Chapter 69
Chapter 69
The strict rules and regulations set by the Old Master had made Valiant East a successful company.
Anyone who violated the rules, regardless of who he was, would bear the consequences.
Hank Granger violated one of the rules for a woman, so he was thrown away and left to die outside.
Harry knew that his life was over.
He desperately grabbed the Old Master's legs, begging. But the Old Master refused to even look at
him.
"You've let me down, Harry. From now on, Steven and you are suspended from work. You'd better stay
at home and don't appear in front of me!"
The Old Master stomped out with his assistant’s help.
Amos followed and left the room with Eudora while Harry screamed, "Amos Granger, it was you who Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.
planned all these, didn't you?"
Amos raised his eyebrows and replied, "Uncle, you can’t simply accuse others just because you are in
a bad mood. Aren’t you the one who brought this upon yourself?"
Amos went out with Eudora right away.
A loud bang came from the room. Someone was apparently smashing things. As they returned, they
saw the Old Master waiting for them outside the room.
"Come over. Let's have a talk," he said.
Eudora turned to leave at once, knowing that her presence would not be welcomed. However, the Old
Master asked her to stay.
"You come over too," he instructed.
Eudora raised her eyebrows.
“Have a seat," he added.
He sighed and said, "Amos, you have rested long enough. The company needs you now. You need to
get the money back from the Coopers. Go to work tomorrow."
Amos’ eyes widened. "But my vacation’s not over yet."
"You..." The Old Master’s face froze, and he turned to Eudora. "How do you feel now, Miss George?
Shall I ask the doctor to do a check-up for you?"
It was the first time that he showed his concern over her. Eudora looked at him, she knew he wanted
her help to persuade Amos.
However, she couldn’t deny that it was indeed a good opportunity for Amos to return to the company.
"I feel much better," Eudora answered softly.
"Since Miss George has recovered, you don’t have to stay by her side the entire day.” The Old Master
stared at Amos. He paused for a while and continued, ’’ I will not concern myself with your relationship
in the future." He got up and walked away while holding his assistant’s arm.
Eudora was overjoyed hearing that. "Did he mean that he won't intervene in our relationship anymore?
Then we..."
"Are you that happy?" Amos looked at her and grinned.
Eudora nodded hurriedly. "Aren’t you?"
Amos did not say a word and took her into his arms.
They went back home from the church in the afternoon.
Eudora had almost recovered after the trip - all thanks to the fresh air there.
Amos went to the company the next morning. Aunt Valerie was all ready when Eudora woke up. “Sir
asked me to go to the hospital with you for your check-up."
Eudora felt that it wasn't necessary for her to go for the check- up. However, Aunt Valerie insisted on
making her go.
After the check- up, the doctor declared that her wounds were almost fully healed. She just had to take
good care of herself from now on.
Aunt Valerie was elated to hear that. "Thank goodness. I'll go to the market to buy some food for you.
You have to quickly recover to give birth to a baby."
Eudora’s face flushed as she didn't expect that Aunt Valerie would remember it. Aunt Valerie didn’t
think that it was something to be ashamed of. "Giving birth to a baby is a natural process. You don't
have to feel embarrassed," she exclaimed.
The two of them left the hospital as they were talking.
They bumped into Harry at the hospital entrance. Steven was holding his arm with Kaylene on his other
side. They didn’t seem to be doing quite well.
Harry gritted his teeth when he overheard Eudora and Aunt Valerie’s conversation.
He greeted, "Miss George!"
Eudora paused and looked at Harry. She didn't want to have anything to do with them.
Harry sneered and asked, "Do you think Amos really likes you? It's impossible for a person like him to
fall in love!"
Eudora frowned. "How could you say that when you're his uncle?"
"Uncle?" He laughed as if Eudora was saying something ridiculous. "He’s the one who did all these to
me. Just like now he had sacrificed me for you, he's going to sacrifice you and hurt you one day for
someone else. Don’t be manipulated by him. Take my advice! You don’t know him at all!"
"Thank you so much, Second Master. I'll make the judgment on my own!" Eudora replied.
On their way back, Aunt Valerie nagged, "He went too far. How could he say such a thing about his
own nephew? Miss George, believe me, Sir is definitely not the kind of person he said he was." Eudora
nodded. "I know."
As she spoke, her phone rang.
Amos asked on the other end of the phone, "How did the check-up go?"
"It's all right!" Eudora exclaimed, "What about you? How's it going in the company?"
"Perfect!" Amos lowered his voice and added, "Wash up and wait for me to come home."
Eudora blushed. She was about to raise her voice but decided not to as Aunt Valerie was beside her.
"Bye!"
Amos hung up the phone and returned to the private room.
Jeremy was sitting before Amos with his legs crossed. He smiled, "I haven't settled with your family
about the matter of your uncle. Why did you come to me?"
Amos sat back and stared at him. His face was expressionless and cold.
"Mr. Cooper, you shouldn't mix things up. We don’t deal with the personal matter between my uncle
and you. However, the money you robbed was from Valiant East. I don’t think you would want to go
against us, am I right?”
"I don't care. It's Harry who sent me the money!" Jeremy was indeed a rogue businessman.
Amos laughed, "It looks like you’ve made your choice. Then I shall pass this clip to the police." He
stood up and left instantly.
Jeremy’ s expression changed. "What do you mean?"
Amos glanced at Clint, who then immediately started showing a video in front of Jeremy.
The video was about Jeremy's deal with Thomas Shelby. His face darkened before he burst out
laughing for no reason.
"F*ck, no wonder Valiant East can be so successful under your lead. I give up!” Jeremy glanced at his
assistant who quickly returned the box he robbed from Harry to Amos.
