Obsessive CEO’s Sinful Wife

Chapter 166

Chapter 166

Serenity was not even sure if she could meet Jackson if she really went to Valor Group’s office building in the afternoon, but there was nowhere else she could go to find him anyway. Thinking of this, she suddenly realized how little she knew of him. She did not even know where he lived!

When she finally arrived at Valor Group headquarters, she discovered that not only was there no chance to meet Jackson Valor, but she could not even get inside the building because the security guards had blocked her entrance at the door.

She told them that she was there to meet Jackson Valor, but all she got was their sneers and mocking looks.

“If Mr. Valor would meet everyone who wants to meet him, he’d have no time to do anything else! Do you know how many people like you come here demanding to see him every day?”

“But at least the others would dress up nicely before asking to meet Mr. Valor. Who would believe that you know Mr. Valor personally when you’re wearing shabby clothes like that?”

Serenity looked down at her clothes and realized that these were all cheap discounted clothes which must have made her look shoddy and scruffy to others. It would not be a surprise that in the security guards‘ eyes, she was nothing more than a woman who had come here to take advantage of Jackson

Right now, the only way she could try to meet Jackson was the dumbest way, and that was to stand guard outside the entrance, waiting to see him.

She gathered the cotton coat she was wearing and hugged it more tightly against her body. The winter breeze blew against her bare neck, and the cold seeped in through her coat, freezing her.

Serenity rubbed her hands against each other and blew warm breaths onto them to warm herself up while both of her eyes were fixed on the exit of the huge building. She was determined to stay there until Jackson came out. She knew, of course, that there were many exits from the building, but all she could. do now was to guard the exit she deemed most likely to be where Jackson could walk out from and wait for him.

Suddenly, Serenity’s eyes glimmered. She had just noticed Connor Gunn getting out of his car and walking Into the Valor Group building

“Mr. Gunn!” Serenity shouted hastily. Connor was the only person in Jackson’s life that she knew.

Connor turned toward the direction where the voice came from and froze for a moment when he saw Serenity, almost as if it had come as a huge surprise to him.

“Miss Lewis!” He walked up to her and politely asked, “What are you doing here?”

“I…” Serenity bit her lips, seeming quite embarrassed, “I want to meet… Mr. Jackson Valor, but I couldn’t

get inside the building. Mr. Gunn, may I trouble you to take me to Mr. Valor?”

Connor considered it for a while before replying, “Okay, Miss Lewis. Come with me.”

As he spoke, Connor led the way, and Serenity began to follow him inside.

Meanwhile, the security guards who had been jeering at her were dumbfounded.

“Did… Did she just go inside with Mr. Gunn?”

“It looked like Mr. Gunn even treated her with respect!”

“It can’t be that that woman really does know Mr. Valor, right?”

The security guards looked at each other, and they all broke out in cold sweat for no apparent reason. Serenity followed Connor into the elevator and then all the way up to the floor where the CEO’s office was. It was a quiet floor. She followed Connor to the office door, where he turned to her and said, “Please walt here for a moment, Miss Lewis. I go inside and inform my boss that you’re here.”

“Okay,” she responded, looking downcast and humble.

Not long afterward, Connor reemerged from the office and told Serenity that she could go inside now.
