Remarried?

However, it was not her.

It was Clyde, the housekeeper of the villa. He opened the door and said, “Mr. Webster, you are back.”

Nathaniel’s eyes sank. “Yes,” said he.

Clyde stopped. He was clear about what had happened at the wedding.

Nathaniel and Anastasia should have been in the Webster Mansion if the wedding had gone well.

Apparently, it didn’t go well,

so he rushed back.

Looking at the cigar and the disheveled clothes and sensing his depravation, Clyde was worried.

“Mr. Webster, I understand it’s been a long day.”

Clyde hadn’t seen Nathaniel like that for many years and was worried. He hurried to make a cup of hot

drink, trying to relieve

his pressure.

Nathaniel wasn’t as high-spirited as in the past. He sank into the couch in decadence. “Then grandpa

probably knew it too,”

said he.

Grandpa always told her that Anastasia was not a good person. But he was unwilling to believe it but

didn’t expect… He thought his grandpa must be angry.

Clyde couldn’t see his expression clearly and felt terrible for him.

“Since Mrs. Webster… Since Miss Longfellow is the chairman of Longfellow Group, shouldn’t you

remarry? After all, Miss Longfellow has always been sincere to you, but Miss Lambert is two-faced.”

Clyde thoughtfully put forward his thoughts. Although Winifred, Quintina, and Nathaniel didn’t like

Janet, the whole Webster family admired her.

“Mr. Webster, old Mr. Webster always likes Miss Longfellow very much, and Miss Longfellow always

respects him. So…”

Nathaniel felt more depressed when hearing Clyde call Janet Miss Longfellow.

“That’s different.”

He interrupted, rubbed his forehead, and said in a low voice, “Even if Janet married me as the daughter

of the Longfellow family, I don’t like her, and the marriage will not last long. So don’t mention

remarriage to grandpa anymore.”

Clyde sighed. Although he watched Nathaniel grow, he couldn’t understand his thoughts after many

years.

In fact, Clyde felt Nathaniel had feelings for Janet.

But he couldn’t say more because he was just a housekeeper.

“I understand, Mr. Webster. What about Miss Lambert? Old Mr. Webster was furious. And what

happened at today’s wedding may have an impact on the stock price of Webster Group.”

Nathaniel worried, “Is Grandpa alright?”

“Old Mr. Webster is fine. I visited him on the way here. But he’s a little dizzy and out of breath. He’ll be

all right to have some

rest.”

Clyde used a little exaggeration. Actually, there was absolutely nothing wrong with old Mr. Webster.

Old Mr. Webster had prepared to stop the wedding and was ready for all possible things. How could he

fall ill because of that?

Old Mr. Webster asked Clyde to say that. He wanted to make Nathaniel guilty and reflect on what he

had done.

Nathaniel nodded. Then he lowered his head and pondered for a moment, “I’ll visit him after I get things

right. I’ll give him an explanation. Clyde, please help me take care of him.”

“Sure. It’s my duty.”

Clyde was waving his hands to tell Nathaniel not to be polite to him. But his smile disappeared because © 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.

of Nathaniel’s following words.

“Please tell Grandpa that Anastasia is my savior. No matter what, I won’t make things difficult for her.”

Then Nathaniel stood up and walked slowly to the balcony. He looked at the sky full of stars, with a

flickering light around his fingertips.

Clyde hesitated to speak. Although he somewhat disagreed, he had no choice but to sigh and nod.

“Yes. Mr. Webster, you’ve been busy all day and probably haven’t eaten anything. I’ll cook you

something, or you’ll feel uncomfortable on an empty stomach.”

“Okay.” He accepted Clyde’s kindness.

In the Webster Mansion.

After Albert and Alfred had settled the matters, Albert immediately called old Mr. Webster.

“Old Mr. Webster.”

Albert sounded cautious, “Sorry, I didn’t get things done and failed to control the situation. I’ve taken

care of the media. But the reputation of the Webster family… is affected.”

It had a big impact.

Although the wedding was canceled as old Mr. Webster had wished, the price was too high. Albert

couldn’t tell if old Mr. Webster was angry.

Old Mr. Webster was calm and even watered the precious plants that Janet had planted in the yard, “I

saw it. It’s okay. It won’t affect Webster Group. And it’s good to get some things for him to do.”

Albert was relieved when hearing old Mr. Webster’s calm tone.

Albert knew that although old Mr. Webster said he would not attend the wedding, he would watch the

live broadcast since he was his grandson.

Albert doubted, “Old Mr. Webster, Mr. Donahue of Smedley Group supported Miss Longfellow. I wonder

about the relationship between Donahue and Miss Longfellow.”

Old Mr. Webster didn’t mind if someone stood up for Janet. He treated Janet as his granddaughter.

Old Mr. Webster was happy to see someone stand up for Janet, expose Anastasia, and make

Nathaniel realize the reality!

He dealt with the flowering branches leisurely and said, “Jill is not an ordinary girl. I have already seen

it in her three years in the Webster family.”

“Speaking of which, I wonder if Jill knows about that… I’ll call her. I haven’t seen her for many days.

And I miss her food!”
