"It's fine, it's just Ethan," Jay said to me.

I breathe a sigh of relief. I've never seen Ethan shift before. This is the first time I'll see Gemma in his wolf form. The wolf is just as beautiful as he is. It is a large black wolf with blue stripes on his body. That blue is my blue. I know it's because I'm Luna now. He's wearing my colour now that I'm marked.

Ethan didn't care if they were all looking at him. He moved closer to sniffing me. He then looked at me. Since he didn't sense any danger on me again, he gave me a look and I understood. How I didn't I didn't know but I know I did. "I'm fine Gemma" I smiled at him.

He didn't even take his eyes off a bit. He kept glaring at the thing.

When I knew I wasn't dreaming was when I felt something tickling on my wrist. I tried looking down but then I couldn't move anything aside my eyes. I felt the blinking of the bead. It was as if it was drawing out my strength at full force. Later, it started to choke me. From my wrist, then the choking moved to my neck. It didn't stop until I heard mom call my name. At the sound of her voice, everything happening to me vanished, including the woman's figure. Then I knew I had to call Jay to see if he's fine. Since he also is wearing that wrist bead" I narrated.

Now I'm back to normal. I couldn't feel any weakness. It was as if I drew my strength from Jay.

"Yes, my father once captured a witch, who was trying to impersonate my mother so as to kill my father. Then I was just growing my witch ability. My father didn't want me to then but because I was the one who told him that's not my mother, he allowed me to train more but secretly. This is definitely Ashanti's handiwork. I can't find it difficult to know it's her" he said with a sneer.

I wondered who this so-called Ashanti is. And what on earth have I done to her to make her kill me?

"I have a question," Jay's mother said.

We all looked at her.

"Didn't Jaylen too wear the wrist bead? How come he's not affected?" She asked.

Yes, that's really true. I had thought it would affect him. That's why I went to call him immediately but then he came home like nothing happened.

"That's what I don't know either," Jay said.

The look he wore showed that he truly doesn't know why he wasn't affected. Then Drey decided to throw down a bombshell.
