Chapter 1880
Chapter 1880
Piper and Freya looked at her suspiciously.
Piper was the first to raise the question. “Caprice, why don’t you want to go?”
Freya chimed in. “Yeah, you have nothing else to do anyway, come with us!”
Caprice considered for a moment before stating, “I have some other plans tomorrow, | can’t join you two.” Freya continued to probe. “What plans do you have?”
Caprice declared boldly, “I’m going to Liam’s place tomorrow.”
Freya and Piper were aware that Liam’s parents regularly asked her to visit them.
They no longer protested. “Okay then, | guess only the two of us are going then.”
Caprice secretly heaved a sigh of relief.
Unexpectedly, while Piper and Freya were preparing to leave the next morning, Trey showed up.
He heard from Piper and Freya that Caprice was going to Liam's house and kindly offered to give her a ride. “Hey Caprice, | have some time to kill, why don’t | drive you there?”
Caprice turned down the offer. “It’s alright, just take Frey and Piper to Emerald V.” Trey remarked, “Piper has a car, she doesn’t need me to drive her.”
Piper stated gleefully, “Yeah, my dad bought me a new car! | can drive myself.”
Trey shook the car keys in his hand and winked at Caprice. “So, what's it going to be?” Caprice frowned. “Okay.”
She took her purse and got into Trey’s car.
Liam's house was located on the outskirts of the city. It was a gigantic villa, almost a mansion situated in the middle of the woods, a complete departure from the hectic cityscape.
It was well guarded.
As soon as they reached one of the access points, they were stopped at the security checkpoint. Caprice popped her head out of the car and greeted the guard warmly, “Hey, it’s me.”
The security guard recognized her by sight. He greeted her politely and let them in without any further questions. There was still some distance to cover.
Trey pivoted the steering wheel while observing the surroundings.NôvelDrama.Org copyrighted © content.
He clicked his tongue. “Tsk tsk tsk. As expected of the richest family in Westchester.”
He said this in a strange tone, and Caprice chose to ignore him.
After a few he suddenly brought up. “One day, I’m going to buy myself a land as big as
this one and build a giant manor.”
Caprice murmured, “I’m sure you can do it.”
Shortly after she spoke, they stopped at the main gate of the Carter Villa.
Trey turned to her, smiling brightly, “I will. If you haven't got married by then, I'll marry you.” Caprice said goodbye briskly and proceeded to get out of the car.
Trey grinned. He waited until Caprice stepped past the gate before making a u-turn and leaving.
All of the security guards knew Caprice.
None of them stopped her from entering. After passing through the gate, she stopped and looked back at Trey’s car. After his car had gone out of sight, she stepped back out of the gate again.
Sylvia was currently overseas. She left three days ago to attend a certain art exhibition.
Odell went with her.
They were not at home, so Caprice had no reason to be here in the first place.
Before her feet managed to cross the gate, she heard a familiar voice coming from behind her. “ Where are you going?” Caprice was startled and quickly spun around.
She was confronted by Liam’s imposing figure only several meters away from her.
He was dressed in a casual white shirt coupled with a pair of jeans. His hair was brushed to the side and gently rested above his eyebrows.
It was a stark contrast from his usual outfit at work, with the suit and all. He was dressed very casually today but still managed to preserve the princely air he always had around him.
He was undeniably handsome and charming. Caprice felt her cheeks reddening, she stammered as she spoke. “Why—Why are you here?” Liam stated curtly, “This is my house.”
Caprice cringed at her ridiculous question. “I-Don’t you usually live in Carter Tech City?”
