Morning. Henry groaned as he dragged his feet across the room over to where he placed his phone. 'Ringg... ringggg' The incessant ringing continued. He glanced at the caller ID, THE ROYAL PALACE. It was the King of Country B, King Amal. "Hello." He said in a bored manner. "The King requests your presence, at the royal palace, by 10:00am today." The King's right-hand man informed. "Noted." He hung up before the man could say another word. They had disturbed his beauty sleep. A thought popped on his mind, and he dialed a number. "Boss?" A respectful voice said at the other end of the line. "I won't be coming over today. The palace." Henry said simply and hung up. He was a man of few words. ......... A flashy car drove into the palace ground. It was a Lamborghini. Everyone knew who the driver was. In the whole Country B, there was only one person who could drive such car, aside from King Amal; Master Henry. Henry parked his car beside the King's fleet of cars. A guard rushed up to his car, and opened it with a bow, "Welcome, Master Henry." Henry grunted in response, as he climbed up the stairs leading the doorstep. The door pushed itself open, and the King's right-hand man, Sabastian appeared before him with a smile. NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.
"The King has been waiting for you." Sabastian smiled again. "You can keep the smile to yourself." Henry sneered and walked past him. Sabastian looked at his back view and wrinkled his face in anger. He had always been envious of the respect the King himself accorded that bastard called Henry! Why should it be so? Even he, the King's right-hand man wasn't accorded the amount of respect and prestige which Master Henry enjoyed. Unfortunately, there was nothing he could do, but to watch helplessly. 'To imagine that he always turn up late, at every invitation.' His heart boiled in anger as he closed the door. He glanced at his watch, 11:27am. 'Bastard.' He cursed at him. The guard who was stationed at the door, almost peed his pants, when he saw Sabastian at the door. "Lo..... Lord Sab..... Sabastian." He stammered nervously and almost tripped. Sabastian glared at him and howled in fury, "Isn't this supposed to be your post?! Where's the head guard?!" He roared. He wanted to vent out his annoyance, but then recalled that Henry was already with the King. He didn't want to miss out on their discussion. He took a long look at the trembling guard, and scoffed when he noticed a wet patch across his crotch. 'So cowardly.' He moved over to the throne hall. The guard sighed in relief, after he was sure that Sabastian was no longer within earshot. He had only left for a while to pee, but had almost lost his job. ........... Henry walked into the throne hall, and nodded at King Amal. That was the highest amount of respect he could show the King. Nothing more, and nothing less.
King Amal didn't mind his actions at all, infact he smiled broadly, "Master Henry. You are welcome." King Amal smiled. Henry took his seat on a large chair, leaned his back against it. He focused his sharp gaze on the King. "I have been waiting for you," The King began. "I know. Sabastian informed me." Henry interrupted curtly. He didn't like coming over to the royal palace. He always felt unwelcome. King Amal smiled, not minding his interruption at all. But then his face closed up, and his eyes glinted dangerously. "The Stones family of Washington are becoming more threatening everyday." King Amal said in a hardened tone. Henry's heart skipped a beat. That had always been his reaction whenever the Stones family were mentioned. His heart always skipped... "I thought they were from the business world? How are they affecting us?" Henry darted around the topic. King Amal studied his expression closely. Then he sighed, "You have lived long enough in Country B, to know that the Stones are our rival. On the exterior, they deal with perfumes, and the likes, but we all know that isn't all." The King said seriously. He didn't understand the reason why each time he mentioned the Stones, Henry's attitude always changed. Did he have some dealings with them. At that moment, the door to the throne hall opened, and a figure dressed in a black suit walked in. It was Sabastian. He stopped directly in front of the King, and bowed respectfully, "Your Highness." His head remained bowed. "Rise." King Amal said calmly without taking as much as a glance at him. His gaze was fixated on Henry who had a serious expression on his face.
"Don't worry. I will take care of it." Henry assured after a while. His tone was cold, and so was his expression. Cold.... "I know you will. But I don't want just 'taking care of it.' I want you to end it." King Amal spat. Henry's expression didn't change. He got up slowly, "I will be taking my leave." He nodded and made his way out. "Are you leaving, while the King is still talking to you?!" Sabastian thundered in a bid to stop. However, he realized a little bit too late that he shouldn't have. Henry turned to look at him with a chilly gaze, which made him flinch. He found he couldn't utter another word. Henry walked out of the throne hall, this time without any hindrance. King Amal chuckled behind him, "Why did you do that, Sabastian?" His voice was calm, however Sabastian knew too well what a chuckle from the King meant. He was inwardly fuming! "I'm sorry Your Highness, I was wrong." He kowtowed immediately. "That shouldn't be for me, but for Master Henry. Pray he doesn't take offense, and refuse to help me take down the Stones. He has all the connections I need." King's Amal voice was chilly, without an iota of warmth at all. Sabastian nodded. He knew what the King meant by his words. Henry wasn't one to be offended!
