just scratches owing to the sands. They will be fine after some cleanse and ointment.”
He let out a sigh as the sands were not sharp.
The hem of Charlotte’s dress was above her knees.
When she fell to the ground with sands, scratches were left on her knees and feet.
Spencer furrowed her eyebrows as she found her sister scratched herself on purpose. After all, her
strength was too little to push her down to the ground.
She didn’t know what in the world she was up to.
Why would Charlotte come to upset her as she was already sad and pathetic?
“Be careful. Let me hold you up.”
Samuel carefully held Charlotte and helped her stand on her feet.
Charlotte cried out as she was hurt.
Samuel was so worried that he held her in his arms and patted on her back to comfort her. “There.
There.”
Then he turned around to glare at Spencer.
“Spencer, enough!”
“You know your sister is trying to be nice to you, but you ignore it. Why the hell do you push her? How
could you be so mean?”
“Just so you know that I’m the one that urges to cancel our wedding, because I love your sister as
much as I long to marry her. You have to apologize if you take out your anger on her.”
Spencer sneered. Why would she apologize when she didn’t do anything wrong?
Why would she apologize to her?
Charlotte was to blame as she drugged her to ruin her reputation, and now she planned to set her up
again.
Before she could say anything, Charlotte wept pathetically, “Spencer, why?”
“Why did you do that to me?”
“Despite that you were adopted by my grandpa, he has loved you more than he loved his own
grandchildren, not to mention my parents’ love for you.”
“You have always got what you want in our family as you’ve been treated as well as me. Why did you
hurt me?’
Poor and pathetic, Charlotte wept bitter tears of grievance, squeezing Samuel’s heart.
He gently wiped her tears off and calmed her down.
“Sweetheart, let’s go home. Just ignore her.”
Charlotte shook her head.
“No. My sister must have misunderstood me. I have to explain for myself, otherwise I can’t fall asleep
tonight.”
Samuel nodded and respected her choice.
Spencer’s world was crushed by what she heard.
She couldn’t believe her sister could be such a liar.
Throwing the mud all over her.
Understanding dawned on Spencer immediately. This was why Charlotte put on quite a show.
She slandered her in the face of Samuel to pop out her goodness.
No one but the idiots like Samuel would believe her lies.
“It must be our engagement that upsets my sister, who was rejected by you. She must be sad.”
Spencer rolled her eyes, because she didn’t give a shit about their engagement.
She was sad for her sister’s betrayal.
“Samuel, I’m afraid I can’t be your bridesmaid.”
Charlotte’s words were shocking.
Both Samuel and Spencer were dumbfounded, staring at Charlotte.
Spencer was especially confused as she thought Charlotte had always dreamt to marry a man from
Lam family.
What the hell was this?
Anyway, Charlotte must be up to some dirty tricks.
Samuel reprimanded, “What are you talking about?”
In her innocent mask, Charlotte tilted her head up to look at the man who was much taller than her.
“It’s my bad to grab you away from her. I’m not proud of that.”
“I should have given you back to her. Could you please marry Spencer? She loves you so much that
she’s desperate to marry you.”
“As long as you marry her, she’ll forgive me and go home with me.”
Samuel held Charlotte in his arms. “Don’t say it again. We’re about to be engaged, and nothing can
change that.”
Spencer couldn’t stand it anymore. “Hello? Is this the end of your show? Can I leave now? I don’t have
much time for your lousy performance. All your fake goodness just makes me sick.”
Then she walked away with her luggage.
On the next second, she sighed.
Because she found her arm was grabbed by someone’s hand. How she wished she could have a blade
to cut the hand off.
Why did they both love to grab others’ arms?
Because they were meant to be?
She swiveled around, asking annoyingly, “What else?”
“Bang!”
Spencer palmed her slapped face. She was down on her luck today as she had been slapped twice.
