Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money

Chapter 80

Chapter 80

“I haven’t received a response from them. It’s probably hard to catch,” Joshua said with a deepening gaze. He never expected Jayleen’s situation to be so complicated. “Although we have recordings and chat logs, if they insist it was just a joke, it’s hard

to fault.”

“Is it necessary for us to be called out here for such a small matter? Just let the bodyguards protect Jayleen.” Chyler poured a glass of wine and exuded a mischievous vibe.

That was how he saw it.

Joshua said all these things because he feared the mastermind would target Jayleen again.

Yiordan also spoke up, “Are you really planning to divorce Cynthia?”

Joshua and Chyler both looked at him in confusion.

“What are you talking about?” Chyler raised an eyebrow lazily and leaned against the sofa. “Now that his lover has returned, why wouldn’t he want to divorce Cynthia? Was he supposed to let someone else make Jayleen happy?”

“This is not a child’s game of playing house.” Yiordan thought there was a problem with Joshua’s approach and wanted to point it out as a friend. “If you’re divorcing Cynthia only because Jayleen has returned, I can’t support it.”

Before Joshua could respond, Chyler interrupted, “Are you okay, Yiordan? Have you lost it?”

“You two have always had a stable relationship, proving you’re compatible. Have you thought about whether you like Jayleen for who she is or just for the feeling of the past?” Yiordan continued, ignoring Chyler’s remark.

Sometimes, being unable to let go of a relationship was not because you still loved that person but because you cared about the part of yourself that gave in that relationship.

“Do you really know her well?” Joshua suddenly asked.

Yiordan could not keep up with the pace. “What do

you mean?”

“When you said Cynthia and I were compatible…?” Joshua’s words carried a hint of chilliness, clearly indicating that he was not in a good state. “The past two years of marriage seemed peaceful and loving, but that was just her pretending.”

Yiordan became more confused.

Joshua stood up and became angry at the mention of Cynthia. “Since we filed for divorce, she has exposed her true nature, her personality is completely opposite to before.”

and

“Are you sure you won’t regret divorcing her?” Yiordan asked, looking at him with his warm eyes. As his friend, he could tell that Joshua treated Cynthia differently than others.

Joshua was not a person who wore his heart on his sleeve, but he would easily be triggered when it came to Cynthia.

Joshua thought Yiordan’s comment was funny, and he asked, “Why would I regret it?”Têxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

“Cynthia is a special girl.”

Yiordan did not quite know how to explain it, but that was all he said.

“What you all see is what she wants you to see. I know what kind of person she really is better than anyone,” Joshua retorted.

Why did everyone think he would regret it? He knew Cynthia much better than they did.

Yiordan did not answer him.

Then, Joshua repeated, “I won’t regret getting a divorce.”

It was as if he was telling Yiordan again but also reminding himself.

Yiordan would just wait until Joshua regretted it and tried to win over Cynthia.

Then again, Joshua probably would not even have the chance.

Thinking this, Yiordan gave Joshua a friendly warning, “It’s best not to regret it. Based on my short time with Cynthia, she’s not one to go back on her decision. Since one of you won’t turn back and the other won’t regret it, it’s best to go your separate ways.”

Joshua was speechless.

Was Yiordan intentionally trying to provoke him?
