Chapter 475 His Weakness
Chapter 475 His Weakness
Daniel’s barely compressed anger was ignited after he received a call from an unknown man who
mocked him.
Then he started thinking about other question after he restored his composure.
How William knew it when they kept it at a secret to distract William and his fellow men. Most of the
men who got involved were unfamiliar to him, except for Bob and Kevin.
He suddenly thought of the word traitor.
Daniel gritted and was determined to find out who the traitor was.
In the car, William was looking through the booklet with a snigger on his face.
“Finally, I got the evidences without much effort. I can have a rest for a few days.” Joe leaned
backward, stretching his arms.
William narrowed his eyes, “This is just a start!”
“What do you mean?” Joe sat straight as he heard what William just said.
William threw the booklet at him, “It’s not enough to overthrow Alan.”
Kevin didn’t check it well. It was a scattered record of the mistakes Alan had made when he was on
duty. But they had been hidden for a long time.
Even if it was present in the court, it was far from enough. And they would find it incomplete if they
decided to make an investigation about it.
Most likely, he would only be suspended for a period of time.
“So we spent so much effort on something useless?” Joe opened his eyes wide as he looked through
the booklet.
William squinted and cast a glance at the booklet.
His brain was running quickly.
“Now you go and keep Six-ear under our men’s supervision, and ask him where did he put the thing he
obtained from Alan.” William said in a low voice.
“There’s something else?” Grace, who had been quiet before, suddenly cast William a surprised
glance.
William nodded, “I’m pretty sure about it.”
“So what should we do now? We just let him go and allow him to be prepared?” Grace asked.
William shook his head, “Go to the police station first.”
Let him go? Impossible!
He had finally found the protector of the Shen Family. If he could not root them out this time, there
would soon be another Shen Family if this one fell.
Daniel was never his only target.
Half an hour later, William left the police station with a somber face.
The chief of the police stood behind him, smiling coyly. He wiped the sweat on his forehead and was
frightened.
He was just a chief of this city’s police bureau. He could not afford the consequences of offending these
moguls.
“William? Why are you here?” Alan walked towards William. He seemed surprised when he saw
William.
William put on a cold smile and narrowed his eyes at Alan.
There was sadness in Alan’s eyes. “You came at the right time. I had intended to lie to you. But it’s
better if you know of this. Angie... She is missing.”
William said, “You should call the police before it’s too late.”
“You...” Alan frowned, “William, I know there are misunderstandings between Angie and you. But you
too are sworn to each other. She’s you fiancée now. Aren’t you being too cruel to her? She has been
missing you so much that she barely eats!”
“You must have made a mistake. As her friend, I’m sorry to hear about her missing. But I’m just a
lawyer and I think the police will do a better job on finding her. So you’d better resort to the police.” He
then wheeled around with a faint smile.
Alan smiled as he watched them leaving, his eyes gleaming.
He believed he would outwit these young men!
There was silence the moment they got into the car.
After a while, Grace slammed on the wall, “Damn it. What a shameless old bastard. He took all the
credit. Our effort has become a waste!”
“Yeah, he’s fast on this. Before we could spread the word, he called the police with the evidence about
the Shen Family’s fault. He seemed to be the loyal servant while we were like just picking up whatever
that was left. What a shameless man!” Joe clenched his teeth.
In the police station, they heard that Alan had already handed over the evidence of the trade between
Daniel and Eric, which made him seem to be a selfless person who had been investigating the Shen
Family for a long time.
It was obvious that Alan intended to sacrifice the knights in order to save the queen.
However, even if someone noticed his scheme, he could not say anything about it.
Because there was no evidence to prove it.
The proof from Six-ear was not enough to send this man behind the bar. And what was worse was that
they might get into trouble.
This time they were really defeated by Alan, who was so cunning.
“No wonder this cunning fox dared to expose and protect a wanted man. It turns out he wanted Daniel
dead since he kept Six-ear by his side. How ruthless he is!”
William winked, “Where is Angie now?”
Grace went blank for a moment and spoke immediately, “She’s with Sis-ear’s friend who was called
Alex. Rumor has it that this man and Six-ear are even closer than brothers. I assume Six-ear intends to
destroy Angie after he leaves, so you will be in pain.”
After all, during recent days, William acted like he loved that woman very much in front of Six-ears.
“Send someone to investigate this Alex.” Something flashed through William’s mind, but it was so fast
that he could not grasp it.
Alan only had one daughter. Was he not worried about her at all?
No! There was something wrong.
If Alex was not sent by Alan, could it be that he was the person to help Six-ears?
He was willing to live in this city like a dog when he knew that Six-ears would leave with a large amount
of money.
William’s eyes twitched. Then he suddenly turned around, “Let’s go home.”
Joe, who was driving the car, was surprised by the look on William’s face. He felt something wrong. He
turned the steering wheel and drove towards the mansion fast like he was a racing-driver.
It only took half of the usual time for them to get back from the downtown.
William’s heart was beating fast. He swore he would not turn back until he saw her.
“William, the mansion is secured by many men. And Little James is there.” Grace could not help
comforting William.

The mansion was his weakness and if anything happened to it, it was possible that he would not
remain calm.
