Cynthia nodded, getting straight to the paint. “How is Matthew doing at the company?” Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org
“He’s doing well,” Moe responded briefly.
This surprised Cynthia Getting a compliment ect of Moe was no small feat.
“And what would you say are his strengths?‘ she asked.
Upon hearing this, Mor glanced at Cynthia, his expression one of hesitation, Cynthia sat calmly, noticing his reluctance to speak, “What is it?”
“I think he would make a good leader. He has performed excellently in the tasks assigned to him, shows unique insight, has a broad perspective, and has not made any mistakes,” Mor, after a moment of consideration, shared his opinion.
“I see,” Cynthia murmured.
It seemed Captain was indeed good at everything. Moe quietly waited for her to continue without rushing her.
“In that case, let him handle some of the subsidiaries independently. If he proves capable, consider assigning him a role in one of the subsidiaries,” Cynthia instructed.
“Understood,” Moe agreed.
In Cynthia’s view, Captain would most likely prefer staying at home. She’d arrange for him to transfer if a suitable vacancy opened up near his house. That way, he would have more convenience in whatever he wanted to do. Having sorted out these details, she went back to her tasks.
The day flew by swiftly. Recalling her agreement to meet up with Riley and others in the evening, Cynthia chose not to stay Late at work. She left the office on time, accompanied by Matthew. Coincidentally, this sight was witnessed by Moe, who watched as Matthew got into Cynthia’s car, and they both drove off. Lost in thought, Mor pulled out his phone and texted Cynthia, Boss, I suspect your friend has ulterior motives toward you ||
At that moment, Cynthia was driving to the location where Riley and others were gathered, so she did not see the message. Riley’s group had booked a private club, konwn for its exclusive membership, frequented by social elites and A–list stars. It was renowned for its tight security and privacy
By the time Cynthia and Matthew arrived, Riley and their company were already present. As they approached the private room, Matthew received a call and let Cynthia go in first.
“Cyn, come here!”
“Cynthia!”
Both Riley and Jinny greeted her warmly. Cynthia joined Riley and Gabry, glancing at Linus and Alex while recalling the words Mitchell had shared with her earlier, She wanted to inquire, to test the waters, but decided the setting was not quite right.
“Cynthia, you should sit over here. These three are all family men. We, singles, need to maintain our distance from them,” Jimmy beckoned, providing his reasoning
“Do not hump me in with them. I’m single now lon.”
“You split up?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“What else could it be? Alley must have scared them off with his fierceness”
“Few can withstand Riley when be starts throwing punches.”
A wave of gossip swept arross the group. Cynthia was also intrigued, particularly since the subject was her close friend. “What happened?” she asked
