Chapter 659
Lucas could not resist looking out the window, wondering why he was staring at the couple. He thought he should have figured it out by now–Lynette was the one he had been looking for.
It was Lynette who had saved his life. Based on all the information he had found, Lynette had not been happy these past few years. Lucas was determined to treat Lynette as well as he could to repay her for saving his life. However, his heart felt empty after finding Lynette, almost as if he had lost something– something very important to him. Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.
“Lucas, what are you staring at?” Lynette’s voice rang out.
Lacas turned his head and saw Lynette walking over. He stepped forward and said, “It’s nothing. I’m heading back now. Call me if there’s anything.”
“Are you leaving already?” Lynette seemed very reluctant to let him go. “It’s late. Why don’t you spend the night here and leave tomorrow? The guest rooms are ready.”
“No, I have something important to do at the office tomorrow. I’d better go back,” Lucas said.
Hearing that, Lynette could not say anything else but yes. She then accompanied Lucas to where he had parked.
“Hey, Lucas. My ex–husband is backing out of the previous agreement. I have to pay him an extra 15 million to get him to sign the divarer papers,” Lynette said. She had told everyone that she was already divorced, but technically speaking, she was still married in the eye of the Law.
“If you really feel that marriage with him is a pain, I’ll help you. Don’t worry about the divorce. The court hearing is in at couple of days. He’ll definitely agree to the divorce,” Lucas said flatly.
Feeling reassured by Lucas promise, Lynette looked at Lucas with admiration. Lucas was amazing. It seemed like all the problems were nothing to him. Only a man like him could be her prince!
Lynette had thought that she was going to muddle through the rest of her life. She never imagined meeting the Prince Lucas of the entertainment industry one day. He had just magically shown up in her life one day.
Lynette had read gossip news about Prince Lucas online. She thought a man like him was simply unattainable and far away. She never thought he could be so close at hand one day.
“I want to divorce him,” Lynette stated with determination. She knew that only after the divorce could she be with Lucas
“Alright. I’ll get Jonas to sign,” Lucas said. “Also, you said you wanted to study at the university. I’ve made the arrangements. After the funeral, someone will pick you up and take you to Solaria. You can decide whether you want to live in the school dormitory or buy a house outside and live alone.”
This great news filled Lynette with joy. Her low education had always been a shame to her. She could not wait to improve. acadernically, allowing herself to eventually stand by his side.
“Lucas, you’re so kind to me!” Lynette broke into a sweet smile.
Looking at Lynette’s smile, Lucas remained cold and unfeeling. He thought he would be happy to find the little girl from back then. He always thought what he wanted the mast was to see her smile.
Unfortunately, he did not feel the slightest happiness seeing Lynette’s sanile. There was nothing but an inexplicable feeling of disappointment. Lynette’s smile seemed unfamiliar to him, lile a complete stranger’s.
What was wrong with him? Finding her was all he ever wanted!
“Because you saved me once. It’s only right that I treat you well,” Lucas answered.
