Mistake with the Alpha

Smiling like sunshine was her smile. It was as if we didn't have any worries on earth. Sam was really beaming, she was running around the very colourful garden. I had in my hands a beautiful girl. She was so beautiful. She had the eyes of her mother and her red hair. It was really soothing to my heart. How can I be more happy than this? This looks so real. Even if it was a dream, I don't want to wake up anymore.

Sam came to me and hugged me. All this joy for just me. I kissed her forehead, her eyes, her nose and then her lips. This is the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. No one can stop me. Her scent was driving me crazy. Even if the moon goddess didn't choose this female for me, I would choose her myself.

I then hugged her but then I noticed that she was beginning to get hot like someone who caught a fever. This got me so alarmed. I begin to shake her. I then realised that the baby I held was gone. I looked around to see if I had mistakenly dropped her but then she was nowhere to be found.

Looking back at Sam, she was already removing smoke. She was burning. Everywhere around me has become desolate. All the nice booming flowers were withered. I feel so lonely in my heart.

"Help me Jay!" She cried out.

I wanted to remove my clothes to use to help her quench the fire but after I touched my body, I discovered that I wasn't putting on any clothes. I was looking for what to do but I couldn't find anything around me. I tried to use my hand but it was too hot for me to bear. Soon she started turning to ashes and blowing away.

"No! No! No! Samantha, don't do this to me!" I shouted. "Jay!" She called.

Her voice was beginning to get distant. I could barely hear it. She was stretching her hand to me but then our hands couldn't touch each other. I was glued to where I was. I couldn't move. "No!!!!"

I shouted that my throat almost broke into two when I saw that she was disappearing gradually. With my shout I jerked up and opened my eyes immediately. It was then I realised that people were in my room. "What is going on?" I asked myself.

Even if I got sick, there wouldn't be so many people in my room. I saw Sam, Sally, Alvin, Ethan, my father and some guards. I wanted to stand up but I noticed that I was naked beneath the quilt.

Then I start to flash back what happened before now. It then began to occur to me. From the time I took Sam to the human land. Till when she helped me tame the vampire in me. I could remember that I almost killed her and this got me scared. After that night, I couldn't remember anything anymore. This got me frustrated.

"Can someone do me the favour of telling me what the hell is going on!" I growled.

I was glaring at them all.

"It's all about this witch!"

That was my father. He pointed in a direction. I looked at the direction he was pointing at, then I saw Sam who was hiding behind Ethan or should I say Ethan was the one shielding her. I frowned. I don't know what is with Sam and Ethan. He always seems to be at her rescue.

"Is it at this moment that you should be jealous?" Hort scolded me.

"I'm not jealous," I denied.

Then something struck me. Did they find out our secret? They thought that Sam should be in Hades's prison. Now she's seen by my side. Looking at Sam, she was wearing a nightgown. I was a bit relieved that she wasn't wearing a nightie that was so revealing. It would have been a big disgrace. Nothing was exposed except her plump chest.

I then start to think of what she would have done to my father this time that would make him this furious. She has been in prison, so what has she done this time around?

"What has she done this time dad?"

My look showed that I wasn't pleased with my father. He seems to be intentionally picking on Sam. With the way I asked my question, my dad seemed quite disappointed. He was really pissed off.

"I'm so disappointed in you Jay. I thought I trained you better than that" he said.

Funny enough my dad's disappointed look and voice didn't move me at all. I rolled my eyes. I didn't know what he really wanted from Sam. This time around, I wouldn't let anyone bully Sam. If not for her sake but for my pup in her.

"So you didn't imprison this witch but then deceived the whole pack because you just want to continue sleeping with her?"

His voice was so painful. My father has never been like this. He had always trusted my judgement since I shifted at a very tender age. I looked around wondering where my mother was. She would be in the best position to save me right now. "Dad, you left me with no choice. I'm sorry".

I sighed. I know that I had disappointed everyone but then I too deserve happiness. I looked towards the door and I saw Allison standing there. Her face was so sad. I looked back at Sam, she was already crying. "Sorry?"

My father chuckled and shook his head.

"You are here busy sleeping your life away while the so-called female you are giving your life to, is busy destroying everything we've worked so hard for".

My father's eyes glistened with tears and that shocked me so much. My father just cried. What the hell is going on? What have they done now that they have pinned on Sam again this time? What is Sam destroying? I know my mother, this kind of thing wouldn't be happening and she would have been here. She doesn't like anything that would disrupt my life.

"Where is my mother?"

My fear was evident. My father looked at Sam with so much hatred that I've never seen him before. Is he insinuating that Sam did something to her? But Sam loves my mother like her own mother. How can she hurt her? "Ask her," he said.

Sam shook her head. "No, I don't know".

One of the guards came in. "Sir, the crowd is getting impatient".
