My Rich Hot and Infertile or Maybe Not Husband

Chapter 1161

Chapter 1161

He was about to say something when he heard Trisha say, “So you also accepted Jarred?”

Celeste was speechless.

Liam was confused.

He slowly turned to look at Trisha and asked, “What did you just say?”

Trisha quickly covered her mouth and whispered, “I didn’t say anything.”

Liam said stemly, “You said Letti accepted Jarred”

Trisha stuttered, “You heard wrong

She decisively chose to abandon Letti and run away alone, “Right, I’m hungry too. I’m going to see if there’s any steak left.”

And off she went

Celeste was speechless

Trusting Trisha was a mistake, as she had a tendency to speak foolishly

Liam turned back to Celeste, his eyes dark, “Explain.”

Celeste swallowed and whispered. “Can we discuss this at home? We still have a show to put on.”

Liam remained expressionless and speechless

Seeing his expression, Celeste knew she had to explain.

She coughed lightly and murmured, “Actually, it’s nothing. It’s just that Jarred was my first love”

Liam’s face visibly dropped.

He gritted his teeth and asked, “Didn’t you say you didn’t know him?”

Celeste whispered, “I was afraid you’d get upset if you found out.”

“So you knew I’d be upset, and you still hid it from me?”

“I didn’t mean to hide it from you, Celeste gently traced his hand with her fingers, “I didn’t expect to see him here. I was taken aback and didn’t know how to tell you. You’re easily jealous, if you got upset and decided not to play along, we would’ve come here for nothing.”

Liam still looked stemn

Celeste softened her tone, “Liam, Liam? Mr. Reed?”

Liam remained unmoved.

She gritted her teeth and decided to go for broke, “My dear, stop being angry with me, you can punish me however you want when we get home, okay? Being angry is bad for your health. It hurts me to see you like this.”

Liam’s heart skipped a beat

He looked down to see Celeste looking at him with puppy dog eyes. She knew him too well. Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

Liam wanted to lose his temper, but he couldn’t bring himself to do so.

He glanced at her and asked in a deep voice, “How long did you two date?”

Celeste came clean, “Last semester of senior year.”

Liam’s brows furrowed abruptly getting hot under the collar “You’re about to apply for colleges, and you’re in the mood for love?”

Celest replied in a hushed tone. “That’s why we split after just two weeks I was afraid it’d mess up my future.”

Liam grudgingly accepted this reasoning, then continued to grill her. ‘Did you go after him, or did he come after you?”

Celeste lowered her voice, “Can we continue this at home?”

Liam stared at her, “You initiated it, didn’t you?”

Celeste was speechless

She licked her lips lightly and said, “We were at the same summer camp, sharing a desk. He seemed a bit slow, always forgetting what the teacher said, and kept borrowing my notes. After a while, I found him to be quite a nice guy, so I asked if we could be together. He agreed, and I couldn’t believe how easily I won him over

Liam snorted, “Mainly because he’s a looker, right?”

Celeste had no words

Liam wasn’t buying the ‘He seemed a bit slow excuse. Not that he didn’t trust Celeste, but he didn’t believe Jared’s spiel was genuine.

He knew Damon Wilson’s son was studying at a prestigious university overseas. The admission standards there were high, requiring excellent academic ability and some talent

How could he possibly not understand the teacher’s lectures, needing to borrow Celeste’s notes?
