Chapter 823
Chapter 823
Chapter 823 She is capable
After a while, police and more than twenty men from the moving company arrived at Hayley’s home.
When Hayley saw them, she quickly closed the door. She opened the window and shouted at them, “I
never said I wouldn’t move. I need time!”
“I’m sorry. The landlord gave you plenty of time to move out. We’re here to clean and prepare for the
next tenant.”
By the time Hayley answered, those workers had already dismantled the door, barged in, and begun
throwing out Hayley’s belongings.
Hayley tried desperately to stop them but was pushed out of the way. “What are you doing? You can’t
do this!” she screamed.
“Ma’am, we can. You have no rights here. You were given notice and refused to leave, “one of the
movers explained.
All Hayley could do was call the police, but the movers did not stop. By the time the police arrived, they
were almost done.
The police came forward to understand the situation, and Hayley made up and distorted the facts.
“I live here. The landlord is throwing out my belongings without giving me a proper eviction notice,”
Hayley lied.
“Aren’t you that entertainer that was in those nude pictures?” the police officer asked.
Hayley nodded and said, “It’s me.”
“Well, someone reported you for trespassing on his house,” the police officer stated.
Hayley gaped at the police officer. Melissa had covered herself in every way. There was no way to get
back at her. She had fallen into all of her traps.
Hayley cried to the police, “You can’t treat me like this, you can’t be so unconscionable.”
After all of her belongings were moved out, the property was locked.
Hayley’s hatred for Melissa grew as she looked at her belongings strewn across the front yard.
“Make sure to get your belongings out of the front yard immediately. You’ll negatively affect the
community,” the police officer said while writing Hayley a warning.
“This is the first time you’ve been so cruel to a person, from asking for 2 million dollars to finding a
reporter to humiliate her, and kicking her out,” Murray stated. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
“Why do you feel bad for her?” Melissa asked.
“What are you talking about? How could I feel bad for such a person who wronged you?” Murray
hugged her from the back.
“I thought you blamed me for being too hard on her, don’t forget what she did to me back then!” Melissa
stated. She would always strike mercilessly at anyone that dared to pursue her husband. “I could’ve
cared less about that girl,” Murray stated as he snuggled her.
Hayley didn’t have enough money to put her belongings in storage. She had no choice but to throw
them into the trash. She only kept her jewelry.
Hayley had used all the money she had earned in the past few days in order to climb to a higher
position, but she had nothing to show for it.
She decided to sell all the jewels.
“I want to sell it all,” Hayley said to the appraiser at the jewelry store.
The appraiser took her jewelry and began evaluating them.
After a while, the appraiser came back, the smile she had before was replaced with a contemptuous
glare. “I’m sorry ma’am. Your jewelry is fake. All of it is worthless.”
Hayley froze. “You’re mistaken, these are all valuable things, how can they be worthless?”
“We’ve already identified it. Your jewelry is indeed worthless. It is not even real gold. The jewelry was
painted gold. Could you not tell?”
Hayley recalled that all this jewelry was given to her by Sam, and there were identification certificates.
Hayley took out these certificates again and hurriedly explained to the appraiser, “You see clearly, I
have all these certificates, and I have never lied to anyone.”
“These certificates are all fake at first glance. There are no anti- counterfeiting labels and no certificate
codes. You are so old, can’t you even distinguish these?” the appraiser questioned, surprised at
Hayley’s stupidity.
It had cost her a lot of money to get into a relationship with Sam. She invested millions of dollars. She
thought it would bring her a stable future and make her a little more popular, but all she had was junk.
“Okay, okay!” Hayley’s last patience was worn out.
Before leaving, Hayley heard the appraiser whispering to someone, “Remember that entertainer,
Hayley…yeah… she came over with fake jewelry trying to deceive me.”
At this moment Hayley didn’t choose to refute it because she knew it was useless.
Hayley went to multiple jewelry stores, but they all told her the same thing. The jewelry was fake.
Hayley scraped together some money and rented a room at an extended stay hotel. She couldn’t afford
anything else. Hayley wasn’t going to admit defeat and called Mrs. Gibson.
“I need some more money, it’s not enough.” Hayley started asking for money on the phone.
The person on the other end of the phone was even more aggrieved, “I have already given you all of
my own funds. There is nothing left.”
“You have to get more money, otherwise I can’t help you! Don’t forget that we still have a contract. You
wouldn’t want me to tell Murray about how you set all this up,” Hayley warned. Hearing this, Mrs.
Gibson hesitated for a long time before saying, “I’ll think of a way.”
