Mistake With The Alpha Chapter 150
Jaylen's POV
Drey sighs before he talks.
"Do you know that the magic Allison did wasn't on you but on Sam?"
His asking me this question was kind of silly. How did you expect me to know when it's not as if I'm a witch like him? But then if the magic was on Sam, why did I smell Allison?
"I don't know that," I replied.
"Oh that's true you can't know" he said nodding his head.
I gave him a quizzical look." But wait I smelt Allison's mating bond. If the magic wasn't on me I shouldn't have smelt it" I said.
"As if you know anything" he mocked me and I glared at him." Here is the logic of the whole thing".
He paused looking at me.
"They tried making you hallucinate that Allison is your mate and smell Allison herself but then magic doesn't work on you, so they decided to try your mate out. They stole her smell and put it on Allison while they cage the remaining one with Sam. That was how they were able to make you think she's your mate. If you had noticed, the smell wasn't as strong as it should be" he explained.
"So in summary of everything you said, magic doesn't work on him" Sam said.
Drey nodded and I could see excitement on Sam's face. She was thinking that would be a good thing for me. No one would ever be able to hurt me. Shouldn't she be thinking of herself instead of me? Even without magic working on me, I'm as powerful as a witch. They can't harm me. Even as Drey explained I still didn't believe him. But I didn't say more. He saw me with a look and I know he thought about it because I heard him.
"Do you want me to show you?" He asked.
That caught my attention. That would be a good idea. It's only when I see it, that I can believe it.
"That's not a bad idea" I said quickly.
Drey adjusted.
"Wait! Wouldn't it be dangerous?" She asked with a scared look.
"Since he said I can't be hurt, it should be dangerous," I assured her.
She nodded but she was still scared in her heart.
"Da..... dree..... li... su... marina kanderi" Drey chanted in a low voice.
Then all of a sudden pointed at Ethan. Before we know it, Ethan fell to the ground groaning in pain. He was trying to fight the pain but he couldn't. Ethan's head was as if it's going to explode any moment from now with the way it was stretching. "Drey stop, you are hurting him!" Sam and my mother shouted at the same time.
The two women looked so scared.
"Ka... sa..... na" he said.
And immediately Ethan was alright. He was panting on the floor there. All these we are talking about wasn't even up to a minute.
"You said you were going to use it on me, not on Ethan. Why did you do that?" I asked him sternly.
Ethan was already seated. His body was back to normal. He gave Drey a malevolent look.
"Were you planning to kill me before now?"
His eyes were glowing but Drey never seemed to be moved. He just looked at him casually.
"Oh you thought this would be a good avenue to do it right?" Ethan said angrily.
Dray looked at him blankly as if he had done nothing. If anyone had entered just now and saw Ethan talking angrily at Drey, they wouldn't have believed what Ethan said.
"If I had wanted to kill you, I'd do it even without my witch power. Your death will give me no reward, friend," he said casually.
"Then why did you do it?" Ethan snapped.
"I only wanted you all to see me use the power on someone else before I use it on Jaylen. So when I use it on him, I'll know that I never lied" he said.
Ethan's look now calmed down.
"You should have told me that so I would have prepared" he said with a grudging look.Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.
Drey shrugs and the edge of his lips twisted slightly and this made Ethan sneer at him.
"Now it's your turn Alpha," Drey said.
I looked at him with an I'm ready look.
"Da..... dree..... li... su... marina kanderi" Drey chanted.
He stretched his hand just like he did to Ethan and then, we waited for something to happen to me like it did to Ethan. I was expecting to be rolling on the floor but I didn't. I didn't even feel anything talk more of me rolling. "Casa.... da.... dree...... elre.... li..... sha...... su..... mar.... ina kan.... deri" Drey repeated the chant, stressing it more than before.
His voice was even louder than before but yet nothing happened. He repeated it three more times before he finally gave up. Even if was panting because he was shouting. I was just sitting there looking at him. Everyone in the room looked at me. "What?" I asked.
"Should I try another one?"
I could see that Drey intentionally said that to scare Ethan.
"Don't you dare use that dark magic on me!" Ethan attacked.
"Calm down, friend," Drey mocked.
Ethan glared at him, and he laughed.
"It's alright. No more using magic on anyone. We've got enough evidence." My mother came to Ethan's rescue.
"At least let me destroy this," Drey pointed at the wrist beads on the table.
"Too bad those nice jewels will be destroyed," Sam said softly.
Drey frowned. "This is no jewel. It's just the mandrake root," he said.
"Biv.... Vir," he said, touching the table where the beads were seated.
Just as he said, the ugly roots came out. Sam looked surprised. Even my mother wasn't surprised anymore.
"Oh.... zip.... kil gert... Mandrake.... ni ni ni... kilbreshe..."
As Drey was chanting, the table began to shake violently. Sam held me tightly while my mother held Ethan. The two were scared to death.
"Vil... nikoko.... zhirp... lpxre... xre..... nxre... manananana... supes..... allikas..... ahhhhhhhh!"
Drey's voice was quite loud when he was done chanting. The table shook and the root on the table made a loud noise shaking the whole building. Sam had already buried her face in my chest. Soon the root disappeared and the sound of windows breaking echoed through the house and silence followed next.
"Done" he said dusting his hand as if he touched anything.
I looked at all my windows that he just ruined. Drey must have known that the staff would do this but in his wickedness, he didn't take it outside.
"Did you just intentionally break all my expensive windows?" I asked him.
I was glaring at him but Drey was smiling.
"You're welcome" he said annoyingly.
I gritted my teeth at him.
