Chapter 61
Suddenly, the floor lamp next to the sofa turned on, lighting up the dark living room.
Liam was sitting on the sofa, staring at her with a face darker than his pajamas, and his eyes were wide Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
open.
Celeste sat up awkwardly, her face full of embarrassment.
"Mr. Reed, why didn't you turn on the lights in the living room?"
Liam sneered, "The light would be burn my eyes, just like you."
Getting caught talking behind someone's back was indeed a bit awkward, so Celeste let out a dry laugh
and said, "Well, I'll turn off the light, and you can continue to rest?"
She wanted to find a chance to leave, but as soon as she turned around, she heard Liam's voice from
behind.
"Make me pasta.’
Celeste's mouth twitched. Does this guy think she's his servant?
She rolled her eyes, put on a fake smile, and said, "I'll go get Martha."
Liam sneered, "Celeste, do you think you can get five million dollars just by lying around at home? Is
my money that easy to earn?"
Celeste stopped moving, and she gritted her teeth with hatred for Liam, and said, "I'll make you pasta,
whatever kind Mr. Reed wants, I'll make sure you get your money's worth for these five million dollars!"
Liam hummed, "You better."
Turning her back, Celeste started mumbling.
Stingy bastard, acting all high and mighty just because he's too mean to spend money. Eat pasta? Why
don't you eat shit!
Complaining aside, Celeste still went back to the kitchen.
At least after the divorce, she wouldn't have to worry about food and shelter for the rest of her life, and
she could take good care of Caitlyn as well.
With that thought, she felt much better.
In no time, Celeste made two bowls of spaghetti, with cheese, tomato sauce, and a touch of parsley.
"Mr. Reed, the food is ready.” Celeste called Liam, inviting him to eat.
Liam put down his book and walked over, giving her a glance.
Celeste pulled out a chair for him, her face ingratiating, and said, "Mr. Reed, do you want me to feed
you?"
This fake attitude made Liam feel uncomfortable all over, so he said coldly, "Shut up!"
"Alright!"
She was already starving, sat down, picked up her knife and fork, and started eating. She's not elegant
at all.
On the other hand, Liam was quite elegant and polite, and each bite he took was graceful.
Liam was like a precise calculator, whether in behavior or thought, always following his own set of
rules. Celeste had never seen him lose control.
Well, not exactly. The only time he lost control was at their wedding when he left with Sydney.
And it wasn't because of her.
Having long accepted this reality, Celeste wasn't as sad as before.
In the past, she would always nag at the dinner table, but today she was surprisingly quiet.
He couldn't help but say, "Didn't you get to eat when you were outside?"
Celeste's eye twitched. What, is he complaining about her eating manners now?
She forced a smile and said, "I ate very well when I was outside. On the contrary, I often don't get
enough to eat in your house.” Liam looked at her puzzled.
