Chapter 120

Chapter 120

It was Sieg.

Candice frowned slightly. She had just wanted to tell Jackson that she would head to the parking lot

first when she saw Sleg raise his head.

When he saw Jackson and Candice together, his eyes narrowed as he burst out laughing.

“Oh, Jackson. The reason that you didn’t want to come out after I called you for so long is because of a

woman?” Sleg’s tone wasn’t that disrespectful.

However, Jackson lowered his tone. “Don’t say anything like that, Sieg.”

Sieg shrugged. He really couldn’t care less. He glanced at Candice and raised an eyebrow, saying,

“Candice. when can you give Jackson a confirmation? It’s not suitable for you to simply leave him

hanging like this?”

Candice didn’t change her expression and simply asked, “Since when did I leave him hanging?” This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.

The sneer on Sieg’s face was obvious. However, he didn’t say anything else, as Jackson was still

around.

After a moment, he said, “Fine. If you say you didn’t, you didn’t.”

Only after a few more steps did. Jackson apologize to Candice. “I’m sorry, Candice.”

Candice didn’t even frown. “What does that have to do with you?”

It was not the first time that Sieg acted strange toward her.

Even Candice didn’t know just how she offended Sieg.

It was natural, however. Alex didn’t take her seriously, so his friends naturally wouldn’t.

When Candice thought of that, she let out a self–deprecating smile. She was the one that wanted to

force herself into his social circle.

Jackson left after dropping Candice at the hospital. He still had something to do at home.

In the ward, Joe had just gone asleep. Candice wiped his face and then went home after telling the

nurses a few more words.

However, she was only halfway there when she picked up Alex’s call.

There were only four icy words from him. “Come pick me up.”

Candice frowned. She stopped the car by the roadside before calling Alex again.

It rang for a very long time before Alex picked it up.

There was impatience in his tone. “What is it?”

Candice paused and asked, “Where are you?”

“Verdant Glades.” Alex was in a terrible mood. After he was done, he hung up.

415 BOHOS

And Candice knew why.

The Elysians‘ homestead was in the neighborhood called the Verdant Glades, Dantel had taken Alex

back to their family estate

So, the reason that Kayla said Alex was looking for her was probably him wanting to have her handle

Helen and Daniel

She knew it. When Alex thought of her, it was always for something troublesome,

Candice sat for a while in her car before stepping on the uas and turning the car around, heading

toward Verdant Glades.

The moment she stepped through the door, she could already see Alex silling on the sola with an Icy

lace.

Helen and Daniel were sitting opposite him, their expressions similarly cold.

When they heard Candice, Alex raised his eyes and his eyes were fixed on her for a moment.

Then, he stood up and, with little expression, said, “Let’s go.”

Helen had also seen Candice. But she had never liked her, so she looked away after glancing at her.

Candice followed Alex out. She could smell the scent of wine on him. She got into the driver’s seat.

Alex didn’t mind it. He closed his eyes after he got into the car. A faint scent of wine and cedar

surrounded him, and they all floated into Candice’s nose.

Nothing happened on their way back.

Only when the car parked in the basement did Alex open his eyes.
