Omega Princess

Chapter 45

I woke up to yelling all around me. My head was pounding and the light of the sun was too bright. I could hear Vincent and the King. The king yelled, "put the dragons in the cells. It is a trick! They will kill us all."

Vincent tried to calm the king but to no avail. Next, I heard was Cole's voice. "Look at what he did to your mate. You would not defend her. She chose wrong."

I heard Vincent growl and things breaking. A sharp pain went through my side. I screamed. "What is going on." The pain in my side was that Cole had shifted and tore a gash in Vincent. "I don't need this. Drake I have linked Dr. Rosenbaum, please take me to the hospital. The Wolfsbane could have affected the baby he needs to run tests. I will guide you." I was still too weak to walk and now Vincent would need the Dr. himself.NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

"Vincent," I said. "Meet me there. Everyone else return to your rooms. The dragons are the reason I am alive. I will get to the bottom of this, but I have more pressing concerns, like my pup and future Alpha of this pack."

Everyone looked at me shocked. I guess Vincent hadn't told the royal family I was with child. Vincent looked concerned but him healing as well will help me heal.

Cole came over to me. "I am sorry. I didn't mean for it to hurt you." He grabbed my hand. "You hurt my family you hurt me. Vincent is my family. Please don't forget that in the future."

"You can not tell me what to do." The king said as Drake spun back around with me in his arms.

It was too much I threw-up all over the ground. "It is for her I don't kill you now." He slowly turned back and ran towards the hospital. I had put the map of the pack hospital in his mind so I could close my eyes against his chest.

In the background we could hear "You could try. You would lose." I reached out to the king's mind and forced him to return to his room. Making people do things was easier than knocking them out or killing them. Also, the king's mind was easy to enter. Must be all the lies he is keeping too many lies creates a weak mind.

Drake was warm as he walked me into the hospital and put me down on the bed. Vincent was already there healing as he had shifted the moment I had rebuked them. "I can take it from here," he said.

"If you don't mind. She is my only hope so I will stay to make sure she is ok." Drake grabbed my hand and Vincent grabbed the other. I smiled at them.

Vincent growled. I pulled on his hand to rebuke him.

Just at that moment Dr. Rosenbaum came running in and said. "My dear Filli, what am I to do with you. Why are you always coming here unconscious?" "The baby?" I said a tear falling from my eye.

"Yes. Gentlemen, please allow me space to work." The Dr. said. Drake moved back to the wall and Vincent still held my hand.

Dr. Rosenbaum removed my tank top. "Do you know how much wolfbane you have had?"

"Wolfsbane?" Vincent growled.

"I had some in my tea to get there and then a full syringe in my neck when we made our escape." I said.

"I got some of it out. That is why there is a cut on her neck." Drake said.

I hadn't realized that he must have used his talon to make a cut and sucked out some of the blood. Vincent's grip on my hand tightened to the point it hurt. "Vincent let go it is too tight. Thank you, Drake."

I can't imagine what Vincent had thought of Drake when he first arrived. He probably had felt the cut and sucking near or mark.

"Yes, yes. If you do not loosen your grip I may have to reset her hand." The Dr. said slapping Vincent's shoulder. He got out the ultrasound machine. Put the cold jelly on my belly and smoothed it around. I held my breath.

It would be the first time I saw my baby. I waited to hear the thumping of the heartbeat. Soon it was there. "As I can now confirm you are just over 3 months. The one is stronger than the other." He said with a smile. "That is normal. It looks like the dragon got enough out before it circulated. Good thinking you saved the pups."

"Pups?" Vincent and I said in unison.

"Yes, congratulations you are having twins." The Dr. said.

I pulled Vincent into my arms and kissed him. The kissed washed all the worry and anger away. It left only feeling of calm and happiness. Dr. Rosenbaum cleared his throat to get our attention.

"It still did impact you. Along with what I expected was a large use of magic." He shook his head at me. "At least this time you woke in the same day. You are much stronger than we thought. If you don't mind I will take your blood and run some labs to ensure everything else is ok and for my research."

I just lifted my arm so he could take it. Vincent walked over to Drake and shook his hand. "I owe you a debt. You saved my heart."

"No thanks needed. I have my reasons and they do not have anything to do with trying to steal your Luna" he replied. Looking over at me. "You need to keep your bargain."

"I will," I said. I linked some Omegas to set up rooms in the guest house for the dragons. "Until I am better to set my trap, I would invite you all to stay. The guest house will be ready for you in an hour."

"We will stay. Do you plan on letting me in on your plan?" he asked, and Vincent turned to me.

"What trap?" he asked.

"Loose lips sink ships," I said. "For now, I am the only one that needs to know." This was partially because I wasn't entirely sure how I was going to have the king publicly tell the truth and partially because I didn't know what to do after he did. It wasn't a lie per se. I did have a plan just not the details.

"Come on you trusted me this far and I almost died today." I smiled at Drake. "At least you didn't have to kill me."

Vincent growled "WHAT?" turning on Drake.

"You are evil." Drake said as I laughed. "It was her idea." He pointed at me and held his hands up in defense. "I think I will get my family to the guest house. I will see you later."

"I think that is best. Bye," I said and waved to Vincent to come sit by me.

He was still fuming. But I grabbed his hand. "I love you, and I missed you." I kissed him.

"Don't think you are getting away that easily,' he said. "What is this about your plan to die at the hands of a dragon?"

"I will tell you later. Right now, we can be happy for a few seconds. I am home and we are having twins." He crawled into bed with me. "You may want to link your parents before the royals tell them."

"I told them the moment you were gone," he said. "I was a mess without you. I have had teams searching all over for you. Reagan will get home tomorrow morning as she was the first to volunteer to search." "Didn't Marcus tell you I had a plan?" I looked up at him.

"He did, but your plans are normally crazy and put you at risk." I nodded in agreement to his statement. It was fairly factual.

"Now get some rest." He kissed the top of my head and I closed my eyes. I liked the hospital bed. It was small, so there was no room between us. I was practically using Vincent as a pillow. Because of how muscular he his you wouldn't think he makes the best pillow. Soon enough, I fell asleep. My dreams were peaceful and of Vincent and I playing with our pups. The girl like Vincent with dark hair. The boy had white, blonde hair like mine and violet eyes. They were playing with Kaite and Millie.

I woke up. It was late in the morning. Vincent had moved to the desk in the room. I watched as he worked. He was typing away furiously. I hated being the person on the other side of that email. His hair had fallen around his face. "Good morning," I said.

He looked up, smiled, and came over to my side. "How are you feeling?"

"Better ready to go home." I said, sitting up to kiss him. Just then one of the babies moved. "Oh, feel."

I took his hand and placed it on my belly. One of the twins kicked out so he could feel it. He looked up in awe and kissed me. "I love you," he said.

"I love you too," I responded. "Now about my plan. You are not going to like it, but it is a good plan. Well, it is a seedling of a plan really. It is a good goal. I will tell you more when I know we are somewhere no one else can hear." The door opened. Dr. Rosenbaum and Drake walked in. "I see you are better already," Dr. Rosenbaum said, "Let me check on the pups and we will be good to go."

I laid down and lifted my shirt up so he could spray the jelly on my belly. "Well Doc. How are my pups?" I said a little apprehensive.

"They are strong. I am concerned, as one is half the size of the other. Given your size is also small, it may be that one takes after you." Dr. Rosenbaum wiped off my stomach and replaced my shirt.

"I can go home?" I questioned.

"You can go home," he replied.

I sat up with Vincent's help. "So you have a plan and we are having lunch," Drake said. "It will be just like old times but your mate will be present."

"I also will not be your prisoner." I smiled up at him as I stood.

"Oh, I don't think you were ever my prisoner." Drake said, allowing us to lead the way.

I looked up at Vincent and leaned into him. I fit so perfectly under his arm. "Lunch in your office?"

"Whatever you want, as long as your plan doesn't involve you being captured again," he said, and Drake laughed.

"What do you mean again?" Drake asked.

"If you are up to it, we can walk back to the pack house, and I can tell Drake all about your fondness for being a captive." Vincent teased.

I think Drake and Vincent will be good friends. You never know when you might need a dragon. "I would love the walk."

After Vincent told him the story of my first capture, the boys bonded of jokes and shared trials of being leaders. Drake had not found his mate in any of the dragons and, unlike wolves, they were not allowed to choose.

We were about to enter the house when the warriors were returning. The three SUVS pulled up to the front. Out jumped Reagan. Drake went stiff next to me, and Reagan flipped around to look at him.

I knew that look, but how could it be? Suddenly, both said, "mate."
