Chapter 60 She’s Fierce

Freya felt a strange sense of embarrassment surging up within her. As she clenched her fists, she cast a peek toward Radley and silently urged him to leave.

“Sir, are you mistaking me for someone else? I’m not Miss Kaufmann.”

Radley’s dark eyes shone with a faint glimmer. “Miss Kaufmann, when did you get this tattoo? It looks nice on you.”

Freya gritted her teeth. How could he, the supposedly intelligent one, act so dumb right now? Has he not noticed the look I’m giving him?

Chris looked at Radley as he was surprised to see his friend unable to hold himself back.

After that, he smiled. “Radley, I just arrived in Caltun and was thinking of visiting you.”

Freya frowned. “Do you two know each other?”

“Miss Parker, Radley and I are as close as brothers.” Chris smiled with a hint of malice. “But why did he call you Miss Kaufmann? Isn’t Paker your family name?”

In a flash, Freya figured it out. She had been fooled!

Since Chris was Radley’s friend, he must have recognized her from the beginning!

Instead, he acted as if he didn’t know her and played along with her acting.

Freya clenched her fists. Considering that she was pregnant, she restrained her anger.

“Hey, is this fun for you?” She looked at Radley coldly.

Radley pursed his lips and explained for the first time. I’m just accompanying Chris on his blind date. I didn’t expect it to be you.”

At this moment, Freya’s aura had already changed. She put on her coat and picked up her bag.

Her whole body was enveloped with a mixture of anger and coldness. Then, she glared fiercely at Radley and Chris before turning around and walking outside.

Chris looked innocent and uttered, “Wow, she’s fierce.”

When he spoke, he sensed a sudden drop in temperature around him. Then, he turned to look at Radley.

Radley’s eyes were icy cold.

“W-What’s wrong?”

With the tightness in his chest that he couldn’t seem to release, Radley thought of Freya’s expression when she left. Immediately after that, he walked quickly out of the restaurant.

Finally, he managed to catch up with her at the entrance of the restaurant.

“What do you want?” Freya tried to shake off his hand.

However, he grabbed her wrist tightly. “I don’t have anything to do with this.”

“You’re right. You were just a spectator watching the show.” Freya gritted her teeth. Despite knowing that she was in the wrong, she was enraged and felt as if she was being played.

As a car passed by, Radley turned serious and pulled her closer. In a low and mellow voice, he said, “Stop making a scene.”

She pursed her lips. “Fine, I admit that it was my mistake. Can you let go of me now?”

He didn’t release his grip. Instead, he narrowed his eyes as he looked at her. “Why did you pretend to be Isabella Parker to go on this blind date?”

What if the man who shows up for the blind date ends up falling for her?

Freya pursed her lips. As she thought about the relationship between Radley and Chris, she suppressed her anger and explained, “Isabella is my future sister-in-law.”

At this, Radley immediately understood. After a few seconds of silence, he said, “I’ll take care of this. I’ll make sure the Holland family informs the Parker family that Chris isn’t interested in Isabella.”

Freya glanced at him. Is he really that kind?

However, her anger had dissipated.

“Okay. Can you let go of me now?”

Radley released his hand and watched her get into the car and drive away.

He could still feel the touch of her wrist between his fingers. Her slender and delicate wrist softened his heart.

At this moment, Chris also followed him out. “Radley, why-

With an indifferent expression, Radley turned around and stated, “Chris, after you go back. tell your family that you are not interested in Isabella and have already rejected her.”

Chris’ eyelids twitched. “No way! My grandpa values this blind date so much. If I tell him, he’ll punish me according to our family rules! The punishment in my family is severe, and you’ve seen it before!”

Radley pursed his lips. “I’ll sponsor you the building for your bar in Caltun.”

“What about the equipment?”

“It’s included.”

With that, Chris ran his fingers to calculate and realized that he could save tens of millions.

Several tens of millions in exchange for the punishment seemed reasonable.

“Deal! I only agree to this because you’re my friend.”

After leaving the blind date restaurant, Freya went straight home and used water to remove her temporary tattoo and makeup from her face.

When she came out of the bathroom, she received a call from Isabella.

Isabella’s voice was excited. “Wow, Frey, you’re incredible! I heard that Chris Holland was really unhappy

with the blind date. My parents were angry, and Chris was even punished by his grandpa. I feel bad for him.”

Freya couldn’t help but feel a little sympathy for Chris. Although he did nothing wrong, he was still penalized for no reason. She had heard of him as the young master of the Holland family in Vroria.

To her surprise, Radley had actually convinced Chris to take the blame.

Freya’s mood was complicated. After hanging up the phone, she lay on the bed and stared at the ceiling.

Radley had been showing some “kindness” toward her lately, but she always thought of him as a terrible sc*mbag.

But then again, since he was with Danna, why was he showing kindness toward her?

Freya turned over and couldn’t figure it out, so she decided not to think about it.

On the weekend.

Freya got up early and changed into a gray casual outfit that highlighted her well-proportioned figure. Despite her simple clothing, she still exuded a sense of elegance.

She tied her hair into a ponytail and prepared to leave after breakfast.

Sylvia was sitting in the living room. “It’s the weekend today. Isn’t Ayden the one in charge of the company? Where are you going?”

Freya carried a big bag on her back and replied, “I’m going to visit Madam Daniella at the Monaghans’

mansion.”

“You’re going to the Monaghans’ mansion?” Sylvia sat up straight and furrowed her eyebrows. “Why are you going there?”

Freya smiled. “Mom, no matter what the Monaghan family is like, Madam Daniella still treats me as her granddaughter. Doesn’t hurt me to be nice to her too.”

After trying to persuade her for a while, she also informed Sylvia about Daniella’s Alzheimer’s disease.

“Okay, I can’t stop you anyway. But make sure you come back soon after visiting her. Don’t stay there for too long, alright?” Sylvia was ultimately soft-hearted but still a little angry. “If the Hamilton woman

bullies you again, don’t let her get away with it! And as for Radley-

The Hamilton woman that Sylvia referred to was Radley’s mother, Rosie Hamilton.

Freya responded with a smile. “Mom, do you really think that I’m easy to bully? Besides, Radley doesn’t stay in the Monaghans’ mansion, so I won’t run into him.”

After finally convincing Sylvia, Freya drove to the Monaghans’ mansion.

Her car smoothly arrived at the front of the villa without any obstruction when she got there.

Daniella knew that Freya would come every weekend, so she had instructed all the servants and security guards to let her in immediately upon arrival.

The villa was decorated in a classic style. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

By the time Freya walked in. Daniella had already been informed of her arrival and had come out to welcome her. “Frey, you are finally here! I’ve missed you so much.”

“Madam Daniella,” Freya called out sweetly as she held Daniella’s arm. “I’ve missed you too.”

Then, she took out a box of herbal sachets from her bag, saying. These are some calming herbal sachets I’ve prepared for you. They can help you with good sleep.”

Daniella happily accepted the gift. After that, she scolded Freya, “Don’t call me Madam Daniella, just call me Grandma. Do you not recognize me as your grandma anymore?”

“Alright, Grandma,” Freya replied.

Despite her old age, Daniella was quite childish in her behavior. Freya felt a deep connection with her as they chatted in the living room.
