Married to the Boss: A Love in Disguise

Chapter 378

Chapter 378

Lucas: [Don’t worry, I’ve set aside money for our daily expenses.]

Lumma immediately transferred 2000 dollars back to him, with the note:

[Merry Christmas!]

Lucas sent another larger transfer, with the note: [Darling, Merry Christmas!]

After being married for so long, it was the first time he called her by such an endearing name. Lumma’s face turned red, and before she could think of a reply, Judy suddenly approached, “Lumma, stop playing with your phone and let’s eat before the food gets cold.”

Lumma hurriedly put away her phone, and then she heard Judy say, “Lumma,

who were you messaging just now? Why is your face so red?”

Lumma absentmindedly touched her face and said, “Well… uh… it’s probably

because the room is a bit warm, and maybe it’s because I just had a drink…”

Adam’s gaze immediately turned towards Lumma. With her fair skin and ample collagen, her blushing cheeks resembled a ripe apple, making her look incredibly appealing.

Adam involuntarily swallowed, feeling a sudden dryness in his mouth. He

quickly raised his glass and finished the remaining half in one gulp. Instead of quenching his thirst, the wine seemed to ignite a burning fire inside him.

He restlessly tugged at his collar, unbuttoning two buttons of his shirt,

revealing his attractive collarbone… Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

Judy nodded knowingly, “So it was because of the alcohol.”

Lumma immediately served Judy a piece of foie gras, attempting to silence her with food. “This dish was specially prepared for you. Try it and let me know if it tastes good.”

Judy replied, “I’ve already tried it, and it’s delicious. Thank you, Lumma!

Leonard, savoring the paella, added, “Lumma, is this paella made just for

me?”

Lumma smiled and replied, “Yes, a few days ago, you were constantly talking about craving hometown food, so I prepared this paella specifically for you. How does it taste?”

Leonard raised his glass and took a sip. “Lumma, not to flatter you, but your culinary skills surpass those of many professional chefs in restaurants. If one day you decide not to work at Hills Group anymore, you could easily open your

own restaurant.”

Lumma smiled and replied, “Mr. Davies, thank you for your compliment! Let

me know when you crave it again, and I’ll make it for you.”

Steve was always quiet, keeping his head down as he ate, oblivious to the brewing storm at the table.

Laura, who had more life experience than anyone present, sensed it and knew

that it had to do with Lumma and Leonard.

She glanced at Adam, who had previously been smiling but now wore a gloomy

expression because his wife had cooked a dish for another man. “Adam,

Lumma has prepared dishes that everyone enjoys, including you.”

Lumma also sensed a cold atmosphere beside her, but she didn’t know it was

because of her. She raised her glass and said, “Mr. Hills, I raise a toast to you, thanking you for taking care of me this past year.”

Adam rhythmically tapped his wine glass with his slender and elegant fingers, his gaze toward Lumma carrying a hint of resentment. “What about mine?”
