Chapter 1191
Chapter 1191
Celeste had just entered Cuisine Cascade when Liam finally took his eyes off her.
Simon Rowley sent a message saying, “Handle the show–up fee, will ya?”
Liam glanced at it and responded with a screenshot of a banner, “On it. Will send it over to your wife’s workplace later.”
Simon replied, “A three–dollar banner? Our wedding gift was more than three dollars.”
Liam then screenshotted Simon’s message and sent it to Michaela Sanders, asking, “How much? I’ll cover it.”
Michaela replied, “Don’t listen to him. We didn’t give any gifts”
Liam screenshotted Michaela’s reply and sent it to Simon.
Simon was silent for a while before he sent Liam an emoji flipping him off
Liam loosened his tie and asked, “What about the thing I asked you to look into last time?”
Simon corrected him, “You didn’t ask me to look into it; you asked me to steal it.
Liam responded nonchalantly, “Isn’t hacking into various security systems something you do all the time?”
Simon said seriously, “That’s called assisting in patching up their vulnerabilities”
Simon’s computer skills allowed him to easily break through layers of security systems and even modify data without being traced.
Although Michaela came from a humble background, she was firm and self–reliant.
However, Simon’s parents had always been dissatisfied with their marriage and have pointed this out publicly and privately or several occasions.
Michaela had a lot of self–esteem and a strong personality. After getting married, she insisted on notarizing both sides‘ property with Simon. She wanted to make it clear that even if they were to divorce in the future, she would not take advantage of Simon.
But the notary never went through. Every time they went to the notary, the computer system there would have an issue that required maintenance.
Michaela didn’t know why, but their friends did.
It was all Simon’s doing.
He wasn’t worried about Michaela taking advantage of him. Even if it meant hacking into other people’s systems, he refused to notarize the property
Liam regretted it when he thought about it.
When he and Letti were getting a divorce, he was so angry that he couldn’t think straight. If he had been calmer and asked Simon to hack into the city hall system, he wouldn’t have ended up being an ex–husband. Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.
Thinking of this, Liam asked in a low voice, “Can you hack into the city hall system and annul my divorce with Letti?”
Simon said helplessly, “I can also hack into city hall and annul Uncle Reed’s death certificate, do you want me to do that too?”
He continued. “Your divorce with Letti, just like Uncle Reed’s death, are both established facts. Besides, there are cameras everywhere; do you think the staff are idiots?”
Liam responded without backing down, “Then hack the cameras too.”
Simon was at a loss.
Last night, Michaela finally had a day off. They intended to take a walk by the river when Liam called them over to help. After they finished helping, they planned to continue their date, but a new case came in at the station, and Michaela left him to handle it.
Having no chance to enjoy some alone time with his wife, Simon was full of animosity towards Liam. Upon hearing his request, he flipped him off.
