Chapter 869
Chapter 869 Internal energy to hospital
As soon as the Dewar family’s parents saw Vivian’s figure, they immediately asked Arno to change the
channel. They are so disgusted with Vivian that they were no longer willing to let her return to their
lives.
“Why can’t you take her back?” Arno tried to change his parents’ attitude towards Vivian.
“You know why we can’t take her back,” his mother said. The attitude of Jin’s parents was clear: they
would not give in.
“She has worked very hard now, and she has been able to return to the public eye. She has put in a lot
of effort. You can try to see the changes she has made,” Arno pointed out.
The relationship between Vivian and the Dewar family’s parents seems to have reached rock bottom
and nothing could be done to salvage it. Arno was now in a dilemma. He had not contacted Vivian for a
long time, and he does not want her to drift away alone.
“Son these few days, you have been at home for this woman, and you have been on the line with us.
Do you think we can accept such a person? She is not suitable to be our daughter-in-law!”
Arno sighed helplessly and decided to start with his father. “I’m going upstairs to find my father.”
“Don’t go to your dad, it will not make any difference. In this family, I have the final say!”
In Sileas eyes, Vivian was a bad person and she was resolute not to allow such a person to be married
into their family.
“Mom, what do you want me to say to convince you? Before you cared nothing about her because of Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.
her unstable work, and more because of her troubles. But look at her now. She’s changed recently.”
“Even if she changes, her heart will not change. Have you forgotten how she got to where she was in
the first place?” Sileas asked.
Arno really wanted to have a good talk with his mother, but when he remembered that his mother was
not in good health, he could only persuade her with good words. “You don’t understand what’s going on
between us! Why is it that hard for you to accept that I love Vivian?”
In fact, Arno had already wanted to reconcile with Vivian, but he was yet to make up his mind. How
could he have the confidence to go back to Vivian with his mother yet to give her consent to their
relationship?
“Whatever!” Sileas snapped and went straight upstairs. She didn’t place her legs correctly on one of the
steps and she slipped, stumbling backwards.
Arno hurried forward to help her up but Sileas had already fainted on the ground. Arno hurriedly called
his father and took her to the hospital. After a doctor’s full examination, they were addressed
“She shouldn’t have been provoked. Her blood pressure is high and a highly stressful situation could
cause her to be unconscious.”
Arno sighed at the doctor’s words. He thanked the doctor and told him to leave the ward. He waited for
quite a while before Sileas woke up, and when she saw her son, she frowned. “If you have to find that
woman and pleas with her, so not try to step foot with her into the door of my Dewar family, unless I will
strangle her myself.”
Arno wanted to argue something but was stopped by his father’s eyes. He could only leave the ward
and sit at the door. The more he thought about it, the more aggrieved he felt. He stared at the phone
number of Vivian in the address book, but he was too scared to call her.
After staring at that number for about an hour, Arno finally summoned up his courage and shot her a
call. He had already thought about what he wanted to say and as the phone rang, all the words went
through his mind. After a while of ringing, the line beeped and he was transferred to Vivian’s voicemail.
He tried the number many more times but it was either picked up by her assistant or he was directed to
her voicemail.
At first, Arno thought she was filming and might not have time to answer the phone so he waited. While
caring for his mother in the hospital, he went out and called Vivian from time to time. But when nothing
changed, he was unable to bear the silence and drove down to Melissa’s company where he was
placed in the conference room.
Melissa, on the other hand, was already busy and tired. The company’s benefits during that period
were very good and to maintain this firm, Melissa knew that the entire company, with no exception to
her, had to put in double their efforts, and she made sure they did just that.
Melissa looked at the surveillance cameras in the conference room and noticed Amo Dewar sitting in
one of the leather seats. He was the last person she had expected to see today and was not pleased
that he came around. Besides, how was she supposed to treat such a man who couldn’t handle his
own family or make his woman’s people happy?
Melissa hesitated, but eventually got up and went to the conference room.
“Sorry to keep you waiting,” she apologized with a smile.
Arno didn’t care about her timing but was happy she had come to see him. The assistant walked in and
got a cup of coffee and put it on her table.
“Why did you pay me a visit?” Melissa asked, hitting the bruk
“I haven’t been able to get in touch with Vivian these days, do you know where she could go?” Arno
asked, feeling anxious.
“She’s in one of the films!” Melissa replied.
Vivian had finally met the film circle and received a role that could
explode. Not wanting to give up this opportunity, she had begun work in earnest. Even the break time
was given up by Vivian and she used the spare time to acquaint herself with her script. Arno finally felt
relieved when he heard this.
“If you feel bad for what you did to her and want to get her back, you have to clean up everything in
your family first. If not, do you think she will listen to whatever you have to say?” Melissa advised,
seeing that Arno was sincere with his intentions. Otherwise, he wouldn’t come over unannounced and
ask her the whereabouts of Vivian.
“To tell you the truth, I have hospitalized my mother for speaking badly about Vivian,” he said, slightly
ashamed.
The so-called mother-in-law did not like her daughter-in-law. Melissa could relate to the situation, yet
she felt Arno could have done better than hurt his mother.
“Take good care of your mother. After all, she’s the person who raised you. If a woman is gone, you can
get another. But. If your mother is gone, there is no replacement.”
“I will definitely give Vivian a home, a safe home for the two of us and both her and my mother will not
be disappointed in me anymore,” Arno announced, having been touched by Melissa’s words.
