"President, are you going to attend the annual celebration of the Stone perfume empire?" Avie questioned politely. Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
"Do you know any of the invited guests?" Quinn raised her head from the document she was going through.
"I only know that Mr Henry would be attending. And yes, Miss Kathleen too." Avie reported.
"Book the next flight then. Let's head home." Quinn smiled.
Avie reciprocated.
Wasn't Kathleen underestimating her boss? She was going to get a huge face slap soon...
The Annual celebration was a huge affair... The Stones Perfume empire was entirely different from the Corporation.
It was managed by Sylvester Stone, Quinn's father. He was a capable and yet ruthless CEO whom no one dared underestimated.
Over the years, after his ascension as the CEO, he had brought the empire to greater heights...
Quinn always envied her father... She wanted to be like him someday.
One of the main reason why she decided to become a CEO of the Corporation, was to sharpen her skills and gain a lot of experience.
However...
She also wanted to maintain low-key.
In fact, after she was found, she kicked against announcing her as the heiress of the powerful family, to the social media.
She wanted to be strong enough first...
After all...
She had been kidnapped my once...
And she knew it was no coincidence.
Someone planned it!
And the someone was still lurking around somewhere.
Announcing that she had been found was like inviting the enemy over.
The result of this was...
No one knew that the only daughter of the Stones family, who had gone missing long ago, had been found...
And as for the party tonight, she had the intention to play with Kathleen a little.
After all, she ridiculed her and called her a common maid!

WASHINGTON DC.
Quinn came out of the bathroom and saw a wrapped box on her dressing table. What was it?
She smiled as she could already guess what was in the box.
Although she wasn't attending the celebration party as the daughter of the Stones, there was no way, her parents would allow her attend without dressing extravagantly.
It was a short sleeved, silver gown with round collared design. The body was made of a partially transparent chiffon.
It was so beautiful...
Tears gathred in Quinn's eyes. She had been alone for long, without knowing how the warmth of family felt like any longer.
But was that a problem?
It wasn't...
They were fully ready to make up for it as much as they can. They showed their care in every way possible.
..............
In order not to attract unnecessary attraction, it was decided that Emelda be left at home with her nanny.
They weren't ready to take any risk at all...
Quinn twirled herself around as she gazed at her reflection through the mirror. She looked absolutely dazzling...
She smiled and headed out of her room, and down the stairs.
The other family members were all waiting for her with bright smiles on their faces.
"You look dazzling dear." Nicole hugged her daughter.
"So do you , mother. In fact everybody looks stunning tonight." Quinn complimented.
"Shall we?" Sylvester gestured towards the door.
"Of course, let's get going." Patriarch Raphael was the one who replied this time.
Quinn entered a separate car and waited for them to drive off before following behind.
She made sure not to drive close to their limousine.
========================
The entrance to the venue was parked full with different luxurious cars... More importantly, reporters surrounded the place.
They were after all here to attend the celebration party of the most powerful family in Washington!
Burly men stood at the entrance scrutinizing every invitation card, before allowing the holder in.
The limousine soon arrived at the venue, and two men respectfully opened the door to the car.
The Stones had arrived!
All the noise died down immediately, as the reporters nudged themselves.
The aura which each of them emitted were enough to suppress the guests.
The Stones coldly walked into the hall.
=================
Twenty minutes later, Quinn arrived at the venue. She elegantly stepped out of her car.
The reporters as well as other guests who just arrived, watched her curiously.
Who was she?
Oh!
They recalled her face now... She was the CEO of the Stone's Corporation.
But was she fit to attend this party?
They couldn't help but wonder.
Quinn didn't mind their curious stares and made her way to the entrance. She was however stopped by the guards at the entrance.
"Your invitation card, Madam." They requested politely. They weren't stupid;.what if she was a low- key higher up?
Quinn told out her card and gave it to them.
The other guests waited to see how she would be embarrassed soon. There was no way they would allow her inside right?
"You have the golden card! This way please." One of the guards personally led Quinn into the hall.
The faces of the other guests turned red immediately in embarrassment. They were patiently waiting for her to be embarrassed and disgraced.
It turned out her social standing was even above them.
What a joke!
.................
The hall was brightly illuminated by the chandeliers hanging above. Different esteemed guests sat at their table according to their position. Every now and then, there would be hearty chuckles amongst the business men and women.
Everyone at the party had a high social standing or the other...
Decorum was maintained at the hall.
Quinn walked straight to a vacant sear and settled down there.
From her position, she could watch everything going on in the hall.
Het eyes roamed around the hall, as she watch different come in one after the other.
She rolled her eyes in boredom... She didn't like all these kind of social gatherings at all...
They bored her to death...
But...
She was looking forward to a bit of excitement tonight....
At that moment, her gaze settled on the person she had been wanting to see ever since she arrived.
Kathleen!
