No Chance of Remarriage: Get Lost

Chapter 2056 Medicinal Diet

Chapter 2056 Medicinal Diet

Bella and Elisa chatted casually as they finished a plate of strawberries.

Gareth had finished preparing the dishes as well.

Looking at the empty plate, he remained silent.

In the past few days, Elisa had been struggling to eat much of anything. However, that day, she surprisingly managed to eat some fruit, which was a positive development.

The dishes were served, and Gareth invited the two women to sit down.

Bella assisted Elisa in sitting at the dining table. Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.

Then, Bella noticed several home-cooked dishes on the table. There was potato salad, tomato-baked eggs, hot wings, and caramelized carrot soup.

They weren’t extravagant dishes, but they certainly looked appetizing.

Furthermore, the combination of meat and vegetables was highly nutritious.

Every meal of the day was prepared by Gareth himself, following recipes specially designed by professionals he had hired.

His level of dedication was truly unmatched.

As soon as he sat down, Gareth began serving food into Elisa’s bowl.

In no time, a small mountain of food had piled up in the bowl.

Elisa looked at Gareth, feeling somewhat helpless.

“All right, all right, that’s enough. I can’t eat any more than this,” Elisa said while protectively guarding her bowl as if it were a fragile chick.

Otherwise, she wouldn’t be able to finish the entire bowl.

Bella’s gaze shifted between the two. Then, she revealed a teasing smile. She casually picked up a spoonful of potato salad while muttering under her breath.

“Oh dear, no one is serving me. I’ll help myself and see if my cousin’s culinary skills are as impressive as his knife work.” As Bella spoke, she tasted the spoonful of food.

Gareth glanced at her, his voice devoid of emotion. “Even while eating, you can’t seem to stop talking.”

Bella continued eating before her eyes widened, and she stood there, completely stunned.

“What’s wrong?” Elisa asked with concern, looking at Hella and then glancing at Gareth. Is there something wrong with the potato salad? Is it too salty or too sour?

Gareth was quite confident in his own cooking skills. He simply crossed his arms and calmly observed Bella.

The expression on Bella’s face was difficult to describe

It was as if Bella was savoring something, yet also seemed quite uncomfortable.

Elisa turned around, fetched a glass of water, and handed it to Bella.

Bella took the water but didn’t drink it. She held it for a moment before finally speaking. “This is incredibly delicious! Gareth, are you sure you didn’t just order takeout and pretend you cooked this?”

Seeing the situation, Elisa breathed a sigh of relief. And here I was worrying. In the end, Bella just thought the dish was too delicious. All’s well that ends well.

Gareth pretended to want to knock on Bella’s head, causing her to flinch back slightly. Then, she tightly gripped Elisa’s hand as if she were a drowning person holding onto their last lifeline.

That strategy proved effective as Gareth ultimately refrained from striking.

Elisa laughed and said, “I thought it was because it tasted awful. Even if it’s delicious, it can’t be that good, right?”

Bella shook her head. She hadn’t exaggerated at all. The meal, which she had no expectations for, turned out to be surprisingly delicious.

Although it was just ordinary home-style food, the taste was simply incredible.

Even though Elisa was on a medicinal diet, the dishes were still made to be delicious.

For example, the caramelized carrot soup had licorice root in it, which gave it a unique flavor. It didn’t compromise the taste or make it feel disjointed.
