Chapter182 I'll Abort Him Then
After a short interval of silence, there was suddenly a knock at the door, which was loud and clear.
The secretary was startled and looked back. Seeing a beautiful lady standing at the door, she
immediately retreated to the side and greeted respectfully, "Miss Green."
The lady in fashionable yet very dignified attire slowly approached while walking on her high heels. She
glanced at the secretary, giving a cold "yes", then looked across at Shawn who sat still. A trace of
gentleness across her eyes. "You're not finished yet?"
Towards her appearance, Shawn's expression didn't change at all, and his voice was not very warm
either, "Why are you here?"
The lady placed the thermal insulating box in front of him and opened it, saying, "I had our maid cook
some food. It's still warm. Have some."
The secretary looked at Shawn and said softly, "Mr. Simons, I still have other works to do, so I'm
leaving now."
Shawn nodded his head silently.
Soon, there were just two people left in the conference room. No one spoke, and they could only heard
the soft sound of the tableware colliding with each other. It seemed like they had been used to this kind
of interaction.
The lady wore a red dress and a small coat. Her skin was as fair as Snow White's. Her fingers were
slender and were dyed with vermilion nails. Even the diamond ring on her beautiful finger lost its
radiance.
She looked neither very sweet nor charming, but quite pleasant. She had an arrogant and cold air
when she was not talking.
Some people were born with such a temperament like hers.
"No need. I still have a meeting later. If you haven't eaten yet, you can eat at my office." Shawn stood
up slowly, stretched his stiff limbs, and walked over to the French window.
The lady paused for a moment, then calmly said: "There is still time. Have some food. I'll wait for you in
the office. Once you are done, let the secretary clean up and send it over."
Without waiting for him to speak, she turned around and leisurely left.
Shawn looked back at her back, his gaze deep.
In the CEO office.
The lady pushed the door open and entered. The secretary, who was organising the documents,
subconsciously turned her head when she heard the voice and saw her. She then smiled faintly, "Miss
Green."
There was no harm if there was no comparison. Even the secretary, who had an extremely good figure
and dressed in professional attire, completely lost to the lady. This showed the difference between a
normal person and a rich girl.
She looked straight at the secretary. Her voice was still calm, but there was an inexplicable pressure
coming from her. "What happened to Fantasy recently?" NôvelDrama.Org owns this.
The secretary hesitated, "This …"
The lady's voice became colder. "I'm his wife, and I can't even know that?"
The secretary's face suddenly turned pale.
The lady in front of her was Shawn's legal wife, the young miss of the Green family, Sarah Green. She
was quite rich and had a great education background.
It was just that the two of them were secretly married, so she had always called her Miss Green.
"There's been some issues with the company…"
The secretary then generally told her what happened recently.
Sarah took out a cigarette from her bag and lit it up skilfully. She placed it between her lips and took a
deep breath, her dark red lips letting out the white smoke.
After quietly listening, she stuck the cigarette between her fingers and flicked it at the ashtray. She then
asked, "He stayed in Brighton for so long, yet he got nothing?"
The secretary silently lowered her head and hesitated on how to explain everything to her.
She couldn't possibly tell her that Shawn went to Brighton just for a woman, right?
After thinking for a moment, she explained, "There are also some companies wanted to cooperate with
Fantasy. He also...went there to know about Christian Miller's friends on business."
If she said that Shawn went there for Christian's woman, she didn't know whether she would be beaten
by Sarah or not.
Sarah's expression did not change at all, as if she had no question of her explanation at all. She merely
reached out and extinguished the remaining half of the cigarette in the ashtray, then said in a hoarse
voice, "In the coming two weeks, does he...have free time during the day? "
"Half a month? Wait a moment." The secretary quickly went to get her Ipad and looked carefully. After
that, she looked up at Sarah with a troubled expression, "Miss Green … If you have anything need to
talk to Shawn, I can discuss the time with Shawn later. "
Sarah, however, did not seem surprised at all. She waved her hand coldly, "No need, I'll tell him
myself."
Not long later, Shawn opened the door and entered the office. Smelling the smell of smoke that had yet
to disperse, he frowned and said, "Didn't I say not to smoke in my office?"
He walked over to the desk, picked up the remote control, and opened the exhaust fan.
Then he stood there looking at her. "Why haven't you left yet?"
His tone didn't sound happy or angry, but his eyes seemed to be looking at a stranger.
Sarah put down her crossed legs and looked up at him, "I have something to talk to you. When can you
give me half a day?"
Shawn asked, "What is it?"
Sarah lightly withdrew her gaze when he looked at her, then lowered her head. "I couldn't explain it well
in such short period."
Shawn looked at her, his brows furrowed even tighter, his thin lips pursed, and after a moment, he
spoke, "I have been rather busy recently. You can make an appointment with my secretary."
"No need for an appointment, I'll tell you now. Tomorrow at noon, I'll be waiting for you at home." Sarah
suddenly picked up her bag and stood up.
"Sarah Green!" A trace of displeasure appeared on Shawn's handsome face, "Don't be wilful. I'm really
busy right now."
Sarah walked to his side and tenderly tightened his bow tie, smiling. "I know you're very busy so I won't
disturb you today. So tomorrow at noon, if you don't go, I hope you don't regret it in the future."
As she spoke, her slender fingers caressed the shirt on Shawn's chest. Then she turned to leave.
Shawn's accumulated anger for the past few days gushed out as he grabbed her wrist. With a gloomy
and handsome face, he coldly said, "You're threatening me? Sarah, you know my... "
Regret?
He had never regretted his decision in his life, including marrying her, even though he didn't have any
feelings for her. But because of the huge business interests brought by the marriage, he had never
been regretful. He only hated the threats from others.
"I'm pregnant." Sarah interrupted him with a calm expression.
Shawn stared at her, his pupils contracting.
Sarah continued, "I had originally planned to give you half a day to think it over. If you don’t want it, I'll
abort it then."
With her brief words playing down, Christian's face instantly tensed up. It seemed as if he was going to
break in sections.
After a few seconds of silence, his expression remained unchanged, but his voice suddenly became
cold. "You want to abort him?"
Hearing this, Sarah suddenly sneered, "What, you want to keep it?"
She stared at him, with her heart clenching.
