Chapter 895 Vivian
Vivian also took into account the inappropriateness of the place. Fortunately, Arno was not here so her mood improved a little, and she didn’t want to cry anymore.
Renita handed her a wet tissue from her bag. Vivian also found a small mirror from the bag and looked at it, and suddenly felt a little disgusted with himself.
The place where she stayed faced the wall, and Renita was blocking her way, so she could touch up her makeup without having to worry about others watching. She wiped her face with a damp tissue before putting on light makeup. After she put on makeup and straightened her hair.
“Do I look better now?” She asked, looking at Renita.
Renita nodded with satisfaction, “As long as you don’t cry anymore, it’s fine.”
The celebration banquet ended at ten o’clock. Others had gone home and Vivian and Renita were the remaining few along with a couple more. When Renita was ready, Vivian just went out of the room only to find Mr. Titus standing at the door.
Vivian asked: “Mr. Titus, do you have anything else to do? Are you waiting for someone? Everyone is almost gone.”
Mr. Titus just stared at her. “I don’t trust you to go home alone.”
Vivian was a little nervous. “Well, no need to worry. I came with Renita and she’ll be the one escorting me home.”
Mr. Titus’ eyes fell on the quiet Renita beside him.
Renita said quickly, “Yeah, she had quite a few glasses of wine, and I don’t trust her to go back alone as well.”
Even if Vivian had only two glasses of wine, Renita was worried. Fortunately, she came with Vivian, otherwise, she was sure many people would have persuaded her to drink, after the encounter she had with Arno.
Originally, Mr. Titus wanted to send Vivian back, especially since she was in a bad mood. But looking at Renita who seemed like one who would be very watchful and defensive, Mr. Titus held back those words.
“That’s good, then you can go back then.”
After Mr. Titus finished speaking, he turned and left.
Seeing that Mr. Titus had left, Vivian let out a sigh.
“Look how good Mr. Titus is,” Renita blurted out. “why do you want to kill yourself over a man who abandons you when it counts the most.”
Renita was not optimistic about Vivian wanting to be with Arno, even with the hatred from her supposed future mother-in-law. She didn’t see what was worth fighting for.
Not expecting Renita to say such a thing, Vivian glared at her. “Don’t talk nonsense.”
Renita scoffed, “You don’t listen to me anyway.”
The two went out of the hotel and got into the waiting car.
Meanwhile, Arno, who had been waiting for Vivian around the corner, saw Mr. Titus talking to Vivian and he was a little jealous. When only Vivian and Renita were left in the hotel lobby, he didn’t leave
either.
When Vivian and Renita returned to the car, Vivian burst into tears. Vivian sat in the rear with Renita in the passenger seat.
The sobbing startled Renita. The driver also looked at her strangely. How could she cry so miserably when she came back from a celebration banquet?
“Why are you crying again?” Renita asked.
Vivian said to Renita while crying and burping: “Am I not allowed to cry there?”
But that was not near what was bothering her. Where was Arno now? Did he take Ms. Stark back home? Were they still together now? Those were the pressing questions that kept running through her mind.
Meanwhile, Arno stood watching Renita’s car. He knew that if he didn’t talk to Vivian at that moment, he would not be happy with himself. He sighed and chased after them.
Arno knocked on the window and Renita saw him. She took a glance and saw that Vivian was crying so she simply opened the car door, thinking that it was best he consoled her.
The door opened and Arno heard Vivian’s cry. Arno sat next to Vivian and drew a tissue and handed it to Vivian to wipe her tears.
“Why are you crying?”
Vivian took off the tissue in his hand, irritatedly.
“It’s all because of you!” She said amidst sobs.
Arno sighed. He then proceeded to put his arms around her shoulders, and said softly, “Don’t cry, I feel bad when I see you crying.”
“Your mom…”
Arno brushed Vivian’s hair and kissed her forehead, cutting her off.
“Don’t worry about her.”
Arno explained to her what had happened before. He told Vivian he didn’t know it was a blind date and was tricked by his mother. If he knew it was a blind date, he wouldn’t have come.
“I already have you, so why would I go on a date?” Arno said with pleading tears.
“But your mother doesn’t like me,” Vivian said worriedly.
Vivian could not imagine a marriage without the blessing of one’s parents. She wanted to be with Arno, the kind that would last forever.
Arno understood her fears and told Vivian about his promise to his parents. He had made a pact with his parents that as long as he established his career, his parents would let him marry her. Vivian was a little relieved. After all, she had a lot of confidence in Arno.
“Okay, let’s work together,” Vivian said, holding Arno’s hand, her eyes sparkling.

However, Vivian didn’t like Sileas even though she knew that marriage was not a matter of two individuals, but two families.
Vivian thought only about herself and Arno and did not provoke the relationship between Arno and his parents. So why did Sileas think ill of her? Was her son’s happiness less important than glory and wealth?
Thinking of this, Vivian pouted, knowing that Sileas would be a difficult mother-in-law when she eventually got married to Arno. Vivian didn’t want to treat her son that way. The mere thought of having a son with Arno, she blushed. She immediately shook off the wild ideas in his mind.
Seeing Vivian’s strange movements, Arno patted her hair gently. He took wet wipes and helped her wipe off all the makeup on her face.
