My Quick-witted Baby (Arabella and Kenneth)

Chapter 478

Chapter 478

Her second attempt to test the poison with her own body had failed and she was already affected by

the Mandala poison. Now, she embarked on the third attempt. Tho types of poisons instantly spread

throughout her body. Her palm-sized face lost its rosy flush and turned ghastly pale. Her legs gave way

and she fell onto the carpet.

Because of the pain, beads of cold sweat formed on her forehead and her vision began to blur. With

trembling fingertips, Arabella quickly opened the medical book left by her mother and flipped it to the

last page.

The last page was about using poison to counteract poison and using blood as medicine.

Under normal circumstances, she would have died on the spot when she embarked on the third

attempt to test the poison with her own body, let alone save Kenneth. However, the last page of this

medical book contained a very mysterious ancient acupuncture manipulation technique, that was,

sealing her vital vessels with gold needles and then extracting a drop of blood from her heart to save

the patient.

It was a forbidden technique of saving the patient's life with the other person's life and it only existed in

legends. Both Arabella and Tyrone had heard of this, but none of them knew how to perform it. Much to

Arabella's surprise, the medical book left by her mother actually contained such an incredible

technique.

Arabella picked up a gold needle and pierced it into her acupoint to temporarily protect her vital

vessels.

Right at this moment, Kenneth's low, deep voice came from the outside. He was calling her, "Bella!

Bella!"

Arabella quickly put away the gold needle and the medical book. She looked at herself in the mirror and

found her face looked very pale. Therefore, she immediately took out her lipstick and lightly applied it to

her lips. Then she dabbed some on her cheeks. In this way, her complexion looked better.

Arabella immediately saw Kenenth when she walked out.

He failed to find her when he came back and was now looking for her anxiously in the corridors.

Arabella wondered when he had gone. Probably because he was too anxious to return home, she

found one of his shoes had fallen off, but he was completely unaware.

He shouted her name again and again.

Arabella's eyes turned red. Would he look for her like this if he found she was missing? Would he

become crazy if he couldn't find her?

No. He wouldn't.

Because she would never leave him alone because the one who was abandoned would suffer the

greatest pain.

Her Kenenth was once abandoned by his own mother. How could she bear to see him being

abandoned again?

She could only abandon herself.

Looking at Kenneth, Arabella curled up her red lips weakly and said, "Mr. Lucero, are you looking for

me? I'm right here?"

Kenenth's tall figure froze when he heard her voice. He quickly turned around, strode toward her, and

pulled her into his arms. His husky voice rang near her ear. "Bella, where did you go? I thought you had

left."

Arabella reached out to pat his back and soothed him as if she was soothing a child, "Mr. Lucero, I

didn't leave. Where did you go just now?"

Kenneth let go of her and took out the things that had been stored in the corner of his clothes. "Bella,

look!"

Arabella looked down and realized that he had been storing something in the corner of his clothes.

Kenneth carefully took the things out with his big hands and presented them to her. His features were

tinged with a tentative, ingratiating smile as he spoke, "Bella, look! You've been wanting a bird's nest,

right? There're three eggs in this nest. Let's hatch them together and raise the little birds."

In his hands was a bird's nest. It turned out that he went out earlier to get the nest for her.

Turbulent emotions surged in Arabella's heart, causing intense pain. She felt as if someone had

crushed her heart and the excruciating pain was very unbearable.
