Mated to my sister’s ugly mate

When Jessica thought about what Shadow and “Alpha Dominic ” had just done, a wave of jealousy washed over her. Her eyes narrowed, flashing a hint of green in their depths. “Why are you still wrapped up in Alpha Dominic ? Don’t you realize you’re a married woman? Ignoring you is your own fault, Alpha Kilian !”

The jabs of Jessica ‘s words struck directly at Shadow ‘s vulnerabilities.

Shadow ‘s expression shifted slightly, but she stood her ground. “Even if Alpha Kilian doesn’t care about me, I’m still his Luna . But what about you? Once the Eden Group goes bankrupt, no one will tolerate you anymore.”

Jessica ‘s face drained of color. She pointed a shaky finger at Shadow and snapped, “Shut up!”

Even though Jessica was spoiled by her family, she knew deep down that her recklessness was only tolerated because of the Eden Group’s influence.

Though not a major company in the Herton Pack , the Eden Group had a long-standing reputation and solid foundations. It held sway over various established companies in the industry, thanks to the friendships Old Master Eden had forged before retiring over a decade ago.

While the Eden Group’s influence may pale in comparison to the Lances family, it was still significant.

Jessica couldn’t bear to imagine the life she would have if the Eden Group were to go bankrupt.

“If you have time to argue with me, perhaps you should focus on resolving the company’s crisis,” Shadow said knowingly. She understood that the Eden Group would weather this storm, even if it suffered substantial damage. She had only mentioned bankruptcy to rattle Jessica .

The quarrel between Jessica and Jason left her in a foul mood. Upon hearing Shadow ‘s words, she retorted, “When did it become your place to teach me a lesson, you slut!”

Shadow remained unruffled. Tilting her head slightly, she smiled and asked, “My dear sister, aren’t we both cut from the same cloth? If I’m a slut, what does that make you?”

“Shadow !” Jessica was nothing more than an arrogant and useless individual. She couldn’t even engage in a proper argument with Shadow .

With a daughter like Jessica , Shadow couldn’t help but sympathize with Jason.

Turning to walk away, Shadow was halted by Jessica ‘s voice, demanding, “Stop right there!”

Jessica practically wore next to nothing, donning a low-cut dress that seemed expensive, with a coat of decent quality concealing her thin stockings and high heels. Despite the cold, she maintained her seductive appearance.

As the wind blew, Jessica ‘s coat fluttered and exposed her already ruffled chest, covered in goosebumps.

Shadow couldn’t help but fix her coat for her. She couldn’t help but admire Jessica ‘s determination.

Though it was freezing, Jessica refused to let it dampen her presence. Wearing 8cm heels slightly taller than Shadow , it wasn’t too noticeable.

Cocking her chin in an authoritative tone, Jessica demanded, “Give me Alpha Dominic ‘s number.”

Shadow furrowed her brows, doubting if she had heard correctly. “Whose number?”

This woman had just insulted her, yet now she boldly requested Alpha Dominic ‘s number. What gave her the audacity?

“Alpha Dominic ‘s, of course!” Jessica reiterated impatiently. “You’re useless. If Alpha Kilian won’t help you, then I have to find a solution myself.”

She intended to seek out Alpha Dominic ?

Shadow sneered. “Go find him yourself.”

“What’s with your attitude? It’s fine if you won’t help the Eden Group, but can’t you at least provide me a number? Don’t forget, your surname is also Moore!”

Jessica ‘s words had a semblance of logic, but her face remained devoid of any guilt.

Shadow ‘s smile deepened, but her visage grew colder and colder. Her gentle voice turned frigid, carrying a hint of menace. “Of course I won’t forget that my surname is Moore.”

Every misfortune she had encountered in her life thus far could be traced back to her surname. All of it, caused by individuals bearing the same name.

“How could I forget that my surname is Moore?” Shadow ‘s voice softened. “Sister, I won’t tell you where to find Alpha Dominic ‘s number, but I can inform you that he frequents the Golden Fountain Club.”

Sharing someone’s phone number was a personal matter. Regardless of her disdain for Alpha Dominic , she couldn’t simply provide Jessica with his contact information.

However, she could drop a hint, indicating that Alpha Dominic spent time at the Golden Fountain.

There was no guarantee that Jessica would even cross paths with him, and even if she did, the chance of success was slim.

In essence, Shadow simply wanted to stir up trouble for “Alpha Dominic .”

Who told him to be so shameless!

That night, “Alpha Dominic ” didn’t come to pick her up.

Instead, Frank arrived in a car to collect her.

The evening sky had grown overcast, with rain falling steadily. It was already dark outside.RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

Seated in the car, Shadow expressed her dissatisfaction. “Didn’t I say you don’t have to drive me to work?”

“Master Cousin asked me to fetch Young Madame. He mentioned that it’s difficult to flag down a taxi on rainy days.”

Frank had been feeling rather anxious lately, afraid that he might slip up in front of Shadow and expose himself. It would be impossible to explain to Alpha Kilian .

Shadow eyed Frank with suspicion. “Are you referring to Alpha Dominic ?”

Could it be that Alpha Dominic had planned to pick her up tonight, knowing it would rain?

It took Frank a moment to comprehend before replying, “Yes.”

A flicker of hope ignited within Shadow ‘s heart. What if Alpha Dominic had coincidentally encountered Jessica ?

Frank’s words suddenly struck her, “Alpha Dominic ” emphasized that he wouldn’t be home for dinner tonight, as he had some business at the Golden Fountain.

Shadow ‘s heart skipped a beat.

Could he have encountered Jessica by chance?

Frank, observing Shadow ‘s anxious expression from the rearview mirror, mistook it for concern over Alpha Dominic . He assured her, “The young master is only handling some affairs. He won’t be out too late.”

Shadow absentmindedly nodded, oblivious to Frank’s reference to “Alpha Dominic .”

Meanwhile, Frank began to perspire profusely as he realized his slip-up.

Returning home, the Castle felt empty.

Shadow entered, her eyes searching the surroundings without purpose.

She ascended the stairs to change her clothes, then ventured into the kitchen to prepare her own meal.

Alpha Dominic was absent, and Alpha Kilian ‘s whereabouts remained a mystery. She had to fend for herself.

As she dined, an inexplicable urge prompted her to call Lisa . She wanted to ascertain if Jessica had gone to the Golden Fountain.

“Mom, have you eaten?” Shadow did her best to suppress the urgency in her voice.

Lisa sounded surprised. “No, I was just about to. Your father and sister are still in the study, discussing some matters. They asked me wait for them.”

“Ah, I see. I was just checking. I’ll eat now. Goodbye.” Shadow hung up, feeling a wave of relief wash over her.

On the other end, Lisa felt the sudden phone call was rather unexpected. However, Shadow ‘s concern warmed her heart. Her spirits lifted, knowing her daughter still cared deeply for her.

Just as Jason and Jessica descended the stairs, Lisa hurried over. “Please, come and eat before the food gets cold.”

Jessica glanced at Lisa and replied, “I’m not eating. I’m going out.”

Only then did Lisa notice Jessica ‘s changed attire and elaborately done makeup.

“Where are you going? It’s already late at night.”

“That’s none of your business. I have important matters to attend to,” Jessica retorted, casting a disdainful glance in Lisa ‘s direction. She admired herself in a mirror, thoroughly satisfied with her appearance.

She refused to believe that “Alpha Dominic ” would turn down a seductive beauty like herself.
