Chapter 558
Chapter 558
However, Cynthia believed Joshua was feeling guilty rather than love. During the one–month cooling– off period after their divorce, they were unhappy, filled with endless arguments and misunderstandings.
Given Joshua’s personality, Cynthia believed that he would want to make amends once he truly realized the situation. Perhaps their time on Queneska island was his way of making amends.
Unable to figure it out completely, Cynthia decided to stop dwelling on it. Whether it was love or guilt, it no longer mattered.
A dreamless night passed.
The following day, Cynthia woke up to some commotion in the living room. She rubbed her still groggy head, dressed, and opened the door.
As she walked into the living room and saw someone bustling around the dining table, she froze.
What was happening? Had Joshua recovered?
As if sensing Cynthia’s presence, Joshua arranged the breakfast, appearing excited. “Good morning! I made breakfast. Would you like to try it?”
Cynthia approached the table in a daze and looked at the sumptuous breakfast. “Did you make all of this?”
“Yeah!” Joshua smiled.
Cynthia pursed her lips. “What time did you wake up?”
“Five o’clock, I didn’t know what you liked to eat, so I made a little bit of everything.” Joshua admitted with his eyes shining brightly,
Cynthia wanted to tell him not to worry about these things as he was a child, but she realized that Joshua was not really at child. In the end, she simply asked. “Did Sean teach you how to cook?”
“No.”
“Then how did you know how to cook?”
“I don’t know, I went to the kitchen, and I just knew,” Joshua spoke honestly.
Cynthia frowned, saying, “You don’t have to wake up so early to make breakfast anymore. If you’re hungry, just let me know, and I’ll prepare something for you.”
For a brief moment, she hoped that Joshua had regained his memories and mental abilities. However, based on the dishes in front of her, she was certain that everything he had said earlier was true.
After being married for two years, she had eaten breakfasts and meals he had cooked, so she knew his cooling habits and how he presented his dishes.
This… really was a breakfast made by a child. This material belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
However, this was a child with extraordinary culinary talent.
“Mm…” The light in Joshua’s eyes faded gradually
Cynthia was still looking at the dishes and did not pay attention. “Hrum?”
“Do you not like these breakfast dishes?” Joshua pursed his lips, his eyes growing dim.
He just wanted to help Cynthia with some things and make her like him a little bit more. Yet, it seemed like he had messed up.
“That’s not it. I just wanted you to sleep a little longer and not have to make breakfast,” Cynthia reassured him, thinking about his amnesia.
“I’m not tired. If you don’t mind, I can make breakfast for you every morning,” Joshua quickly responded, and the light reignited in his dimming eyes.
“You really don’t have to. Be a good kid,” Cynthia insisted.
Joshua wanted to argue, but he feared that saying too much would make Cynthia unhappy. In the end, he just muttered, “Okay.
“Go ahead and eat. I’ll freshen up and join you soon,” Cynthia tried to comfort him.
“Okay.”
Although he said that, Joshua only started eating when Cynthia joined him. Throughout the breakfast, he observed Cynthia, noticing which dishes she ate more and which ones she ate less.
He had it all figured out.
Whatever Cynthia liked to eat, he would make it for her in the future.
After finishing breakfast, Cynthia asked Joshua to play while she washed the dishes. Once she finished these tasks, she informed Matthew and Moe that she would not be going to the office today.
