Love's New Bloom

Chapter 201

Chapter 201

Chapter 201 Erin Returns

At 8 pm that night, Erin left the Garden of Eden with a suitcase.

Paulo stood by the window; he stayed in his office without seeing her off. The reason was that there were three things he hated the most- weddings, funerals, and farewells.

Although he didn’t personally see Erin off the island, Paulo remained standing by the window, watching the helicopter depart from the small island until it disappeared completely into the darkness. He stood there motionless for a whole hour, and his expression was so calm that it was terrifying. Paulo had wanted very badly to go back with Erin, but he didn’t act upon it.

Erin hadn’t seen her family and friends for a whole seven years, and she’d never left his island that whole time. Paulo was her closest friend whom she spent most of her time with.

From the perspective of the amount of time spent with Erin, Paulo had no doubl triumphed over Chandler and Roman.

A faint smile appeared on Paulo’s lips as he recalled what Roman had told him all those years ago, saying that he couldn’t quite figure out his feelings for Erin–he was right. Paulo did fall for her one way or another, and he couldn’t even remember when it had started.

Paulo couldn’t forget the last plastic surgery he performed on Erin. At that time, he’d ordered all the medical staff assisting him to leave

the operating room.

Looking at Erin, who was unconscious due to being under anesthesia, he had the urge to kiss her. He was aware that after this surgery.

Erin would soon leave the Garden of Eden.

Thinking of that, Paulo no longer suppressed his innermost feelings. He kissed Erin’s lips. This memory would be deeply imprinted in his

mind. The thing he remembered most vividly was that Erin’s lips were cold.

Jenny had been standing beside Paulo by the window the whole time. Seeing him so lost for the first time, she couldn’t help but speak up.

“Boss, since you’re so unwilling to let Miss Lane leave, why didn’t you stop her?”

“Oh, Jenny. You’re so naïve. Erin has been forced to stay here all this time because of her physical trauma. Now that she has regained her

looks, it’s only natural for her to return to her previous life. I’m just her friend and doctor. What right do I have to ask her to stay?” Paulo’s eyes began to dim, and he realized that he was far more disappointed and melancholic than he’d imagined.

This unfamiliar and painful feeling of parting made him feel helpless. He had so much bitterness in him but no way of letting it out.

“If I may be honest, let me offer you my two cents. I hope you won’t get angry. We’ve all noticed your feelings for Miss Lane, and it’s impossible that she’s indifferent about it. When it comes to matters of the heart, it’s usually better for the man to take the initiative. By letting Miss Lane go, you’re inadvertently letting Chandler and Roman get closer to her instead. Do you really want to watch helplessly as Miss Lane starts to date other guys?”

It was clear that Jenny felt anxious for Paulo. After all, this was the first ever time her boss had shown interest in anybody throughout the years she’d worked for him. By now, everyone in Garden of EdenProperty © NôvelDrama.Org.

knew that Paulo wasn’t gay, and he even had a lady he liked, but he wasn’t taking action to pursue her!

Paulo glanced at Jenny, his faint smile tinged with confidence. “Time is a wonderful thing. The emotional bond between Erin and me cannot be compared to her bond with Chandler and Roman. Erin is a proud and confident woman. From how she was able to endure not contacting Chandler at all throughout these seven years, it remains to be seen whether they’ll get back together. Even if Erin has a child with Chandler, he’s at most the biological father of her child and nothing else. Love, as you have seen, doesn’t always guarantee that a couple will end up together. It involves too many factors. Love is complex and abstract, and it’s better not to touch it until one has enough. courage.”

Paulo turned around and sat on his office chair. Then, he began to continue writing his medical reports as usual, as if Erin’s departure was an inevitable and expected choice.

Jenny looked at her boss, who had returned to his usual state, and decided not to persuade him any further. After all, it wasn’t appropriate for her to poke her nose into her boss‘ affairs as it might incur his wrath and disdain. Therefore, Jenny left quietly.

Once she was gone, a trace of helplessness flashed in Paulo’s seemingly calm and cold eyes. Long before Erin left the Garden of Eden, they’d made an agreement. He gave her a month’s time to freely meet the people she wanted to see during that month. After one month, he would go find her. This was the maximum amount of freedom he could give her. If it exceeded one month, he was afraid he wouldn’t be able to keep a lid on his longing for her.

he’d created for her with his own hands?

Paulo picked up his phone and looked at the woman on the screen with intense longing. He spoke in an extremely calm tone. “One month from now, you’ll have to start getting used to me pursuing you.”

Over two hours later, when Roman had just parked the car in the garage of his own villa, his phone suddenly started ringing.

The car’s navigation system was connected via Bluetooth, so his phone was linked to his car’s display. The caller’s name displayed on the screen made Roman and Erin exchange a glance.

It was Chandler.

Roman looked at Erin, seeking her opinion with his eyes. In response, Erin lowered her gaze slightly and nodded, indicating that he could answer the call. With that, Roman pressed the answer button.

Chandler’s deep and pleasant voice immediately came through, “Roman, are you at home? Asa and I returned to the country last week. He just made some snacks and said he wanted to send them over for you to have a taste. If you’re at home, Asa and I will come over if it’s convenient for you.”
