Chapter 45 - I Will Handle This
Chapter 45 - I Will Handle This
Wang Shen Ze stared at them furiously and before he could even speak a word, Lin Wen Xin walked back into dining hall.
However, she vaguely felt that the atmosphere wasn’t quite right.
None of the servants dared to move away from their positions and all of them looked at him with fear in their eyes.
Lin Wen Xin raised her eyebrows as she turned to look at Wang Shen Ze, indirectly asking him “what was going on?”.
“Have more food.” He placed some dishes on her plate instead of replying to her prompting.
Since he did not want to say it, she didn’t force him as well. Lin Wen Xin then carried on with her breakfast and they had quickly left the house for work.
Because of her father’s passing, the employees of Lin Corporation have also come to know of Lin Wen Xin’s background. The company has also changed their leader overnight.
Wang Shen Ze instructed the driver to send her to work first before heading to his company.
The “clocking” sound of the high heels have repeatedly filled the entire corridor and eventually stopped in front of the large auditorium.
Today, over 200 employees were gathered here to witness the official handover of the company to a new boss.
The senior director led the way as he went on stage and introduced her to the large crowd. “Let’s give a round of applause to welcome the new chairman of Lin Corporation, Ms Lin Wen Xin!”
Lin Wen Xin went up on stage and greeted everyone with an opening speech. She has also humbly requested for them to guide her along the way as the company continues to move forward in the future.
As she is still interested in doing fashion design and is lacking in experience on the business aspect, Wang Shen Ze has agreed to step in as the main advisor of the company.
Wang Shen Ze has also sent in one of his trusted man, Jiang Zheng, who is now the Vice-Chairman of Lin Corporation.
Bringing along his expertise, Jiang Zheng would be working closely with Lin Wen Xin to manage the company.
The moment she entered her new office, she received an incoming call. “Hello, Nanny Liang, you are looking for me?”
“Yes Madam, Young Master has just ordered me to replace every single servant in the house before both of you reach home later.” Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.
“Madam, what should I do? All of them do not wish to leave and are in tears now. Many of them still have to feed their family at home.”
Lin Wen Xin listened and then probed, “Did he mention why he wanted them to leave?”
“No Madam, Young Master did not mention it to me.”
“Alright, don’t fire them yet. Get them to rest for the day. I will handle this when I get back later.”
Even though the servants had not treated her well before, she could still see that each of them worked very hard in ensuring that their job is done well.
And of course, Lin Wen Xin is not someone who would hold grudges. In fact, the servants have also started to appreciate her good character and are genuinely fond of her.
...
Lin Wen Xin had just knocked off from work and saw that Wang Shen Ze was already waiting for her downstairs. She quickened her steps and walked towards him excitedly.
Wang Shen Ze opened his arms to embrace her, and gave her a light peck on her lips.
Only now could she fully understand how difficult it is to manage a company. She wondered how Wang Shen Ze is able to successfully do it all by himself...
He is truly incredible!
When they got into the car, Lin Wen Xin bent forward and rubbed on her ankles. She had been running around the entire day in her pair of heels and her legs are already starting to hurt.
Wang Shen Ze took notice of what she was doing and told her to lean back while he helped to massage her lower legs.
Lin Wen Xin knows that he had also worked very hard for the day. She quickly stopped him and gave him a short massage on his back as well.
They soon cuddled together at the backseat and Lin Wen Xin had unknowingly fallen asleep.
Seeing that she is so tired, Wang Shen Ze did not wake her up but instead, carried her into the villa.
The minute he entered, he noticed the familiar rows of servants standing respectfully at the side.
Wang Shen Ze stopped right in front of them, with Lin Wen Xin still sleeping in his arms. He frowned and shot Nanny Liang with a look before heading up to the bedroom.
He was obviously displeased but he wanted to tuck Lin Wen Xin into bed first, before he returned to the living room again.
Wang Shen Ze sat down on the sofa, while all the servants stood in front of him in an orderly manner.
“Explain!” He raised his voice at Nanny Liang who is standing right in the middle.
“Young Master, I’m very sorry.” Nanny Liang really did not know how to explain herself to him.
It was indeed her fault that she had failed to carry out his instructions and she could only look at him with deep remorse.
Hearing that, Wang Shen Ze nodded his head and ordered Nanny Liang without hesitation, “You are now fired together with all of them. Pack up your stuffs and leave.”
“Young Master...”
“Wait!!” Lin Wen Xin ran down the stairs, just in time to hear what he had said to them.
Wang Shen Ze straightaway stood up and went to her side as he noticed that she had come down barefooted.
Why didn’t she wear her home slippers? The weather is already so cold, does she want to fall sick again?
However, Lin Wen Xin is not in the mood to care about these trivial details as she has a battle to fight.
Wang Shen Ze already knew that she would defend them, which was why he had specially ordered Nanny Liang in private.
He had also witnessed how the servants had treated her disrespectfully in the past, yet he had turned a blind eye to it at that time.
But right now, things are different!
Since she is officially his woman, he would not tolerate anyone who has once treated her as a pushover.
She deserves the same level of respect as him, and no one should treat her less than how he is being treated!
Therefore, Wang Shen Ze had made a firm decision in the morning to hire a brand new team of workers so that she would never be mistreated again.
But... as soon as he heard what Lin Wen Xin had said to him later, he was rendered speechless.
“I was the one who told Nanny Liang to keep all of them. You can blame me instead for asking her to disobey your orders.”
