Chapter 140 Choosing One from the Two
Chapter 140 Choosing One from the Two
Joe felt as if he saw a savior and left the room. Anger turned into joy. Angel ran to Aadam, took his arm
and asked when she acted girly, "Aadam, where have you been? I've been looking for you for a long
time." This was what her future mother-in-law told her. Girls needed to be gentle to keep their men.
Aadam was stunned, not knowing what was wrong with her.
The weather was good today, but Antonio was gloomy. It was difficult for him to fall asleep yesterday. In
fact, he did not fall asleep. Therefore, his eyes were slightly dark when he got up in the morning.
Not in good spirits, he cancelled the regular meeting of the company in the morning. Until noon, he was
still sleeping in the office like a defeated lion.
What happened in the hotel yesterday emerged in his mind again and again although he chose to
leave silently in the end.
However, proud as he, how could he not be angry? Who was willing to be cuckolded by his wife? Not to
mention that he was the famous and proud Antonio!
Every word Adelaide said hurt him like a whip, torturing his heart.
How would he have put up with this if he no longer loved her?
Oscar went into the office with light steps, "Mr. Antonio, would you like to have lunch?"
Antonio didn't raise his head, "No." His voice was muffled. It seemed that his mouth was pressing on
his arm, making people feel sorry for him.
When Oscar was about to say something, someone came in suddenly.
Oscar stared at the uninvited guest with puzzled eyes and was about to ask when the young man
preemptively said, "Why, Antonio, you became prostrated so soon? I have thought that you were very
extraordinary."
While talking, he already sat leisurely in the chair opposite to Antonio's. Originally, Antonio buried his
head between his arms, but now he raised his head quickly and stared at the man with his sharp eyes.
It was summer, but Oscar couldn't help shivering out of coldness.
"You can go out now." After a long pause, Antonio said a simple sentence to Oscar.
Oscar stared at the young man and Antonio quizzically and finally left the office.
"Mr. Bailey must come to find me for something important." Antonio looked at the young man who was
several years younger than him, and suddenly smiled.
Yes, the unexpected guest who suddenly came to Antonio's office was Aadam.
Last night was the night of harvest for him. Adelaide fell in love with him. What was more interesting
was that the proud Antonio left under such circumstances.
No matter why Antonio would endure Adelaide's excessive behavior, Aadam had a great sense of
achievement and satisfaction in his heart to be able to let such a powerful opponent swallow the bitter
pill in silence.
Actually, he came the Baron Group with a task today.
He wanted to sell his agency right to the Baron Group at a very low price, but this was not what he
cared about most. What he cared about most was if Antonio would cooperate with him on condition that
he was likely to have an affair with his wife?
Self-esteem and interests, which would Antonio choose?
Even if sitting on the opposite seat of Antonio, he was eager to know his choice when he imagined his
expression when facing the dilemma.
"Mr. Antonio, I surely come to help you." Aadam crossed his legs, "I heard that you are under constant
pressure from people with ulterior motives of the Board of Directors because you lost the bid last time.
It seems that someone wants you to leave office as soon as possible."
"If you want to say anything, just say it. Didn't you grow up in the United States? Why do you talk in an
indirect way like the traditional people from C County? Aren't Americans always direct?" Antonio looked
straight at Aadam with cold eyes and spoke ironically.
Aadam smiled bitterly, "This may be because I am C Country’s blood."
After a pause, Aadam continued, "What I want to say is that you are definitely in urgent need of my
project now. In current J City, which project can be as valuable as my agency right?"
Antonio put his index finger on his cheek. After a moment's thought, he stood up and walked to the
window.
Outside the window was still a continuous stream of vehicles and people. Antonio looked at the cars
coming and going for a long time and then asked without turning around, "You suddenly regretted it
before. Why do you suddenly come here to talk to me about cooperation now?"
"Nothing specially. I just want to help you for the sake of Adelaide." Aadam seemed harmless because
he was young, but it could be seen clearly that he was up to no good.
"Ha." Antonio went back to his seat and snapped his finger, "Mr. Bailey, we are both businessmen. Why
do you talk about these useless business? Just tell me your conditions."
There was a flash of sneer and disdain in Aadam's eyes: the legendary Antonio was just so-so. He was
just someone like this? He still wanted to cooperate with me when his wife was about to leave him for © 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.
me? Oh, what a failure and shame such a life was.
But the really interesting thing had yet to come.
Aadam licked his dry lips with his tongue, "Right, we are all businessmen who cared about money very
much when doing something. Of course, I have a condition for the cooperation. However, it depends on
you whether it is too much or not. If you care, it will be too big a price for you. If you don't care, it will be
too small a price for you."
"Oh?" Antonio squinted his eyes slightly, "What you said interests me."
Aadam smiled significantly. This was the right time!
In fact, his condition could be said to be simple or difficult.
The condition was about Adelaide, Antonio's wife.
If Antonio was greedy for profit and had no feelings for Adelaide, it would be nothing but gain for him to
exchange a woman for a year's Delia's agency right.
After all, people needed not to be afraid of lacking women when they had money.
But if Antonio was a man with conscience and loved his wife deeply, it would be a difficult choice for
him to make then.
He could choose to give up the cooperation, but as a result, his position in the Baron Group would be
undermined. If the board knew that he gave up the cooperation with the Delia Group, he would be in
the danger of losing the position as chairman of the board.
When Aadam was about to talk, Antonio said again, "However, Mr. Bailey, I'm no longer interested in
acting as your agent. So, if you have any conditions, you can keep it and tell the company that is willing
to act as the agent of your brand."
