Chapter 139 Emily’s Home
Chapter 139 Emily’s Home
“Thanks, Megan.” Sarah laughed and revealed a standard smile.
Megan’s eyes were very warm and she stroked Sarah’s head, “What’s there to thank, silly girl, this is
our duty.”
Laughter.
Sarah laughed at her and then ate the porridge.
The porridge had some mushrooms and minced meat. It was delicious.
Sarah was certain that the mushroom was wild. It was very fragrant.
“Just woke up?”
At this moment, Grandpa walked in from the corner and saw that Sarah was having porridge and he
frowned very slightly.
She felt slightly guilty and she put down the spoon in her hand. She still had a trace of porridge at the
corner of her mouth.
“Go ahead and eat, you just woke up?”
“Yes, I feel very tired today and didn’t go to the office.”
She answered and then continued to eat the porridge.
“That’s alright, I already said don’t bother going, you just won’t listen.”
Grandpa leaned onto his walking stick and walked slowly on his own and said, “Eat more when you are
hungry. You must eat even if you don’t feel like it. The child is in your abdomen.”
“I understand. I’m eating right now.”
She savors each mouthful of the delicious porridge.
Megan looked at the silly and yet obedient look and laughed to herself and then excused herself.
“Is there anything out of the ordinary?”
“No, it’s all very well.” She strokes her abdomen and feels well.
“That’s good.”
Grandpa’s face was relieved.
“How about we have the doctor over to give you a checkup after you finish your porridge?”
Sarah hesitated for a moment because the equipment was better at the hospital.
After she pondered, she will have to go for the initial checkup. Rather than making the trip, it would be
far more convenient if this can be done at home.
“Okay grandpa, please have the doctor come over.”
“Okay, have your breakfast and I’ll have someone make the call.”
“Okay.”
Sarah finishes the porridge when the phone rang again.
“Hello?”
She was curious who it was because it was registered as an unknown number. She had no other
means of knowing who it was.
Initially, it was a garbled noise and then an anxious voice came over, “Sarah, you there? Help me out.”
It’s Emily.
“Aren’t you going out today? How do you have the time to call me?”
“Sarah, can you please go immediately to my place and help me take my passport? I don’t have the
time already and can only trouble you.”
Emily was direct and stated what she required.
“You didn’t take your passport?”
Sarah was conflicted as she doesn’t know where she stayed.
“Yes, my memory is failing me. Last night I remember placing it into my bag but when I was looking for
my passport, I can’t find it. Sarah, I just remembered, it must be at the bedside table. I forgot to put it
into the luggage.”
“How long do you have?” NôvelDrama.Org holds this content.
“Forty minutes. The airport is about an hour from my place. I definitely can’t make a trip back to pick it
up. Please get my passport to the airport, okay?”
She hesitated and was very conflicted.
A few minutes later, “Okay, I’m on my way.”
When Sarah was about to leave, the bodyguard stopped her. After she explained, she brought a
bodyguard along with her.
Sarah went to the address that Emily gave her.
In WQ Villa.
This was the first-grade high-end residence in H city. It cost at least tens of millions.
The environment is beautiful, calm, convenient, comfortable.
Sarah instructed the bodyguard to remain with the car. Emily told her that she can enter with the
number combination.
Tower 9 level 9 and she entered 1128 and the door opened.
Although the level of luxury and price can’t be compared to the European Scenery Residences, if living
conditions were considered, it was better.
This suits Emily’s needs very well.
Sarah entered and she immediately noticed a pair of man’s leather bedroom slippers.
What she didn’t expect was the pair of pink woman’s slippers and the man’s was a couple’s set.
As she walked in, she closed the door.
This was only a pair, she can simply ignore it.
She continues inwards and she only wanted to take the passport and leave.
But as she stepped in, she was attracted by something in the room.
All her blood coagulates at her fingertips and her head, her feet. She didn’t enter nor leave.
The way it was decorated, how should it be described, at Andrew’s place, it was black and grey. But
over here, it was white, blue and red. Warm color combinations. No matter how you looked at it, there
was a huge difference in the style between the two…
She simply couldn’t ignore what she saw.
She felt nauseous.
Sarah suddenly felt nauseous. It must be the porridge that didn’t digest properly.
She looked for the bathroom and sees the same glass door design as the European Scenery
residences. She rushed in and true enough, she started to dry wrench and spit out sour saliva.
Sarah held onto her chest and her abdomen started to contract. She continues to spasm and vomit
intermittently.
She vomited till she almost didn’t have the strength to stand up. She braced herself against the
makeup mirror. She struggled against her weak limbs and barely straightened herself. Her eyes were
dull and she lifted her eyes and turned on the water. Looking at the washbasin, a black toothbrush,
toothpaste, cup, an electric razer used by man placed casually. It looked used. All of it was used by
someone.
There were some signs of rust on the electric razor.
Sarah’s strength started to disintegrate.
The toothbrush, toothpaste, washing accessories, were all branded.
Could she say that Andrew has the same set of washing and brushing accessories?
In fact, it was he who changed the set that she was using now, the same set that she was looking at
now.
Sarah suddenly felt that it was laughable. Her gaze stopped and she recalls Andrew asking her to
change the set that she was using to the current set. What was the meaning of that?
So what Emily was using, those that were in her luggage, toothbrush, and toothpaste, were likely to be
the same as hers?
She felt disgusted throughout her body.
The shaving razor rusted and the stagnant water dripped over her hand.
She placed them back to its original position. Sarah turned to leave the bathroom.
There was only one bedroom.
She held onto the doorknob and for reasons unknown, she wasn’t as calm as she was when entering
the main door or the bathroom.
She admitted that it was like her heart fell into an abyss and into a swamp. She couldn’t find a source
for strength to support. It was very empty, very empty, and perplexed. She took a deep breath and
Sarah clenched her fists all the while telling herself that it didn’t matter. All these are no longer
important.
