Henry and Quinn were both on the bed, in her room upstairs. "I'm fucking tired." Quinn groaned as she sat up. "So I'm I... I don't think I can take a shower." Henry turned tiredly on the bed. "Then don't dream of sleeping on my bed. It seems you would like to sleep on the couch downstairs." Quinn glared at him. "You should know that I was joking. I'm a neat freak, and you know that." Henry shook his head. "I know that too well. Let me take a shower then." Quinn sauntered towards the bathroom. "Wait for me." Henry threw off the duvet and made his way towards her. "No way!!! Go back, and wait. When I'm done, you can take your own bath." Quinn shook her head. How could she allow him take a bath with her? They would of course end up doing something else. She couldn't allow that.. She was already tired as it was... "But that would be time consuming. I'm tired, and I badly want to sleep." Henry grumbled. "Well, do you want to take your bath first?" Quinn glared at him. "Me? No, don't worry... Go ahead..." He obediently went back to sit on the bed, and wait for her to be done with her bath. ....................... As Quinn lay in Henry's arms, she sighed for the umpteenth time. "Spit it out." Henry's clear voice sounded in the dark. "Pardon?" Quinn snuggled closer to him. "You wanted to say something... I'm all ears." Henry said. "Well, I was thinking about our daughter." Quinn smiled when she said that. She felt it was no longer weird, calling Emelda 'their daughter'. "Emelda? What about her?" Henry asked. "Well, you know... All through her ten years of existence, she had never felt a true fatherly love. I know it must have been tough on her." Quinn sniffled. Henry's grip on her shoulders tightened, "I know... And I'm going to try my best to make it up to her." Henry vowed.
"Alright then. I know you will... Good night." She wrapped her arms around his waist, and breathed softly, as she closed her eyes to sleep. Henry lay widely awake for a long time, even after she had fallen asleep. Whirling through his mind were thoughts about his daughter, and wife. He felt that everything was too good to be true. He had a wife, and a daughter... 'Ringg... ringggg' A call disrupted his thoughts. What the hell? Who was calling him in the middle of the night?! Groaning, he waded over to the bathroom to pick the call. He didn't want Quinn to wake up. Immediately he tapped the answer button, a voice shouted in his ears, "Yo man! What's up with you?" The voice shouted from the other end. "Are you out of your fucking mind, Jake?" He asked in a hushed voice. "I love you too. Have you seen the news?" Jake chuckled at the other end. "What news? And please, can you keep your voice down? My ears are literally bleeding." Henry said sharply. "Whatever, buddy. As I was saying about the news, man I'm I so worthless in your eyes?" Jake sounded hurt. "What are you talking about?" Henry frowned. "Well... You got married, and you didn't even bother to inform your best friend. To think I had to find out from the news headlines." Jake chuckled. He was truly upset. "Okay, I'm sorry. What's the great deal. And you just said something about the news?" Henry asked. "It seems like you haven't seen the news. Well, check the headlines. I'm hanging up now..." Henry heard the 'beep' sound as Jake hanged up from the other end. He quickly checked the business news headlines, and he chuckled when he saw news of Quinn alongside himself. "They couldn't even wait till the next day..." the bed. He sighed as he cuddled Quinn closer to himself. Contentedly, he closed his eyes to sleep. ================== It was morning. Quinn slowly opened her eyes, and groaned. Why did it have to be morning so soon? She subconsciously traced the bed with her hands, trying to touch Henry. Her eyes cleared completely when she felt the empty space beside her. She sat up and rubbed her sleepy eyes... Where was he? Maybe he was downstairs... She scrambled off bed, and put her foot in the soft home footwear beside her bed. She then made her way downstairs. A pleasant aroma assaulted her senses, as she came downstairs. Was he making breakfast? Without second thoughts, she made her way to the kitchen. The view which she saw, mesmerized her completely. She was stunned for a moment. There was Henry, with an apron tied on his waist, as he chopped vegetables on the chopping board. "Are you going to stand there?" Henry said without looking back at her. Quinn giggled as she went over to hug him. She wrapped her arms around his waist, and leaned her head on his broad back. "Good morning, baby." She said softly. Henry dropped the knife with which he was chopping the vegetables with. He then hugged her properly, "Good morning my love." He kissed her forehead affectionately. Quinn pulled away from his embrace as she laughed, "What should I help you with? I'm hungry." She smiled. "Nothing... Breakfast should be ready soon." Henry said. "Alright then... Let me head upstairs to brush my teeth first." She said.
"You spoiled my plans." Henry complained. "Plans? What plans, my dear husband?" Quinn chuckled. "Well, I wanted to serve you breakfast in bed. But you spoiled the plans, by coming downstairs." Henry confessed. "Really? Then you have yourself to blame, for not being fast enough." She teased. "No, you are the one to be blamed for waking up early." Henry argued. "Your business. I'll be back soon. Make sure breakfast is ready by then." Quinn raced upstairs. Henry shook his head helplessly after she left. He stirred the broccoli sauce on the fire. Getting to do things like this for his wife, put him at ease, and gave him a sense of bliss...
